LJ at Toppers Salon is unequivocally one of the finest stylists in Tallahassee. My hair has been under his expert care for over four years, and the results are consistently exceptional. I receive frequent inquiries about who is responsible for my color and cut. While Toppers Salon may appear modest from the exterior or based on its location, it is undoubtedly a remarkable establishment.

Ever since the 80s I have been very particular about who works with my hair… I’ve had every color in the book. I’ve had every style imaginable, but as an adult one looks to someone who can provide you with not only good service, but also beautiful, natural color and style. LJ has proved to be that person….. for over five years he has done my hair about every six weeks… And never have I wished I had gone somewhere else! Not only is he a fabulous stylist, but he has become one of my very dear friends who I love and trust!! ❤️

I moved to Tallahassee from Calif last year. I was fortunate enough to find LJ which I did through the Tallahassee Community app.
I asked for a good male hairdresser & withing minutes, eight people highly recommended LJ.
All eight recommendations were right on, LJ is indeed amazing!
LJ exceeds in his job skills, & he provides a high level of service to his customers.
LJ is attentive, has great listening skills & he is fun, funny & very courteous!
I love my hairdresser!!

I have been wanting to write a review concerning my/our hairdresser for some time now. I have been seeing LJ for almost 3 years. Prior to him my hairdresser of 16 years moved to Tampa. I was extremely grateful that my daughter started using him and suggested that I also give him a try. I haven’t looked or do I plan on looking for another hairdresser since started going to him. Since my daughter started using him along with myself, we have also encouraged my other daughter, her m-i-l, her sister and daughter, a dear friend and her 2 boys/mama along with her friend that is from California of which is also a hairdresser. She has traveled 2 to visit her and has LJ do her hair as well. If you were to give each one of us a call for a review, you would hear nothing but praises about him. We all LOVE him like he is family. He has either cut, colored, or permed our hair. We all have walked out feeling like a Beauty Queen and a smile on our Face! LJ you are so LOVED and appreciated!!!

Today I got my haircut for the first time from LJ. It was not a professional job. The barber was harsh with the hands to the point that I have a headache now as I am home. It was rushed and there was a lack of attention to the haircut.
Every other experience I have had at this salon has been great and the other barbers are professional.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience with LJ! He has worked wonders in rehabilitating my hair, bringing it back to life with such care and expertise. Not only is LJ incredibly skilled, but he also brings a fantastic sense of humor and warmth to each appointment. LJ is by far the best stylist in town. He has transformed my hair into some great styles for quite some time now. From different shades of brown to different stye cuts. He is great at blowouts! I really cannot say enough wonderful things about him. Plus he has a great personality! Do not wait around though he books up fast. Call and make an appointment!

The only salon I will go to & take my children. I have been receiving hair services from LJ for 5 years now. He always has a way of making me feel beautiful by sitting in his chair. It’s one of my favorite experiences & he never disappoints ❤️

We leave far away from the topper but don't mind driving all our way there—just for LJ. He is the best stylist I have ever had. He has done our hair for several years and is the best! We all do our hair with him, mom, husband, and kids. My kids love him ? I have changed my hair a couple of times, but I added a picture of one of the work he has done.
