I've been going to Buttercup for almost three years now and going to my first class here was one of the best decisions i have ever made. Everyone is so kind and encouraging and the teachers are even more so.

Buttercup was my second home after my divorce. Christina, Krystal, Sarah, Whiskey, and Kaku are all so knowledgeable. Everyone is so kind and will encourage you but only to know where they know you can do something but maybe your brain is telling you that you can't. I felt like they were family and I look fondly on my time at Buttercup. I wish there was one closer to me so I could keep growing with my fellow nutter butters

Superrr Fun!!We had a Bachelorette Party here, and it was a great time! Sarah was super nice & Girl Got Moves! The studio is located in the back of the gym in a secluded area, so you get some eye candy on the way lol.The girls had a fun time wearing they're sexy heels * or not* and learning a cute little dance routine. We had champagne provided for our party and lots of laughs & photos. I highly recommend for some fun OR exercise because it will DEFINITELY work you out lol.

Went here for the first time with my friend and they have two rooms but yet had us sharing a pole. Not only is that unsanitary and awkward, but you’re paying full price to get half the time on the pole. We also only got 30 seconds each to practice on our own which is definitely not enough time nor worth the money. We brought up the concern to the instructor and her response was “it’s just our policy”. Policies should be written and explained in advance prior to someone booking and spending their money. I also don’t feel like there was any empathy on her end towards our concerns especially with that being out first time going there. UPDATE/REPLY : Once again there seems to be a lack of empathy as you’re over explaining things and not truly understanding where we’re coming from. You do not have to explain the dynamics of a pole class to me. This was not our first pole class, we have been to multiple studios and this has never been an issue. Yes there are alcohol and rags provided, however, no one wants to keep stopping every 5 seconds to clean the pole. Every now and then when the pole gets slippery or during a break is understandable, but you obviously have to do it much more when sharing a pole. Again, the issue at hand isn’t just the fact that we had to share, it’s the fact that the instructors response was that it was your policy, but your “policy” was not listed to us PRIOR to booking and spending our money and driving 30+ mins across town to get there. Also we didn’t mention this in the review, but she told us she would have you reach out to us. It’s two days later and we still hadn’t heard from you, if you were concerned about receiving bad reviews maybe you would’ve reached out about our concerns earlier. Anyway thank you for now getting back to us after we had to leave a review and returning my money as I don’t feel like it was worth it at all.

This place is ridiculous, me and my friend booked a dance class for the hour, this place overbooks and makes you share a pole, so me and the partner I shared the same pole and each had less than 20 minutes on the pole and 30 seconds each of free time on the pole. I wouldn’t have booked this place if I knew you force everyone to share a pole. I stated my issues with the instructor and she didn’t care and was actually very rude, so I figured I’d warn everyone else!

I rent out space here so I can train on my trapeze. The owner, Sarah, is really awesome! From watching the classes while I’m training, I can tell Sarah is a patient and excellent teacher. Buttercup has become a second circus home of sorts, and I’d really recommend it! Everyone here is very nice and, though it can be intimidating for me to go to a new place, I felt welcomed right away.

I absolutely adore this place! Best teachers on the planet, great at teaching safety and will make you do tricks you may have thought was impossible for you to do.

I love this studio so much. Not only are the classes priced very reasonably, especially if you buy packages/a membership, but literally all of the staff here are so helpful and considerate. I've never had a bad class and I've taken pole tricks, pole choreo, flexibility, lyra, silks, and aerial sling. Sarah (the owner of the studio) is incredibly genuine, she's a real light. Also very down to earth even though she can do amazing things on the pole :) Kaku is also awesome, she usually teaches Level 3 pole, and she knows how to push you enough to get the most progress without things going over into burnout/dangerous territory. Love her for that. Also shoutout to Audrey who teaches silks and K. Berg who teaches Lyra. I've seen tremendous progress on all apparatus after coming here for only 6 months. On pole I went from being unable to do an extended butterfly to now working on my Ayesha. In silks I was able to get my windmill drop after 5 YEARS of failing to at other studios with Audrey's help. I can't thank Buttercup enough, and I can't recommend it higher.

This is my favorite place ever for a workout and some me time! I have been a student for years and never regret coming to class. This is the best thing you can do for yourself. Challenge your body and feel sexy while doing it! Sarah and all of her instructors are awesome! ?

If you're looking for a safe space to feel good in, this is it.I walked through these doors for the first time a beginner with big anxiety, feeling so small. Getting myself to come here for my first class turned out to be the biggest challenge I would faced because as soon as I was here, I felt seen and supported by not just the instructors, but the other students as well. This space is full of beautiful people. I've been taking class regularly for a year now and I'm transformed in both body and spirit. With such a vast offering of classes - all lead by welcoming, passionate, skilled instructors - you're sure to find growth here. Buttercup is a staple of the pole community in Tampa. Whether you're starting from scratch or you've been poling for a decade, you will enjoy taking class here.
