My mother has went to monye 2 times now for her birthday she wanted a specific style we were confident she would do it long story short she did it wrong and did not offer to fix the style I paid $80 for a style that looked like it was done by someone who ain’t know what they was doing plus a $10 tip I will not be going back the bad thing is my mom is a pastor you just don’t do that they are very ghetto and unprofessional

Cares nothing about the health of the clients hair. No wash, no consult, no treatment. Just a stocking cap, lots of glue and a razor comb. It took a lot for me to write this post because I wanted to be clear about my INTENT. which is, if you care about your hair, your energy and how your money is spent....this is not the place for you. When a woman is seeking a hair care professional, she is in need of a stylist not just a hair do. The energy is off, the customer service is non existent.

Hair care professional she is not. Just another person that can glue a cap on and use a razor comb. Wants you to be on time but cares nothing about you sitting and does not even acknowledge that you're there

I booked a appointment with Monye through a online website. Originally I booked my appointment for a short cut sew in and to book that style a $50.00 deposit was required..... I usually don't mind paying a deposit but that was higher than normal (I usually pay $25.00) with other stylists. So I booked anyways based on the work I seen on her social media profiles. I then decided to change my hair style to a fingerwave quick weave and I just wanted to confirm with the stylist if that would be okay. I was just trying to be considerate of her schedule because as we all know hair takes time and I didn't want to come in and just make a last minute change and throw every ones day off. My appointment was on 6/17/17 and I contacted the stylist initially by texting her using the phone number in her Instagram bio, no response. I then messaged her on Instagram also no response. BUT she posted pictures on Instagram also went live and responded to comments on her pictures.... while I was still being ignored for a simple yes or no question. To get the confirmation including the new salon address which is NOT the one here on google I had to call twice. Fast forward to the day of my appointment and her assistant was very pleasant! But the end result of my hair was a nightmare. I'm 100% natural and there were two big braids put into my hair to go underneath the stocking caps. Which lead to one side of my head being higher than the other when the style is SUPPOSED to lay flat. I understand that everyone isn't skilled in natural hair but if the braids were smaller it would've worked. I felt like my hair was SLOPPY, RUSHED and INCONSISTENT compared to the work I seen her post. I thought she was just a fast worker but after going home and reviewing what I paid for.... it just seemed like a waste of my hard earned money. I got my hair done Saturday 6/17/17 and I took it out the following Tuesday 6/20/17 due to the waves falling and just overall failure of the hairstyle. My stocking cap was also visible on my temples and in the back of my head. I've gotten multiple quickweaves done in the past but while taking this out I found clumps of glue on my edges. Which made my hair experience even less pleasant. Not happy with the service I received at all.
