I subleased at Redpoint west Tenn for the summer. It was nice but they overcharged 390 dollars for literally doing nothing. No damages or anything when I left but I was charged 390. I don’t know about actually LIVING there for a year. But subleasing? HELL. NO. Furthermore the person I leased under and I were trying to get into contact with the Redpoint team to dispute the charges, they never replied. So don’t sublease at this place.

Just genuinely a really poor expierence. My room was destroyed upon move in. I did not get any mail for 4 months and missed my W-2 form as a result. They consistently were not helpful regarding any resident issues. I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I thoroughly regret living here. I have lived here for 1 year, and I was charged $232 after I turned in my key for "damages" that are not specified. There was a $70 cleaning fee for the bathroom alone, and $137.50 for "wall damage" that they are claiming ! repainted over. I have never bought paint in my life, never owned paint, and never used paint to paint over anything in this apartment. These were in the apartment when I moved in and they are accusing me of this. I also doubt it costs $70 to clean a bathroom, and I cleaned the bathroom before I moved out. During my time living here, they were constantly losing my packages and maintenance takes forever to come. I do not recommend anyone to live here. The dorms were a better option that this apartment complex.

Move out is terrible. I moved into a unit that had tenants living there for a couple years and they charged me for damages that were already done when I moved in. Charged nothing to the tenants that left prior to my move in. It doesn't even matter if you try to fix it yourself. If its not to their liking you're still gonna get a charge so I wouldn't waste your time or money trying to clean and paint. Just take pictures of everything if you can. Because they don't care who they charge.
Overall living here was okay. Random people are always roaming the grounds late at night which can be a safety concern. But Redpoint does their best to monitor the best they can. After all it is a college town. I think having a gate would alleviate the roaming though.
When you move in make sure you have your sticker. When I Subleased one summer I never got a sticker and then my car got towed and Redpoint never reimbursed me for the tow. Even though I never got the sticker. The manager at the time told me "his team would never make that mistake" Just look out for yourself.
Appliances are kinda old. Our washer and dryer took forever to get a load down. Needs some updating. Considering the price of rent keeps going up. But maintenance does the best they can with what they have.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU RENT AT REDPOINT WEST TENN
I usually try to add something good in my reviews before I talk about the bad but the only good thing I can say about this apartment was its proximity to FSU campus and its proximity to shopping….THATS IT!
My daughter lived in a 2x2 for 2 years. Her specific unit was in constant disrepair. Her first year wasn’t terrible. It was typical maintenance stuff. However at the start of her 2nd year it was something out of a nightmare!! Not only was there SERIOUS mold issues but a roach infestation that was never really resolved. The mold issue was in her roommate’s room and the roommate was moved out during the mold remediation. My daughter was told her room was fine so they wouldn’t move her. She dealt with headaches and illness for the rest of her year. The roaches were apparently coming from the apartment above her. They had to replace the refrigerator due to a nest that just appeared somewhere around the fridge. Management promised to have pest control come in monthly and they maybe came in one time. My daughter was constantly cleaning and killing roaches. It was hard to even keep food in the apartment. My daughter moved out in May (Thank the Lord) and by June the roommate was AGAIN being moved to a different unit due to the roaches. Management did nothing for my daughter!!
I complained that there were what seemed to be mold in my daughter’s bathroom and rotten trim around the tub but they will probably slap some paint on it and move in the next unsuspecting college student. Management at Redpoint or at Scion Group…they don’t care! They don’t return calls. They just want your money! Don’t rent here!! Try not to rent from Scion Group!

TAKE DETAILED PICTURES/VIDEOS WHEN YOU MOVE IN!! My biggest advice is to make sure to take detailed pictures/videos when you first move in because they will charge you for damage that you might not have caused. There are also no cameras in the parking lots, and multiple people I know had their cars damaged and there was nothing they could really do. Aside from that, I have lived here for two years and it was an overall great experience. The location is convenient if you go to FSU/TCC/FAMU and the surrounding area is much more quiet compared to collegetown. The maintenance staff is very accommodating and always fixed any issues we had either that day or the next. Overall, great college apartment for students living on their own for the first time, but make sure to protect yourself and document everything!

Absolutely worse place ever. They charge you for random stuff that they aren’t clear about, they don’t care if you live with people that break the lease and live like a brothel frat house. Doesn’t care about the living conditions of tenants or wellbeing. DONT LIVE HERE

Redpoint was a good place to live overall. Just be ready to deal with all their move out charges. Like others have said they are money hungry. They charged me $88 for "partial bedroom repaint". Mind you I had no more than 4-6 marks on my bedroom wall. They were paint chips no bigger than a quarter.

