This place has been a staple in Tallahassee forever. I haven’t been by in years but today I called looking for an obscure beer. My bestie is having a rough day and I’ve been trying to track down this beer all afternoon! Mike Jr answered the phone and let me know they don’t carry it but then put me on hold to CALL HIS DISTRIBUTOR for me and find out who else in town does. I just want to say thanks to Mike Jr for going the extra mile. No wonder this place has stood the test of time. 5-stars.

Omg I am literally shaking! Such an awkward, disrespectful, and frightening experience that I’ve never experienced in ANY store before. I thought it was a Tiktok prank! Ed is disturbed! Poor customer service is one thing. I don’t like it, but I can handle it. But THIS guy was just nasty! The way he stopped scrolling on his phone to interrupt my conversation with the other clerk (not to ask if I needed any assistance, but to bark at me like a rabid pit with no self-control) is just bizarre. And saying things that had nothing to do with what we were talking about. He needs Prozac, a hot meal, and some THERAPY. He is violently rude which is not normal, especially that early in the morning. It was terrifying. I left feeling threatened and unsafe. I’ve been here a few times in the past couple months at different times and he seems to be the only Black man who works here so if you see him, PLEASE go to the other register! This is NOT the kind of psycho you want to trust with your license info.
I don’t know what kind of dirt he has on the owner to be able to keep his job, but as the owner, I would never trade in my good name for a monster like that. He’s going to ruin the legacy!
Everyone else is fine. The Mikes are great! Dom is fun. But Ed is dangerous!!! Is he a clerk or a bouncer? If his job is to run people off, he is absolutely stellar! Yikes! Be careful!

This is my favorite place to buy alcohol in Tallahassee because Mike and his employees are always so helpful!! The Beer Barn is a Tallahassee staple and I will be a frequent customer as long as I live here!!

Their employee, leerawn, is a bit slow and some could even say harassing but, everyone else was pretty friendly and gave me a pretty good experience in general.
