I love the idea behind this establishment. However the execution leaves much to be desired. I noticed right away that a dish labeled "Paleo" had soy in it (not paleo compliant). I have a health issues that requires strict compliance with a grain and dairy free diet; I asked about each item I ordered and was assured they were grain free and dairy free. Unfortunately, The young man working behind the counter was not familiar that grain-free is different than gluten-free, and recommended items that resulted in days of joint pain. If you want to enjoy a meal that is healthy and tasty and do not have specific dietary requirements, this is a great place to eat. However, if you have health issues requiring a specific diet, I would avoid.

Do not recommend. Their cupcakes had clumps of baking soda that they didn't mix in, the coffee was literally just milk, and there was a rat. Do not go here.

Delicious, fresh, and super friendly. The owner Pat is awesome, and he is also an excellent chef. I had the tastiest green smoothie I've ever had. Even the wheat grass shot he gave me was amazing. Highly recommend you stop in and try this wonderful restaurant/market/cafe.

I have been getting takeout from Intelligent Gourmet for years because they certainly live up to their name. They are one of the hidden gems of South Tampa, and if you are from elsewhere, worth the trip. At first glance, they resemble a normal deli with a touch of health food store, but here the emphasis is on health, done deliciously. The chef puts love in every bite, expertly blending spices in dishes that are friendly to both the keto and vegan persuasions. Imagine eating things not just free from harm but taste sensations, as if being lucky enough to have a favorite aunt that loves to cook for you that just happened to graduate from the CIA (Culinary Institute of America).I can't say enough good things about Intelligent Gourmet. It has remained a reliable source of some of my family's favorite edibles and treats, a place to stop for a cafe lunch with a friend, to cater a special event, and to have a friendly conversation with some very special people.Did I mention that their food helped my husband immensely after being diagnosed as a diabetic.Bless you, Intelligent Gourmet. :)

A true gem in South Tampa. I cannot recommend their "John's Pretty Plate" enough! It's a plate full of fresh, colorful, delicious, and filling goodness. I often eat here (their little patio out front is perfect) and then grab something else to take home for dinner.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian (and many vegan!) options available. I eat prodimently plant-based and I've been able to eat many different things on their menu.

I had a freshly made juice here, the Remedy, which was really refreshing and tasty. I also took a couple of black bean burgers to go. The burgers were ok, they each looked and tasted very different from the other even though they were the exact same item. Their prices are a bit high though, not sure they're justified by the quality/taste of their food.

Wow such a great little gem and great customer service. I did a same day order for a juice cleanse and arrived early to realize they make the cleanse juices from scratch! And to be honest this is the best cleanse I've ever done it's easy to digest and kept me full and I'm only on day 1! Will definitely be back

Cutest little cafe with all sorts of surprises. Right off manhattan in Virginia park this little gem is now going to be my new favorite spot. I had the pesto chicken sandwich and the remedy juice. So delicious! Bread was perfect the flavors were excellent. Good portion size. They also have vegan and keto desserts. They have ready to eat meals you can pick up and now I’m going to start doing this when I have a late night at work instead of ordering food for my family! The vibe inside is super cute and there’s an outdoor, dog friendly patio with lots of shade.

Fresh pressed juices made right there. Love that...& this asian salad was soooo good.. lots of other options.. vegan, dairy free, vegan…made with quality organic ingredients. Aka real food. Good customer service as well ?

Best restaurant is south Tampa, a real hidden gem. The food, ambiance and service were all excellent, plenty of healthy choices. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food and ingredients were amazing. I left there wanting more. Considering the ingredients, the food reasonably priced. We are very surprised it wasn’t busier. I’ll definitely go back for the food and drinks.I didn’t remove stars for the staff but the front lady could have been friendlier. Maybe she had an off day but it almost felt like being there was an inconvenience to her. She shut down the coffee machine 30 minutes before closing so she couldn’t give us the coffee we wanted. I went ahead and got the cold brew which ended up being good.

The best menu in Tampa. For those doing keto or health conscious, this place is paradise.Extraordinarily delicious organic food, with a market of wonderful staples for the kitchen. The best desserts that are sugar free and gluten free. Got a homemade candle which is beautiful.This is the best place for healthy fare.My favorite place in Tampa (dog friendly too)
