I had purchased a microwave oven which only worked for a total of one month...I do understand that occasionally you may buy a product that may be faulty from the factory, but after returning the microwave that's when the service went downhill...Not the first person payed any attention to my needs of fixing or ordering a new microwave...This went on for over a month...There was constant bickering between the employes over whose responsibility it was to help me...In my opinion, Mays Monroe is not the place to buy anything...If I could rate them a zero star, I would...

The only thing about my experience that I'm upset about is the fact that I hadn't gone to them sooner for my appliance needs.
I want to preface by saying there was a wait to get assistance, but it is because they are a small business and there was an influx of people with the labor day holiday and deals. I work in a fast paced, customer facing role, and that comes with the territory. I have no qualms and used that time to look over inventory.
They are super knowledgeable and helped recommend a dishwasher that met my needs of pretty good performance but not super expensive due to the fact I'm moving this year.
It was a quick, painless purchase and the contractor that installed the dishwasher came as planned and was very professional.
I definitely recommend this store. Just be patient with them.

We have bought several appliances from them over the years. The last one we bought was a top of the line Maytag washing machine. Within 3 years we started having issues with it. Call their support department to try to get help on fixing this thing and was pushed to voicemail. Never got a call back. Never got anything. Couldn't get help at all. Ended up going to Home Depot to buy another one. Won't be buying from here again.

Our 10 year old dishwasher decided it was done so we went on a shopping expedition to 2 "big box stores". Let's just say I had to beg someone to help us and even then neither was knowledgeable nor cared if I purchased a dishwasher or not!! I decided right then and there I was going somewhere local. I've heard of Mays Monroe but have never had the occasion to do business with them. I called them last night at 4:50, 10 minutes prior to closing time and Magan answered the phone, was personable, kind, extremely helpful and spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with me! Today we met there at the store to actually pick one and Megan wasn't in, so an extremely helpful Brian helped us. Talk about knowledgeable!! He knew every answer and then some and helped us narrow down to the dishwasher that's best for us!! We purchased a Bosch and I can't wait, so thank you Mays Monroe for making it so easy!! Buy local!!!

Update on Mays Monroe...it has been now been 16 months of misery with double ovens that NEVER work right, a dozen service visits from the manufacturer's folks and NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Mike Monroe sold me the ovens and asked me to be patient when I posted the Google review...that was seven weeks ago! Buyer Beware!!
Mike Monroe sold me sold me KitchenAid double ovens January, 2023. The ovens have never worked. It is now May 28, 2024.
Mays Monroe service did nothing to fix the ovens and I was turned over to Flamingo Appliance Service. Their service man has been to my home more times than I can remember and replaced every part in these ovens...and they still do not work. Mike Monroe never returns a call, nor has his company done anything to help us get oven replacements. I was a long time customer, but will never get over the terrible experience I have been through for the last 14 months. I am still trying to get these ovens replaced. Mays Monroe does not stand by their products! Buyer Beware!

