I just moved to to the area and was making salmon last night when I realized I forgot to bring aluminum foil with me. Luckily Duckweed is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights - a quick walk over and I was back to finishing my salmon. The service was good, it reminds me of the little neighborhood grocery I had when going to USF.
Friendly staff. Clean shelves and organized well.
Will definitely back in the future for grocery emergencies or maybe some libations. Great to have this in the neighborhood. Thoughtful.

Love this place, specially the liquor store employee Bobbi who treats everyone like family and is always smiling.Wish they could create a path to the liquor store from the grocery store so that it’s more convenient for liquor store employees to use the restroom. People get upset when the liquor store is closed but employees are human beings and need to use restroom too.

They never keep the liquor store staffed. Walk up to a locked door and then you have to go next store to the grocery section to get help. Every. Single. Time. Kept me waiting for 15 minutes. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Terrible.

No better way to start the weekend than heading into duckweed for some drinks and seeing Bobbi’s smiling face at the registrar!!! She treats her customers like family and is one of the reasons i will always shop there!!!

Not such a good look when your hours align with your store’s sign that reads “OPEN” yet your door is locked and you won’t answer my call at 11:50PM on a Saturday night. Very sad. Very disappointing. Unnecessary walk.

Duckweed Channelside has been my daily go to quick grocery for the last 3 years. The plus is they literally have 1-3 of anything you need quickly- bread, milk, beer, snack, quick frozen meal, etc. The staff is super friendly and attentive. They have a great liquor store that carries everything you want and it's decently priced. Since moving here, the owners obviously are focusing on their other locations not the growing Channel District. The restaurant left leaving half the space empty and you can no longer pick up a fresh, made to order, meal. The new Skratch Kitchen announced their opening on November 16, 2022 and it remains empty today. This past week, my daughter purchased an item that was defective. She took it back down and the manager said she didn't have the authority to refund her money or exchange the item she would need to "take it up with corporate". I tried using the contact us form on the website, the phone number on the website is disconnected, so I sent an email about a week ago with no reply. I'm not one to write negative reviews, but this experience sent me over the edge. One star for the sweet staff. One star for selection and convenience.

This place is a great little shop. Perfect to walk to especially for a late night snack.My personal go to is the ice cream sandwiches they stock. but they have like ready to eat meals, energy drinks, and all kinds of groceries if you want to attempt to do all your shopping there. Friendly staff too!

It’s really annoying when your google hours AND store front hours say you’re open but you’re not actually open.I prefer to support small local businesses but you’re too unreliable.I’ve had it happen before where the liquor store was closed and I’ve just gone into the market and had someone assist with liquor so I tried that again. Today the girl behind the counter spoke to where I could BARELY hear her, and said that the liquor store doesn’t open until 11.So in response to your response to my google review, I just wanna say that I’d love to have someone assist with liquor, but she’s either unaware or unwilling to assist.

Don’t say you guys close at 11 and you get there at 10:55 and your attendant says it’s closed cause she has to do inventory and she’s talking and having people in. Not fun.
