My check engine light came on after I had my oil changed with Chevrolet service center in Quincy. I took it back and he said the part was on back order but I found out that it wasn't the part that I needed. I took it to Champion Chevrolet on Tennessee St. In Tallahassee and that's when I found out that it needed a whole gas tank due to the sensor inside the tank but they couldn't fix it because the warranty would've collapsed. He recommended me to take it to Chevrolet GMC on Capital Circle NE. I was.tired of driving so I took it back to my hometown Chevrolet GMC and they still did fix the problem. Finally I made an appointment with Chevrolet GMC in Tallahassee on Capital Cir. N.E. they told me it needed a turbine and gas tank. It took the parts two days to come in. They kept it for a week and went over everything to make sure they fixed every detail. BRI called me Monday to pick it up. I made the right choice and will be going back for all my services. My service team Brianna Rowan was great at keeping me updated about my car. Thanks to the mechanics that worked on it.

We encountered engine trouble traveling across Florida and stopped in to see what the issue was. Dale Earnhardt Jr. GMC took us in as soon as we arrived, got our truck all fixed up, dealt with the warranty and had us back on our way quickly. Andrew in Service was amazing. Great job guys and gals! Highly recommend.

I recently bought my first car and had an amazing experience at the dealership, thanks to Travis Asbell. I was initially nervous about car shopping, but Travis made everything easy to understand and made sure I found the perfect car. The entire process was smooth, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I love my car and highly recommend Travis to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle—he's super helpful and knowledgeable! No more ubers for this girl!

Dropping my previous 5* rating to 3, due to rude opening. Dealer Website shows 7:00 open, so I arrived at 7:30 for my 8:00 appointment. I wanted the car back quickly, so wanted to be front of the line. Totally ignored by staff I can see through the window. RUDE. Door also shows 7:00 open. Supposedly they have changed their Open times- you can certainly take a moment and let those of us standing outside know what’s happening. Rating for a few * for the video diagnosis that showed a couple surprise issues we didn’t know about. Otherwise this would be 0*

Brienna was an amazing service representative. She was thorough when assessing the issues we faced, she documented all concerns and she communicated DAILY regarding the status and ETA of my needed repairs. She was a customer's dream. I was never in the dark regarding potential issues, needed parts and estimated time of completion. I will ask for her every time.

* Edit- Chevy's comment on this post is on par with this whole experience. They commented their generic office number to call. No direct line to manager. Chevy management you guys need to directly reach out to me, I shouldn't have to fight through your phone tree! But again that would mean they have some degree of customer service, shame on me...*
I don’t usually write reviews, but felt a strong pull to share my negative experience at Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet with others. I purchased a new truck in 2020, and recently (July 2024), the transmission coolant line detached, wore against the motor pulley, and eventually burst, disabling my transmission. My truck only has 37,000 miles on it and is still under the powertrain 100,000-mile warranty. However, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet declined the warranty claim, blaming Truck N Car Concept, who installed a winch for me. The transmission tech at Chevrolet alleged that Truck N Car dislodged the Christmas Tree Clip that secures the transmission coolant line during the winch installation.
Shane, the service manager, quoted me $14,200 for a remanufactured transmission installation. Shane claimed they had never seen a transmission coolant line detach in such a manner before. I responded that just because something is rare doesn't mean it can't happen, which is precisely why warranties exist.
Even so, I did my due diligence and called Truck N Car and paid for a tow ($85) to have them examine Chevrolet's claim. Joe, the owner, reviewed the winch installation manuals and demonstrated that Truck N Car had no reason to access the area where the line attaches. He showed me that the Christmas Tree clip was undamaged, which would not have been the case if it had been forcibly removed. Truck N Car proved their case that the issue was not their fault, suggesting that Chevrolet may never have installed the clip correctly in the first place.
I presented this evidence to Shane at Chevrolet, who said he would escalate the matter to his District Regional Manager. Despite providing clear evidence refuting their claim, I haven't heard anything back from Shane or Chevrolet. Shane’s indifferent body language and unwillingness to be proactive and understanding indicated he was merely going through the motions rather than advocating for me as the customer. Ten days have passed without any communication from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet.
Facing dead ends, I sought a second quote from Nationwide Transmission, which came in at $7,000—half the price of Chevrolet’s quote. Nationwide's transmission was also Chevrolet remanufactured, with a superior three-year unlimited mile warranty compared to Chevrolet's.
A friend suggested getting a second opinion from another Chevrolet dealer in South Georgia. After spending $250 for a tow, their service department actually seemed to prioritize the customer. The South Georgia service manager asked if the Tallahassee service department suggested repairing the coolant line first to assess the transmission's condition. They had not. We replaced and repaired the coolant line, filled the transmission with fluid, and discovered that the transmission was fine.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet attempted to charge me $14,200 for an unnecessary transmission replacement. The owner of the South Georgia dealership expressed frustration over how often the Tallahassee dealership overcharges customers. According to him, the Dale Earnhardt staff prioritizes profit over customer care, a sentiment he found troubling as a fellow Chevrolet franchise owner.
In summation, if you're considering purchasing or servicing your Chevrolet or GM product, avoid Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet in Tallahassee. Both locations in Tallahassee prioritize their interests over yours. Despite waiting for upper management to contact me for nearly two weeks, I've heard nothing. Dale Earnhardt Jr., your family'
