“This is a great hotel we have stayed several times, always clean and quiet friendly staff just be careful booking somehow I ended up on a site called reservations at lodging it looked like Hilton's site but they are third party so as a result missed out on my Hilton Honors rewards, and rate, and this company whoever they are charge a $42 recovery fee what ever that is. Make sure you are on the real Hilton sight if you are an Honors member. I highly recommend this hotel”

“The beds and pillows were EXTREMELY comfortable. This was a quick overnight stay and we got in real late. Kate was working the front desk and she was AMAZING!!! We were exhausted and she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.”
“I stand with Travis! Sherry is VERY problematic. She berates and belittles any chance she gets. Should not be working in hospitality as she possesses ZERO PEOPLE skills. I’m surprised people still frequent this bar with her still working with this company. Disappointing that the GM (Keith) allows this behavior to CONTINUE to happen to patrons and employees”
“What a nice well thought-out hotel room with two queen size beds sliding doors that go to the bathroom and shower area and a wall that extends from one side of the room to the other separating those two areas very nicely between sleeping / working area and showering and preparing for your day”

“did a great job on helping me and my family out with are needs they all really did make us laugh and have a good time and Davien went out his way to help me and my family no matter what happened and I really appreciate everything he does.”
“Rooms are nice and the staff is friendly. I felt so bad for the poor employee running the front desk. She had to navigate 25 reserved rooms one at a time and none of the customers spoke English. She did a great job being helpful and polite through the entire experience. There was also no issue when I needed some extra items for the room. The gym is well stocked with treadmills and other exercise machines. Parking was easy. Breakfast comes with the room.”

“We really liked the layout of the rooms. There was plenty of space for our luggage. The kitchenette was nice because of access to clean dishes, microwave, fridge, freezer, and even a toaster. There were also paper towels, dish towels, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent bars, which was a very convenient surprise. The breakfast was great! It was THE best free breakfasts we have had while staying at a Hilton hotel. The ladies who kept the breakfast room stocked were so wonderful and kind. The hotel staff in general was very professional. The swimming pool was too full of dead bugs for our kids to feel safe swimming. They definitely tried but got really grossed out because their feet kept stepping on all sorts of dead bugs at the bottom. It was also very cold water. Instead, they ended up playing basketball in the courtyard. They really loved that part of the hotel. They had a net behind the basketball hoop to prevent accidental hits against the hotel, which made me, as a parent, feel safer about them playing. The hotel also had games, food, and drinks available at the front desk.If we were to come back to Tallahasse, this is definitely the hotel to stay at for us. I liked that it was a two room hotel, with a sleeper sofa, and that was the biggest factor for us.Cleanliness 5/5Location 5/5Security/ felt safe 5/5Parking 5/5Breakfast 5/5”

“We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Our room was very clean. I was worried based on other reviews but we had no issues with our room. The front desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly. The room was larger than a standard room and the beds were comfortable. The location was close to FSU. Would consider staying here in the future.”

“I stayed for two weeks the first half of May. During that time my room was cleaned regularly and the linens were changed. Everyone was pretty friendly. The breakfast bar was clean and there was a decent amount of food for breakfast. They also had oat milk. It’s the usual hotel continental breakfasts nothing out of the ordinary. I don’t understand why everyone expects a lot for hotel breakfasts
My only con is the carpet could use cleaning.”

“My stay at Governors Inn in Tallahassee, Florida, was absolutely fantastic! This charming boutique hotel offers a unique blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and Southern hospitality, making it an unforgettable experience.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Tallahassee, just steps away from the Florida State Capitol, the Supreme Court, and a variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel’s central position makes it easy to explore all that Tallahassee has to offer.
What makes Governors Inn truly special is its rich history. The building was originally constructed in the 1920s as a stable and warehouse, and in the 1980s, it was transformed into the boutique hotel it is today. The hotel has preserved many of its original features, including exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and antique furnishings, which give it a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each room is named after a Florida governor, adding a personal touch and a connection to the state’s history.
The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities you could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in the room’s decor was impressive. I especially loved the historical touches throughout the hotel, which made the stay feel like stepping back in time, but with all the conveniences of the present.
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was perfect. They provided great recommendations for local dining and attractions, making my visit to Tallahassee even more enjoyable.
Overall, Governors Inn offers a five-star experience with its unique historical charm, prime location, and outstanding service. It’s the perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the best of Tallahassee in a setting that’s both luxurious and steeped in history. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!”
“We work with the FRLA as one of our marketing partners. Every associate we do business with in regard to print projects, conferences, events, etc... is always a pleasure to work with. We always appreciate the recognition we receive at their annual Marketing and Operations Summit. We *could* just be in the background as a marketing vendor, but they always make a point to come to our booth, thank us, and recognize us in their presentations. We truly feel our partnership is appreciated.”

“I always end up staying here when I am in Tallahassee, it is always very clean and the managers are very polite and professional. Even though we were late on checking out and leaving the room due to our ride being late from (surprise) Tallahassee traffic, the managers were not rude and were understanding. Even when we checked in a few days before close to midnight because we had to leave the horrors of Motel 6. I will definitely not make the mistake of going to a cheaper place, but even then Econolodge is affordable and worth it! Thank y’all!”

“Our stay was great, staff was very friendly. The room that we were in had items on the floor like room service didn't vacuum the floor prior to us entering the room.
Rooms: Our room floors were not clean. There were kabobs stick and pills on the floor when we entered the room. The bathroom floor had hair on it
Food and drinks: The food and drinks were very good. Really enjoyed the wings and flatbread.”

“Stayed for two nights. The rooms and bathrooms were large and clean. The breakfast was great and tasted good. The best part about the entire property is their staff, they were commendable and helped us out with everything.”
“Really cute hotel! New build with fun decor. Pet friendly!!!! They even had a little water dish and dog bones at the entrance. Lots of great places to eat in the area. Location is nice, too; you’re right by the two big schools. Railroad Square Art District is close by as well. Look both ways when you cross the street, the traffic can be pretty spicy if you’re trying to cross.”
