I have been there several times and I finally taking the time to voice my disappointment with the nonchalant, do not care attitude of the cashiers. The store is ok but I do no enjoy going there anymore. The person at the sushi counter however is more than helpful.

Not the best grocery store for full on shopping. most of the selections are junk food and processed food. The produce is OK nothing fabulous. This is a good place to go if you need storebrand, snacks, and soda for a party or for convenience. don't expect any customer service. It's more like a large convenience store that doesn't have small sized items.

Not sure what's going on with this store. It use to be a great store, but within the past year, the store has really gone down hill. There does not seem to be much on-hands management type of approach to this store. Cashier's are rude when talking to customers or either on their phone while checking you out. They make people stand in line forever, before opening up any other registers to assist in the backlog. I've been trying to call them all day to place a catering order and they answer the phone and they hang up. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD MANAGEMENT!

I went to the Winn Dixie on Swann in Tampa, FL on 07/26/22 tonight and was going to buy groceries for my family my daughter is autistic and likes to eat a turkey lunchable while I shop and it keeps her calm and I purchase it when I check out tonight my daughter ate one that was molded and opened another one and was about to eat it and I noticed it completely covered in mood and black the package was not expired at all two out of the four I got had mold on them i went to the customer care booth where no one was to be found and then I see Janae walking I ask if she works there she ignored me then I asked again and she said I'm coming, I explained what happened she offered no apology and just had an annoyed look on her face as I'm explaining a scary situation for me because my nonverbal daughter just ate a moldy lunchable from their store she doesn't say anything gets another person to say she is getting you a gift card gives me a $10 gift card and I ask for another manager because that is unacceptable behavior and follow up to the situation at hand the store manager apologized for her behavior and said there was nothing else they can do so I will take my experience to every social media platform so no one else will have to experience this situation

I went here and used two coupons. Both were attached to the products, I didn't bring them in, the store stocked them that way. I asked the cashier if they were scanned. She rudely yelled yes. When I got home they were not. Couldn't get a manager on the phone, couldn't get corporate to respond. Just never going here again.

I went in for a pack of gum and I went out with a whole new perspective on existence. Winn Dixie and I are BFFs, I am a proud loyalty member. I don't need the bells and whistles but this store has the bells and whistles. It is more Disney World, less grocery store. And even though I love my Winn Dixie as stripped and simple as it usually is this was a whole lot of fun. For anyone that would argue Publix is worth the price because ~experience~ I would point them in the direction of this magical store.

Butcher. Ordered 3 prime filets. Apparently, the butcher doesn't cut the gristle anymore. What a joke. I don't want to be the butcher that's why I went to a store.

Ordered 'fresh' made sandwich from the deli. Took one bite and knew the ham was spoiled. Went back to the store to inform them. The woman behind the deli counter acted like it was not possible that ham was bad and didn't seem that concerned about it. I spoke to the store manager and he also didn't seem concerned and didn't even go to deli to check out the ham. Gross.

Wow! Why haven't I known about this location/store?!This blows all of the other chains out of Tampa Bay. Very clean, well stocked, fantastic selections, friendly staff, wider isles, little to no wait checking out, ...It was much less stressful not dealing with the other large chain crowds and NO ONE WAY DOWN THE ISLES!!! Prices are comparable. I can't say enough about the Winn Dixie at Hyde Park (South Tampa).

Pleasantly surprised with this Winn Dixie grocery store! I stopped in to grab some water and ended up leaving with a few groceries too! The store is spotless, fully stocked, and friendly customer service. The reason for four stars is because the state of the men's bathroom. It wasn't atrocious, but could definitely use some attention. Parking was fine and had no issues. Their prices were better than Publix, surprisingly. I'll definitely return in the future!

