The resort staff is always so kind, and accommodating with my very "high maintenance" older dog - she loves boarding here more than anywhere else in town! From reception, to boarding staff, to docs - we love Southwood Animal Hospital all around!

The vet tech and vet were super kind and informative. As new puppy parents, we feel Blue is in good hands. They answered every question we had and eased our anxieties. Thank you for giving us and Blue a great experience!

Nothing but good to say about this facility. All the doctors are excellent. The staff is very helpful. All are knowledgeable about all facets of the business. You ask a question you get an answer the people at the resort very nice. You’re gonna get you understand what you’re not gonna get someone’s not there all night they leave at six or 8 o’clock and they’re there the next morning at six. The dogs are alone, but it’s cleanorganized

I had to move to Tallahassee temporarily for a job and was so thankful to find SAH. I have two cats, and the senior kitty was facing some over grooming issues that had not been solved with my previous vet. The care team at SAH was always professional, prompt, and extremely helpful when it came to navigating my cat's issues. For one, my cats finally got the attention to their dental needs (with tooth extractions for my senior cat) that had been ignored at my previous vet. Highly recommend this clinic!

I am not happy with the service at Southwood Animal Hospital & Pet Resort. My dog stayed at the pet resort for 7 nights and was charged for 8. My dog was also given unauthorized canned dog food. I brought my own Wellness Core dog food since he has sensitive stomach issues. He also smelled when I pick him up and should have received a complimentary bath that was included.

After bringing in my chihuahua puppy for a tick bite, following an appointment at 4:30pm as advised by the office, I experienced a disheartening encounter. The vet briefly examined the tick bite, prescribed flea and tick prevention, and the entire process felt rushed. Despite paying my $120 bill, I later faced persistent calls from the office staff questioning whether I had taken home a whole box of prevention instead of the single dose I was charged for. The accusatory tone and assumption that I had "stolen" the items were off-putting. I had received the boxes, paid accordingly, and now find myself addressing their errors. Despite this frustrating experience, I plan to pay my bill, emphasizing that customer care should outweigh a mere $100 discrepancy. Regrettably, this ordeal has led me to seek alternative veterinary services, and I'll share my story with those in search of a reliable vet.

I reviewed the Animal Hospital and Pet Resort many years ago under my maiden name (when we first brought our dog here), and I wanted to update and reinforce how awesome the vet and resort people are. They have always given our dog the best care. They rock!
