I’ve been coming here for officially a decade, getting my dogs nails done and other grooming needs over the years. Great with seniors, adults, puppies, and cats too! My dogs don’t need haircuts, but the styles I see these dogs walk out with, it makes me wish I had a fluffy dog, myself. The two ladies running the business are impeccable and SO sweet. Walk-ins are welcome, but call the sign on the door if no one comes. My dogs love coming to this small business because it’s not as over-stimulating as petco/petsmart, they’re very attentive about their care, and the pups get treats after! My dogs always come out happy and fresh, and my Italian Greyhound pup most recently came out ready for a run! Afterwards, if it’s not too hot and I can make a suggestion, I like to take them to Hyde Park Village for a nice little stroll around town to break in the new paw-dicure and round out any harsh edges from the clipper/rotary and the dogs don’t feel like we left the comfort of home just for a groom. I also highly recommend the vintage shops next door while you wait if you have to, I’ve found some good stuff there myself, if you’re into that as well. 10/10 amazing groomers.

We've had a pleasant experience bringing both our dogs here for their grooming. We have an English Cocker Spaniel and a Cavapoo. I'm very particular about their haircuts and I've tried several other locations. Barks by the Bay has reasonable pricing and April, the groomer, has been very friendly and consistent. My only complaint is the reservation process. I often have to leave a voicemail and wait for a call back. However, once we get in touch, they usually have plenary of availability. Also, they're only taking cash or check which is an inconvenience for us. We'll keep bringing our dogs here.

I recently took my puppy to get groomed at Barks by the Bay and they did an awesome job! It was the first time for my fourth month old Standard poodle and an he look flawless and very happy!!! They're very flexible, I was able to drop him off early in the morning and pick him up after work. I highly recommend this place.

I have a golden doodle that's all bounce and energy. Granted, she's still a puppy, but at 44 pounds, she can be a bit daunting. Sweet, but takes a tremendous amount of patience. I agree with the other reviewers who have been raving about Barks by the Bay. In my case, I had let my dog's fur get just too long. I didn't realize it, but it had become matted, all over. I expected the tail and a couple of spots on her head, but it was everywhere. They had to cut her down all the way (she looks like a different dog now, but it's so cute!) but did it in a way that makes sense; she's trimmed evenly and looks proportionate. She lost 20 lbs just by getting groomed. :) Right now, Daisy looks more like a retriever than poodle (imagine a retriever with a golden velvet close-crop coat) but she's still her goofy self! I can easily recommend Barks by the Bay. They know the different breeds and how to care for them. They ask questions and are straight-up with you. Your dog is treated well and is welcomed.

I've been taking my pup to Barks for over 10 years! The staff always asks exactly what you want for the grooming appointments. They always do such a fantastic job and She is always happy for her bath! I love the cute bows and matching bandannas. I'm very happy with the awesome service at Barks.

I really like this place! I can swing in unannounced and get my furry girls nails filled anytime. Quick and easy! They are friendly too, which makes a difference.

Took my 65lb Wolfoodle to get him groomed for the first time ever. He is my service dog and I was anxious about the trip. Everyone there was so beautiful and loving to my boy. They calmed him and were so gentle to him and all the cats and dogs that were in the office. They took the time to work with a veteran and service dog team and I, nor he will ever forget the positivity in that office. Thank you so much!
