So initially I had a 5 star rating. I have been working out since I was 12 (46 now) and I do really like the gym and staff. I am changing my rating because twice now (my daughters membership) I was NOT told about the contract on membership. I let the first on slide (year membership on lowest level membership) however it happened again when my price increased from 13$ to 20$/month. This second tme I was told this was really the monthly (no contract) rate. For personal reasons (stuff happens) I had to cancel. Again I was told there was a 3 month min contract and had to pay yearly dues and for another 2 months. This is just a warning ⚠️ for anyone who goes in for a "month to month" contract.

After 3.5 years, we were forced to leave Crunch. My membership includes a guest, but they denied my guest their entrance due to them not having a physical ID. Needless to say, BOTH, my wife and I canceled our memberships and we are NEVER going back. Great job to the "friendly staff" at Crunch - Carrollwood.

Feels misleading to me. I used this gym once and won’t be returning.
My brother and I signed up for a free day pass, but when we arrived, "Manager Kyle" told us my 17-year-old brother couldn't participate. He offered to sign him up for a month free on them for a dollar, and could cancel before payment is due. which we agreed to since we were already there but makes no sense that my brother wasn't eligible for the pass when they sent him a confirmation to use the pass today. *Update their policy states even if they are underage they are eligible to participate with a guardian or waiver signed by a guardian. The manager did not provide that option nor did he provide further information through the signing up process just only asked for our IDs.
When we returned weeks later to cancel (since they claim that they don’t allow phone cancellations), we were assisted by an employee named Jackson who informed us we couldn’t cancel for 90 days and needed to speak to the "Manager," who signed us up and he is out of town. Jackson advised us that the “Manager” should’ve explained further and he apologized on his behalf. I was shocked that this employee was more thorough and helpful than the own manager!
After trying different gyms in the area , I’ll be for sure avoiding this one.

This company has zero integrity. Do not hire their trainers! I've been with Crunch most of the last 8 years and I may have to leave them again...
In March, I hired the branch manager as a personal trainer because I really liked our intro session. I signed up for 12 sessions, and two days later he relocated to another store. I didn't want to work with anyone else because I already had issues with past trainers not showing up for sessions. I only wanted to work with him.
When I went into the branch however, they refused to cancel my plan that I hadn't even started and said I was committed to 12 sessions with a Crunch coach, not the coach I hired.
BS, but I kept up my part. My trainer however, stopped showing up for our sessions, 4 sessions in. Multiple reschedules later and days of me showing up at 630am to no coach, we got two more sessions done. Then total ghost. No responses to text, no communication. Then I get an advertisement text from him telling me to come back to Crunch, and sign up for more coaching.
That was the last straw for me. I went in a month ago, talked to the trainer's manager, and politely insisted on a refund. I showed screenshots of the communication with my "trainer" and proved that he failed to do his job. She said she would talk to management about getting me a refund for the six sessions I never used...
A month later, still nothing. This company is a joke. They don't care about their commitments or their customers. They just want to keep pushing sales and avoiding fulfilling them like professionals. I have lost all respect for anyone that works at this company.

I met Kyle, the manager, a few years ago at Crunch, and he even supported one of our events at WTR. I was impressed to see him networking outside of work, which showed his dedication and leadership as the face of his Crunch location. Kyle has always been kind and helpful to me and my family, and when he was transferred, the atmosphere and management noticeably declined. During our visits, the new manager was often rude and seemed unhappy in her role. We're thrilled to see Kyle back at this location, as his presence makes a huge difference.

Crunch fitness is misleading people about their membership being “no commitment” and “month to month.”
Do not recommend at all. I don’t like or support companies who mislead or trick consumers for their bottom line.
The gym itself isn’t great, and isn’t awful. There is better in the area (EOS and LA fitness).

Awful service tried to make me buy a membership when I was entering as a guest, refused to allow me entry without an id when I’ve been let in without an id at this specific location before and if that’s their policy I’d expect them to withhold it 100% of the time. Chris was who I spoke with and I must say, crunch be more selective with your employees if you’d like to upkeep a professional front!!!

Chris at Carrolwood location is the rudest employee I’ve experienced any and all crunch locations. Wouldn’t allow me to use my own membership, shouldn’t be working there.

When I first joined this gym I liked it, but now it's always full and you always have to wait to use the machines. The women's bathroom is almost always dirty so I avoid using it because it's really dirty. The music is always at the loudest volume. It's become a really boring gym.