KOSHER KOSHER KOSHER. This is an in depth review for all those that keep strict Glatt Kosher and kashrut to the highest standard. I will post images of almost every detail in the below so you can see for yourself. This specific Winn Dixie location has the largest assortment of kosher products in the Tampa/St. Pete area (the next closest as far as I know is Orlando which is quite far). Also a HUGE plus (I'm not sure if this all Winn Dixies or just this location) but every single item in the store that has some sort of kosher certification (may it be OU, Star K or any other) has a BIG Blue Logo under the price label on the shelf that says KOSHER. Similarly they have a different color for Gluten Free or Vegan items, but if looking for kosher it makes shopping a breeze as you can just look at the price tag on the shelf and if it's blue then it's certified Kosher! (Of course check with your own rabbi as to which certifications/hashgachot you follow but it does make the job a lot easier!) The breakdown: They have a general freezer section that's 3 doors wide with basic frozen stuff. Pizza bagels, frozen pizza, tabachnik soups, blintzes, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, potato knishes, and Morning Star brand Veggie items (burgers, chicken nuggets etc). Now to what makes this particular location special: they have a 12-16 foot fridge dedicated to all kosher meats and cheeses. One whole side is MEAT packaged meat like cold cuts (turkey, pastrami, corned beef), sausages, hot dogs, salami, kishka. The other side is DAIRY, full of cheeses, shredded, bricks, many are chalav Yisrael, muenster, mozzarella, cheddar , havarti, string cheese, very extensive. Now on the end cap of this long fridge is a 4 foot wide section on either side, again one Dairy and one Meat. The dairy one has fresh cholov Yisrael milk (fresh meaning not frozen), yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese, lebnah, Greek yogurt. Now this is where is gets interesting: the meat 4 foot section gets "weekly" deliveries of fresh meat and poultry (the first time I went it was pretty empty but returned a few days later and there was a nice selection). Fresh whole chickens, chicken quarters, thighs, Turkey pieces. In actual meat they had steaks, beef shoulder, corned beef deckel, cubed angus beef, beef bones, tip of rib roast, minute steaks. In the dry goods section, they have a 12-16 foot section of traditional Jewish foods like gefen grape juice, matza, matza ball mix, gefilte fish, duck sauce and other types of "Jewish" condiments. I have added many pictures of the above so you can see for yourself. The rabbi that oversaw this addition to the store is the local Chabad Rabbi Rivkin (there's a father and son with one of the Shuls [Chabad of Central Florida/Bais David Chabad] being directly across the street from this location, 2001 W Swann Ave)

Their policy for the last two months and counting is that they cannot accept any exchanges or returns because of coronavirus. OK makes sense from a standpoint of exchanging but you should not have to escalate to a manager to get a refund for spoiled food that was sold that way. In general, their staff doesn't care or they have not been trained to deliver excellent customer service. Also their online information indicates the Hyde Park store closes at 10 PM. They have not updated their actual hours and the store actually closes at 8 pm.

Went in to grab ice cream for myself as a treat one night. I grabbed halo top from their halo top freezer case. Brought it home and after eating half of the pint, realized that it was 6 months expired. I don't understand how no one has caught this after 6 months. It should have been taken off the shelf a long time ago. Please do yourself a favor and refrain from buying ice cream at Winn Dixie and always check the expiration dates. It stinks that I can no longer trust just grabbing something off the shelf here anymore.

I have shopped at Winn-Dixie for many years. Most of those were in Seffner, and Temple Terrace. I have been going to the newly redesigned one on Swann Ave in Tampa for about a year and a half. It's a nice looking store with a very nice and friendly staff. I am a coupon user. I went in there and did my weekly order which totaled $130. However three of my coupons they would not honor because they were printed at home. These were manufacturers coupons with the security things printed on them. I was told the manager will not allow them to be redeemed because they could be easily altered. I said this is not true as they have security built into them to prevent that. Still I was refused. Because of that $2.25 Winn-Dixie will lose that $130 or so a week from me. I will now do my weekly shopping at Wal-Mart where they do accept those coupons. I will only use Winn-Dixie if I need something to fill in during the week. I contacted the main office, and they never bothered to get back to me. I hope in the future they change that rule.

I love this Winn Dixie, I drive all the way from Seminole heights just to go to this store. It's unlike the other Winn Dixie's you have ever been too! Tons of organic produce, from fresh to frozen selections, gluten free items by the Isles! vitamins, fresh juices, kombucha, vegan, flower shop, bakery, liquor store, AGED IN HOUSE STEAKS! A pizza bar, sushi bar, smoked meats, coffee shop, I mean I love this store! Always bogo prices on meat and buy one get one free ribs or boneless country spare ribs. Great arrangement of fresh cut meats, and cheeses, and you can grab some good in house made grab and gos. Highly recommend! My boyfriend even joins me when we come here and he usually despises grocery shopping. Always friendly service and smiling customers.