My first purchase from Mays-Munroe Appliance was a Whirlpool refrigerator. I’m sorry this is so long, but I really wanted to enter the facts. My expectations obviously were too high as a repeat Mays-Munroe Appliance customer. I paid for a new LG washer on 6/3/2024 which was estimated arrival/delivery on 7/6/2024. A washer was delivered on 7/6/2024, but it was a ‘scratch and dent’ and not NEW. In fact, it appeared to be on the truck in-line with other appliances that were picked up from other customer locations for disposal. Maybe it was my gut feeling, but I knew when I was asked for ‘wipes’ to clean the unit, this was the unit in their store waiting on a repair part. Of course, I didn’t accept the delivery and I called to ask what time does the store close and that I would be coming in today for a credit refund.
Now you may ask, how did I know there was a broken unit in their store? I had called a few days concern about the washer arrival timeline. The EXP date on my sales receipt was 07/03/2024. The sales associate I spoke with indicated that they had the same LG model I ordered in the store and would follow up to determine why that washer wasn’t sold. The next day the sales associate who handled my purchase explained that he couldn’t sell that washer because it was defective and needed a part. Going so far to say, he was sure that I wouldn’t want water all over the floor. In addition, he also confirmed that the washer I was to receive would be new. I started getting an uneasy feeling that I wasn’t receiving the truth.
I’ve been in the store before and have been greeted warmly. This time I was greeted with silence. Normally, a sales associate would ask if one needed assistance but this time I was handed off to someone else in the store to process the refund. I advised him that I needed a credit refund on the washer as I REFUSED to accept delivery of the unit because: 1) The steel plate is held together with screws. Although all screws are in the unit, the steel plate is broken on the lower left side. So, you have a plate over a screw that is open/unattached on one side, 2) Upper corner, the plastic corner (rear of unit) is broken with visible access to inside the unit and 3) the front of the unit was scratched and dented.
To add insult to injury, the person issuing the credit refund insisted that the unit was new because it was Wrapped in Plastic and he watch them load it on the truck. I stated to him that this was Not a New Unit and I proceeded to show him the timestamp images captured on my phone. After viewing the images, I wasn’t surprised when he attempted to blame the delivery guys for all damages. He missed an opportunity to be honest and hold the company accountable for this deception. I also advised him that in the future, deliver new in the box, unbox at customer location for inspection by all and once installed, the customer will accept if there aren’t any issues. I mentioned that anyone can put plastic around a unit and call it new, however the scratches and dents, broken plastic at the top and the steel plate unattached validated to me that this was not a new unit.
I had a great first-time customer experience when I purchased my refrigerator, not sure why Mays-Munroe would attempt to deceive/defraud on the washer. I do know going forward, I will not be a repeat Mays-Munroe Appliance customer because I find this type of service unethical.
Bottom line, I received an immediate refund of $844 from Mays-Monroe. Purchased an upgraded Samsung washer from Home Depot for $840. The washer will be new, unopened and due to arrive in approximately 4 days.

I have attempted to schedule service since Thursday. All I get is a "we will call back within 24 hours" reply. apparently, your company does not care about repairing product (washing machine) I purchased from you. I will be in your store shortly to discuss.

Nobody picks up the phone at administration or repair. The web-form to request repair, that I filled out, never got responded to after a week and a half. These people are worthless, it's almost like they are running a front company. Never buy a Maytag in this town.

Let me join the 'not a happy customer' group. I ordered a dishwasher, which was promptly delivered on the specified date. However, the front cover was defective from the manufacture. So, not at the fault of MM. The defect was pointed out by one of the two installers, and I was told a new cover would be ordered. A couple weeks passed and I heard nothing, so I contacted MM's parts/repair department. I spoke with a very nice gentleman who was unaware that a cover needed to be ordered, and he said one would arrive in a week & a half. Well, three weeks passed and contact was made, this time I spoke with another guy in the same department. He didn't seem to even know what I was talking about, but he could at least tell me the part had been ordered. Another 2 weeks passed, and I finally reached out to the sales lady, who sold me the dishwasher, hoping she'd be able to tell me when I could expect the new cover to arrive. Instead of replying to me directly, she forwarded my email to the initial parts/repair guy and someone else. A week and a half passed with zero communication from anyone. Please note 3 different people ignored my email. Finally, I emailed the sales lady again, copying the other 2 people, and was immediately contacted letting me know the cover was in and could be installed. Hooray! Wonder when they were gonna let me know? So, similar to what others have said, purchasing the dishwasher was a breeze and install happened as promised. But, their communication (or lack thereof) sucks! And, THEY DO NOT CARE! Never once did I receive an apology for the inconvenience this caused me. I will have future appliances to be purchased, but it will not be @ Mayes Monroe.

I was building my home and worked with Mays-Munroe. They communicated with my builder & cabinet designers to make sure everything was beautiful, functional and could pass code ahead of time. So happy with the finished product! Beats the box store experience.

Wife and I Called Mays several times without a response just minutes before walking into the office only to see that there were more available sales reps than customers ?. Paid Service/installation person never called or showed up to complete the job. Sad after spending thousands cash in your store! Had to call to track down the appliances just to pay the remaining balance. Gotta do better Tallahassee! Communication with businesses in my hometown are well below average.
