Forcibly depopulated from Citizens Insurance to Homeowners Choice. It is like working with a mom and pop operation from the stone ages. No working website where policy holders can log in, no way to make payments except by snailmail or calling their office and paying through a representative. What a waste of time. Someone should tell Homeowners Choice we are not living in the 1800's any longer. Time to catch-up with technology.

Called in and no one is answering the phones. They also sent someone elses claim to my address breaking privacy laws. My representative tried all day to reach the claim adjuster for a Proof of Loss Statement with no return calls.

Eve was so lovely, professional and helpful to us today as we called to ask a few questions about our Condo policy. She was very knowledgeable. You are fortunate to have Eve in your employ. We were also able to get to talk to Eve very quickly which is so respectful to your insureds.

Reliable carrier in a time during insolvencies & markets leaving the state of FL homeowners choice has been in the market and has been such a help with take outs of other companies not around anymore.

HCI has been an excellent company for many years for us and includes full water damage coverage rather than the very limited $10K that most of the other Florida insurance companies give for a water damage claim (including Citizens). Not to be confused with flood insurance which is a separate policy usually purchased through National flood. Homeowner's Choice has also not had the huge rate increases that many of the other Florida insurance companies have had where the renewals double and even triple in one year!

Our agency has had a good working relationship with Homeowners Choice for over 10 years. We have been able to get both good underwriting and claims support. Homeowners Choice has also not taken the large rate increases some other companies have. This really has helped some of our older clients.
