Went to local Dick's -- can't call it a Sporting Goods store since it doesn't supply sporting equipment for hunting/shooting sports, including target shooting, shooting clays, etc. Not even counting that they don't have firearms....

"this is Rodney, who do I have the pleasure of serving today?" Rodney chatted with me after he solved my situation and based on our conversatio, I'll never shop at another sporting goods store. They train their employees to leave everyone they "serve" feeling cared for.

My fiance and I came in to Dicks looking to add some workout equipment into our garage as we just moved into a new house and are making part of our garage, our gym. We needed a decent amount of weights and Sam and Joe were right there to help the entire way. We originally asked Sam, who was working diligently in another part of the store, if he could help us out and without hesitation brought us over to the right section. A lot of the equipment was really confusing price wise but Sam was so patient with us as he scanned almost all of the equipment we were interested in to tell us the correct price. Also, a lot of times when a worker is asked to go check the back they say ok and "go check the back", but Sam literally went in the back for a few minutes and came out with exactly what we needed, and it was the last one too! Sam was so patient, knowledgeable and professional with us during our entire interaction. He is the epitome of what I expect when I go into a store like Dicks where thinks, especially workout equipment is far from cheap. When we were done Sam and Joe both walked us to the register to make sure we were all set to go and content with everything we had picked for our new gym! Dicks is extremely lucky to have someone like Sam and should be valued for his work. Joe was great too, and knows a lot about the equipment we were looking into buying! Bravo boys!!

Bought a Pelican Trailblazer 100 NXT kayak today at the Citrus Park, FL store. A+++ service from Michael who helped get the kayak from the stockroom and he also assisted in getting the 240cm paddle I needed along with the life vest. Very pleased with my experience today, smooth as silk. Thank you!

Mixed feelings… been a long time since I’ve been inside a Dick’s store. First time at this location. Came specifically for workout shorts. Also looked at Birkenstocks. The lady restocking clothes was super sweet and helpful. Another lady in the shoes section was very kind and helpful as well.The guy at checkout… I was looking up coupons on my phone, as it seems like lately it’s more conducive to shopping online to receive coupons. He really couldn’t care much less about helping me. I ended up buying one less pair of shorts and thought about cancelling my order, simply because of the way he spoke to me. He may have genuinely not known if the store had any coupons- that’s what he said- “I don’t know.” But he could have asked, since it seemed to be important to me, and since I was showing him coupons for online orders. I could have purchased another pair of shorts, If he had chosen to provide excellent or even good/mediocre customer service. Just frustrating to feel like I’m missing out on something I was trying hard to get, simply because the employee “didn’t know” and wasn’t willing to try. All he cared about was me signing up for their rewards program. No, thank you. Next time, I’ll try a different store or shop online where the deals/coupons seem to be.

My review is for citrus park location.Tried to return shoes to that the home office said to go to my local store and exchange or get a refund but they wouldn't! I showed them screen shot of the home office saying so and they still wouldn't.Maybe the manager should of handled and refunded my money. Home office ended up refunding and sending me a shipping label to send the shoes back.Cost the company more money because the manager was lazy and didn't try to help a customer that bought an inferior product. Because it didn't sound right. The shoes had a 2 year warranty through Nike.

Worst service I've seen in a long time. I now know why nobody comes here. You wait politely and patiently to be attended but staff continues to have conversation while you are literally looking around waiting for someone to come help. I walked around and came back but it was if I was a ghost. They surely do know how to tell you where the exit is. Shame.

Absolutely out of date store. The shopping carts are 16 years old, some only 3 wheels turning. The restroom was disgusting and filthy with foul smell. Cashier had to call and talk to 4 different people to get a price for a golf polo. The Golf pro had no idea what is split cavity irons!