WARNING THINK TWICE ABOUT SIGNING HERE!! DO NOT LIVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LIVE WITH TERMITES. I am so saddened to have to leave this review because I genuinely enjoyed renting at Redpoint at first. My roommate and I thought this place was perfect at first and out of nowhere everything changed overnight. I came back to a termite infestation inside my apartment on Sunday and have been back and forth with management for almost a week and this problem has yet to be solved. There’s termites in my bathtub, in my bed, on my clothes and Redpoint continues to neglect their residents. They came and put foam in my bathtub hoping it would fix the problem but I still continue to see them. I understand that it’s termite season but from what I know, other complexes in Tallahassee are not facing this issue because they have instilled proper precautions to ensure this wouldn’t be an issue for their residents. I have been told multiple times this week by Redpoint leasing office that they are going to send someone for termites and they never do. I have been put on a termite list since Monday and was told again that someone would visit my apartment today and they never came. Unless you get your parents to call super angry and threaten them, they refuse to address the situation. They offered to move my roommate and I into separate buildings but this was not a good enough solution as the entire property is infested. To the point that the leasing office employees who live on the property are also having termites in their apartment. I can hear them crawling through the wall and have bites on my legs from sleeping in a bed with them. I haven’t been able to shower until someone put the foam down my drain yesterday and these honestly aren’t issues a resident should have to face and continue to pay rent for. Unless they tent the property or something, I don’t see this situation improving and would strongly advise against moving here for that reason. I have attached photos and videos below so you can all see this for yourselves and reconsider living here if you haven’t already.

Daughter moved in this week. I was pretty disappointed the rooms hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. Especially because I called to ask what kind of cleaning & maintenance they were doing prior to move in. I was told all carpets were getting professionally shampooed & a cleaning crew was on site cleaning as we spoke. My suggestion would be for the front desk agents to be upfront about the fact they don’t clean & just simply let parents & kids know they don’t do anything accept fix maintenance issues. If they had told me that I would have been more prepared for what to expect on move in day. I definitely would have brought more cleaning supplies!!!! My daughter & I had to scrub everything. Blinds, baseboards, tubs, light fixtures, pretty much everything in her room had dust caked on it. Even the door itself. We had to sand the dust off of the baseboards because a scrubber brush wasn’t even strong enough to remove it all?♀️When we started scrubbing the spots on the carpet w/carpet stain remover…most of them came out. So obviously the carpets had not been cleaned at all, or not cleaned properly. My other advise would be for the front desk agents to make people aware that if you are moving in to an apartment & there are already individuals living in the space, the cleaning people DO NOT clean the common areas before move in. My daughter deserved to have moved in to a clean home. It’s not her responsibility to scrub the food of the side of the sink or the fronts of the cabinets. Before move in day, there needs to be some sort of system where current residents need to be required to clean their common area space or they have to pay for the cleaning crew to do it.I spoke to a few other people also moving in who said their rooms & common area were also left very dirty & they had to clean for hours prior to being able to move in. This just isn’t right.Thankfully my daughter had me helping her, but we were not prepared for the 4 hours of cleaning that we each put in.I am giving 4 stars because the staff I have spoke w/over the summer, as well as on move in week, were always very helpful & pleasant. They genuinely seem like they want to help. My daughter received an Amazon package & they notified her immediately when it arrived. I’m hoping for good things this year from Red Point Weat Tenn

Moved from the other redpoint and they both have the same exact problems. The potential for both these places to be nice is high but they dont fix gym equipment. Let whoever they want be obnoxious at their facilities, and are weird about it. Lastly, are abhorrent with move out charges and very clearly money hungry which is upsetting because I heard the opposite when I moved in.

DO NOT RENT HERE! The final move out fees are unfounded and they refuse to supply evidence that they are valid. The maintenance at best is poor, unskilled, and rude. It is not worth it. Again, DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!

Do not live here, I lived here for 3 years and management got worse every year. The people at the office don’t know or care to know what they’re doing and that’s fine but when you have to deal with them every time you want a package it’s very annoying. They hit me and my roommates with random charges all the time throughout the year and when we moved out just to get more money out of us. A lot of residents here have MOLD problems. Every toilet has mold in it no matter what you do to clean it. (Which they charged me for when I moved out) My room had a time when I was out of town and away from my room where the AC drain clogged and started leaking into the nearby walls. My room was on the other side of the drain with my closet directly attached to the ac unit. The leakage spread to my closet and destroyed all my clothes which made me have to throw away all of my clothes because they were filled with mold. When I tried to complain about this, the manager here made it his goal to shut me up by hitting me and my brother with random charges for things we weren’t charged for beforehand(probably illegal lol) in our 3 years living there. Instead of making things right and reimbursing me for my lost possessions because of their poor maintenance they reacted in a hostile way making my last few months with them horrible. All the reviews saying this place is great are fake, take it from someone who has lived here and spoken to many other residents here. You should only live here if you want to deal with: Black Mold, cockroaches, worms and other disgusting insects infested in the dirty carpet, constant broken appliances, and rude a very rude property manager. Not to mention the constant break ins that happen to apartments and vehicles of residents. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
