I purchased a 2021 GMC 1500 in March of this year. It has been at the dealership for repairs 3 times. It's basically been at the dealership for repair every other months since I bought it. First time was a nitrogen oxide converter replacement, the second time was a DEF injector replacement. Both of those were covered under the warranty. Now the truck is at the dealership once again with estimates of $3500 to rebuild the transmission or $6500 for a new transmission. I called and chatted with two people who both basically said I'm sorry to hear that but it's not our problem. This is absolutely the worst experience in buying a car that I have ever had. I guess I'm suppose to fell better because they "understand how I feel' Do yourself a favor and go to a dealership that actually backs what they sell.
UPDATE: Talked to the local GMC dealer and told them what happened. They made some calls and fixed the truck under the GMC certified pre-owned warranty for free. TL:DR Take a look at your local dealership first.

I shopped all the places that buy cars and Carvana offered the best price by far. Everything was done easily online and turning in the car only took about 15 minutes with no hassles in exchange for a check. It was like hitting the EASY BUTTON.

Very pleased with selling our SUV to Carvana. We received a great price from them and other companies told us that they couldn’t match that quote. I was a little leary about going there thinking they may lower their offer but we were in and out in 10 minutes and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I would definitely recommend!!!

I tried to buy a car with Carvana a few weeks ago. I was really excited that I was gonna be able to buy the car that I wanted. I had the down payment. I can afford the monthly the day required, but then was devastated finding out that because I didn’t pay taxes I couldn’t buy car through them. I was approved but when I was asked to send in pay documents such as benefication letters and bank statements I did. Unfortunately since I’m disabled through the military and don’t file taxes they told me that they couldn’t approve me anymore and finance the car which is the craziest thing I ever heard. So because I’m a disabled veteran and don’t pay taxes, I can’t buy a car through Carvana? If you’re a disabled veteran and you don’t pay taxes, don’t waste your time on Carvana because they have made it clear To me several times that there is no exceptions. So I guess disabled veterans aren’t good enough for Carvana.

First and last time I buy a car before actually seeing it. The car had way more dings than mentioned. they forgot to mention the rust on the hood lip & the amount of rust on the under side of the car, along with the windshield rubber falling apart due to dry rot, shock mounts rusting, foot pedals rusting.. the list goes on and on.
I found all this and more in just 5 mins of looking at the car...
Finally... the car was dirty, should I not think you would of had it detailed before you hand it over the customer for the money you're charging?
Needless to say I declined to accept the car..
The non refundable transport charge they force on you would have been fine.. IF YOU HAD DESCRIBED THE CAR CORRECTLY!! the fact you didn't.. basically means you're extorting money under false pretenses.
You were able to take my cash from my bank immediately.. but cant return it for 7 to 10 days.. (Big corp should be made to stop this practice)
I for one will never use this system again... It's not a good way to buy a used car.. Period!!

Where to start here? Okay, one thing at a time:
1) When buying from Carvana, do not take for granted that whatever they show on the "Imperfections" for a vehicle that those are the only issues. My car had rusting doors that somehow went unnoticed during their inspection. I paid cash in full for the vehicle and opted for "CarvanaCare+" for an additional almost $2K. SilverRock denied my request for the rust to be repaired after purchase, claiming it was merely cosmetic. Rust eats through metal; that's like saying termites are a "cosmetic" issue in a home.
2) They force you to purchase new tags for your car. I already had tags and just needed to transfer them, but they just lump entirely new plates into their pile of fees.
3) The thing that you drop the coin into to activate the "vending machine" was gross. All crusted on the inside and just nasty looking. I know this one is a bit petty but in all their ads they show kids having a Disney-esque experience marveling at the process when they put the coin in; clean the thing once in awhile.
4) This one is still making me laugh. I picked up my car from this location. It was not delivered. The guy who had me sign on the dotted line and gave me the keys was a bit awkward. I'm not going to name-drop because maybe the guy was new or something, I already brought it up with corporate. Anyways, the guy hands me the keys, I'm about to get in the purchased car and drive off, and he says to me, dead serious: "Would you like to leave me a cash tip?" The salesman asked me for a tip. After I bought a vehicle, cash, in full. This must be that Carvana experience I've heard so much about! Most bizarre thing I've ever seen. It could've made for a strange but chuckle-worthy joke if he said he was just kidding, but nope. Dude expected a tip for handing me the keys to my car. W T F.
So anyways tl;dr don't buy from Carvana, this place stinks. I returned the car and I'm buying from a dealer.
Bonus Edit 8/16: Still waiting on my refund 9 days later. Whatever "convenience" Carvana claims to offer is completely lost when they are so slow and inefficient with such a simple ask.

I had a truck reserved, privately financed, and privately insured ahead of time as per the request of Carvana. Day of the pick-up they cancelled my pick-up appointment, when I reached out I was told that I failed to upload all the documentation that they asked for. When I told them I had in-fact uploaded everything, and confirmed with my bank that the money had already been sent to them; they still refused to honor my appointment or try to get me set-up in the truck I was lined up to purchase. I ended up going to Conley Buick and left with my dream truck at an affordable price instead.
TLDR: Carvana sucks, support a local dealership instead.

I was sold an uninspected and dangerously damaged vehicle, told I would have to pay for my own 200+ dollar tow, and that the onsite manager does not speak with customers in these situations. Less than five miles from the dealership, the car lurched and made horrible grinding sounds. Half of the engine cover was hanging loose, dragging on the road, a solid piece of sheet metal that I was fortunate not to catch on something tall. Customer service made no effort to provide roadside assistance other than another company's phone number. We decided just to return the car with our own tow and shop somewhere safer.
*UPDATE* - 3 weeks later and they still have not fully processed a refund, and are unwilling to draft a return letter to our credit union so that we can get a new loan. It should worry you that Carvana won't let you call specific locations. Customer Service is a joke, and act as though no one has ever returned a car with non-carvana financing.

I loved reducing the time to purchase. The process was so hassle free. It was so fun to see your vehicle dispensed that I think all should have a similar process!
