Don’t even deserve 1 star. Had hurricane double entry doors with multipoint lock installed in March 2023, the hinges weren’t lined up and after 3 additional new installs over the last year now in March 2024 we have a door that we can not lock with the key?! Customer service doesn’t seem to care or have any urgency that we can’t use our front entry door. Our latest door replacement in garage is not a BHI door.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Purchased 8 foot double doors with glass paid over $5000 they came warped on top had an air pocket on top as well. During hurricane Ian in North port both my doors blew open on a brand new custom build. It took weeks to get someone to access it. I was patient due to the overwhelming demand of issues for many people. Finally when Matt the area manager came by it was very visual what the problem was, but he wanted to bring in the level so he did and we clearly agreed that the doors are not level. He agreed to replace my doors but it would arrive with no glass panel inside just the frame. I didn’t agree for I purchased very expensive doors with the glass panel included, also the lock bolt was broken and the hinges needed to be replaced all is under warranty and was promised to be replaced. I even agreed to keep my glass panel as long as he had an installer instal it for me exactly the way I purchased them. Matt even assured me it was all in stock and fortunately for me no need to wait. Well then he never came back so I was persistent and finally he gave me Ken management of sales dept worthless person. He came by himself tried to offer my husband $100 thinking he’s a tradesman asked him just to fix it and call it a day, my husband was shocked and declined. Ken and I exchanged numerous text messages and many excuses given for months every week I was told he’s coming never came just worthless. I have all the texts from Oct from these two incompetent beings ended up calling head office to speak to the manager Will Godwin. I send all text correspondence we had from 4 months ago called office many times and they all keep covering up for each other probably waiting for me to go away or warranty to run out!Very stressful situation considering hurricane season will be around the corner I can’t image how that experience would have been if my family and I were in our home when the doors blew in on our brand new beautiful home. We purchased these doorsin confidence that they would keep us safe but clearly they are of poor quality and defective in order for something like this would happen. My neighbors with a basic front entry home door had no problems. So I would just like to tell you all buyers BEWARE of these BHI doors they are horrible and the customer service is even worse!!!Sanja B

One of my customers I've done Warehouse racking systems for for years they make doors for homes mainly and now that we've had a hurricane come through they're going to be very busy in the Fort Myers area for sure

4 years ago a company named Solar Shield Windows installed a Builders Hardware Inc. door. Water pours in through this door!! I need to have it replaced! If I could rate it 0 stars I would have!!

I have worked with Jim D. in the office for a few years now and he always does his best to get my product to get jobs squared away top notch service and David at will call always greets me with a smile on his face and gets me on my way in a hurry absolutely no complaints here hands down the best door supplier in Tampa..
