Terrible bank. Transferred 25K for a CD one year ago. Tried to call them 3 times. Their computer said it would be 45 to 49 minute wait each call. Sent e-mail. I just wanted the money sent back to my savings at CD maturity. They told me I could not do this until after the maturity date. I'v never heard of this before. When the CD matured they reinvested it at 0.05%. Their rate at the time was over 5.5% but they only gave me 0.05%. That is nothing less than theft! When I called them the 4th time they said they would not transfer the money back to my savings account because that was not secure. It was secure when they took my money!!! And they wanted me to make a 2 hour round trip to the downtown Tampa bank to get my money. We finally agreed for them to send me a bank check through the US mail. Apparently a 26K check is more secure in the mail than a transfer?? I learned my lesson and you can learn from my mistake. bmo has bad reviews for a reason.

This is the worst bank I ever worked with ! The customer service gave me tons of trouble to do the ID declaration and notary just to make sure I am the person to pay my own car payment! Hang up on me many times! Never ever do business with BMO !

Stay away from this bank. They're unorganized an hour and a 1/2. Wait for customer service. Overcharging your account, not notifying you of late charges until you have multiple charges just because your payment was one month late. The Collections department called me, and even though my payment was correct. They still charged me 2 months late charges, but I could not get ahold of customer care to talk to them nor go to the branch office. No one answered the phone. I have 3 credit cards. This is absolutely the worst one. I have never again stayed away from this bank.

Never have I come across such a difficult online access. I set up online profile correctly, they require a code sent to my phone to verify it is me with a message telling me to hold on because it would take upto 5 minutes to send the code. How efficient can that be in this day and age. So 5 minutes I waited, than 8 minutes , 20 minutes.....no code was ever received. I called customer service and she gave me a temp pw. With the temp pw I reset a new pw. Then their system said another code was sent to my phone. There was another "5 minutes" wait, then no code ever came. Then the whole process of nightmare began allover. Well, if you think your time worth nothing, go bank with them.

Worst bank ever, call one day customer service to fix a problem on my credit card and this person that attended my call got me in trouble by blocking my accounts saying that I didn't provided her with my right information, seriously! So after that they never gave information again on my own accounts until I submitted them a notarized forms that they requested, worst of the worst banks!!!!

If I could give less than one star, I would. I typically adhere to a three-strikes rule for dealing with businesses. This bank has the most convoluted banking processes and has a tendency to create roadblocks at every turn, impeding the average person from ever generating more business with them..My advice is to stay away from this bank. Run, run far, run fast and go somewhere else. Go anywhere else.

The wait times on the phone to speak to someone are ridiculous. I can’t wait on the phone all day, you guys need to get it together and treat the people who bank with you with respect.

I have been banking with BMO for over 20 years and have continuously received excellent service. I wish there was a branch closer to my home but I am able to use on line banking and the staff at the Tampa branch has gone above and beyond to assist me.

Att: David R. Casperi , CEO BMO Harris ....I don't like my issue with BMO HARRIS go to Social Media but I don't have any other option to recover my money ....I close my checking account with BMO over the phone 05/27/2022 , and the banker promise me that I will receive my funds within 5 business days , until today I did not receive my money and I have expenses to cover . I called BMO to see if I can solve this issue and spend several hours trying to talk to a banker (they disconnect my call several times ) , finally I spoke with a banker and a manager and they recommend me either drive 3 hours to the nearest branch or wait minimum 30 days to see if I can receive my funds that I need to pay my bills .

I have had nothing but kind and courteous service at BMO. People know me there and the hometown feeling I get is amazing. My banker must know me; after all, I am giving them my money and they are appreciative of my business and my choice to bank with them. A+Btw, is Evan Phillips still working in your branch? I really thought I had checked in here previously. It has been several years since we've had the opportunity to stop as we have not needed to be in a brick and mortar location. And this occasion we had to stop and so we made the long drive to Tampa. I originally started banking with Harris back in Chicago and while I've lived around the country I've continued banking with them. It's very convenient having them in the same state for certain transactions and sometimes I wish they had locations closer to us. This is their main branch here in Florida and much has changed since our last visit. I did remember to park in the parking garage but that has changed as well and when I explained it in the bank they were able to go on the computer to take care of my parking for me as it is free for customers. The building itself can be a little confusing if you don't come here frequently as there are so many businesses and it is a multi-level garage. We did fairly easily find the main entrance to the bank and upon entering I noticed that everything had changed. They no longer have teller windows at this location. You just come in and deal with one of the personal bankers who is available. There was no wait for us when we got there and the gentleman took care of our needs with these. With any bank you can have problems but Harris is always been good about handling them well. I haven't had any issue with them for a very long time and I'm very happy with the service I receive.
