I went there looking a quote for some repairs on my boat trailer and don’t think they want business from people of color because of Confederate flag that displayed. As an African-American man, I cannot in good conscience give them my business anyway..

Always knowledgeable, informative, well priced and they do good work. Neat shop that encompasses all political bodies as well as a lot of cool history. Always down for a good conversation. I also appreciate that they don't treat me like an idiot. A lot of shops assume, as a woman, in incapable. The guys here do better.

This place is really amusing. I walked in and they installed a new hitch for me in about an hour, at a reasonable price. The funny part is inside the shop. I really should have taken pictures. The owner collects stuff. He displays it all inside the shop but none of it is for sale. It's kind of crazy. Action figures, baseballs, fishing rods, toys, guitars, old signs, all kinds of silly things are on display, but not for sale . He just goes to pawn shops, garage sales etc and buys stuff. It's worth a visit. Oh, and they did a nice job with my hitch too.

Honest, knowledgeable and customer focused! I wanted to install a receiver hitch and a seven pin wiring harness on our 2016 MB GLC 300, knowing nothing about what that would entail. I called Dale Mabry Hitches and spoke to Jim. He gave me the basic information about the process, along with an estimate. He told me that if I wanted to proceed, I would need to bring the vehicle by so they could inspect it. My wife and I then drove to the shop in order to get this done. When I arrived I was greeted by Jim’s son Steve, who would actually be doing the installation. Steve was amazing! He was straightforward, refreshingly honest and extremely knowledgeable. More importantly, he explained things to me in laymen terms, so I knew exactly what the job would entail. He also took the time to show me, on the vehicle, what components needed to be removed and replaced for the installation. Since our vehicle was older, he was upfront with us about the chance that there could be some damage to parts during the removal process, no matter how careful it was done. I asked Steve what the final install would look like. He showed me in a video, and then on the vehicle. Unfortunately, due to the location of the receiver hitch, the harness would not be able to be mounted outside, next to the receiver, it would have to remain inside the vehicle. Those two drawbacks resulted in me deciding not to proceed with the installation. This family run business has been serving the Tampa area since the 1960’s, and now I know why. This is a business that puts the needs and satisfaction of the customer first, ahead of the dollar, which is unheard of these days. Steve could have easily “sold me” on the installation, and when it was done I would have been disappointed. Instead, he took the time to listen to what my expectations were, and then let me know that what I wanted, was not possible with the vehicle I had. I can’t thank them enough for the positive experience they gave me. However, because of the way I was treated, Dale Mabry Hitches will be the only place I ever use for future hitch needs.

I have used Dale Mabry hitch for two reasonably complicated hitch installs and they both came out perfect. On time and with no problems 1 year + down the road.

They went out of there way to find the one and only hitch that was available for my 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Great service and fast install. This is my 2nd hitch installed and would highly recommend them before anyone else.

Almost glad Uhaul treated me so badly, because I would never have found Dale Mabry Hitches. Within days of my phone call, they installed my hitch and saved me lots of money over their competitor, and with a better quality hitch. Friendly, professional, thorough, and fast is how I would describe them. A very interesting office to wait in was just icing on the cake. They also recommended nearby places to eat in case I didn't get breakfast the morning of my install. I will be recommending to family, friends, and anyone else who will listen. This is the place to go for a trailer hitch and/or a bicycle rack for your vehicle! They are a shining example of how a business should treat their customers!

My goal was to purchase and have installed a trailer hitch, so I could attach a bicycle rack. I had first tried U-Haul, which was a disaster. One hand didn't know what the other was doing--repeatedly (long story)--so thankfully I then discovered this place. I believe this is a family run business, and it shows. Friendliness, fairness, and efficiency were evident. It seemed they truly appreciate their customers as people. At Dale Mabry Hitches, the price for the hitch with installation was about $100 LESS than another place in St. Petersburg. As an aside, Dale Mabry Hitches has a room full of memorabilia which is fun to explore while waiting for hitch installation. Lots of cool stuff (I don't think any of it is for sale). Overall, I am completely satisfied with Dale Mabry Hitches and highly recommend them.

I searched for a place to install a hitch on our 2017 Honda CRV. After researching I found this shop. I called and spoke to Jim who was very helpful. He quoted me a price and I agreed. I told him I was driving from Valrico. He took the time to make sure everything was in stock b4 I left. I arrived at 2pm and was driving away at 3:20. Looks great and will be putting the bike rack on this weekend! Thx Jim and other 2 guys at the shop for getting me in and out in same day let alone 1.5 hrs!!!!

The coolest thing about this place is all of the wall and ceiling hangers.If you have to ask what that is, you have not been inside.
