My husband and I got a vehicle from American Car Center on July 9, 2022. We were never told that our vehicle was a lease and didn't find out until AFTER we had paid our down-payment and signed paperwork electronically. We couldn't have backed out of the contract after we made our down-payment because that locked us into the contract and we would have had to pay thousands of dollars to recind our part of the offer. On February 24, 2023 American Car Center/American Financial (in house financing) closed their doors permanently and shut down the pay site that we used to make our payments. Our payments were always made on time (usually early) but yet now we have no ability to make payments. Now, we are being hounded by a Debt Collector (Westlake Portfolio Management-WPM). They cannot verify that they own our Debt and call numerous times a day every day including Sunday. We have repeatedly told them to stop calling us, but they persist. I've sent out a debt validation letter and will wait. Meanwhile, RAC DEALERSHIP LLC DBA AMERICAN CAR CENTER/AMERICAN FINANCIAL has filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Federal Court. Our car title is showing as being held by AF Title Co (a 1 truck, 1 driver, 1 employee trucking company) and has the same address as American Car Center/American Financial in Memphis, TN. Please make sure you check out the "buy here-pay here" places. They had a pretty good run on folks and have money for vehicles that people got right up until the last few minutes before they permanently locked their doors, leaving people's contracts on the tables and floors. Those poor people can't even get tags for their vehicles. Temporary tags have expired and they still can't get any information.Why, should the customer be harassed by a debt collector when we were not delinquent through any fault of our own.

I have been dealing with this dealership for 2 years. I got my car from the Tallahassee location at first everything was great then I started having issues with the car and can't reach nobody at all. Everytime I call the service center they pick up and hang up. Not only that this lady called saying I have late fees on my payment when I know for a fact I pay either before or on my payment due date I have went through my transactions trying to see when I was late haven't found out. This has by far been the worst dealership experience ever.

Worst car dealership EVER. The car is a LEASE. They fail to tell you that bit of Information. You will pay unil your lease is up then you will STILL have a balloon payment at the end.

This dealership has given me no response I had a collateral swap brought a vehicle 2 months later the engine light comes on they switch it for me but now my license are suspended due to them not giving the tag now the vehicle I have now since may 3 months laters the engine light comes on we gotta do better I’m so not a happy customer ?

As a first time car buyer me and my wife went to America Car Center looking for a car when went another to get a car where we had to put 800 down on the car be we only had 500 to put down on the car and we had to bring the other 300 back and couldn't drive the car off the lot until we did so but end up going to America Car Center with the same 500 down the guys got on our paperwork we got approved and we drove off in our new car the staff was curiosities too us and I would recommend other people to them great job

If you have bad credit or if you need a car an no other car dealership will help or accept you go to American Car Center I kept going all over to find me a car but American Car Center was able to help me get into a lovely 2015 Volkswagen Passat and I love it Terrance and Scott made all my dreams come true. Go to American Car Center you won't regret it

I got my car here from American car center, and I’ve been with them for about a year now, next February makes 2 years. My car is already having transmission problems or some issues with the engine. Its like I can’t turn it to much or press on the gas pedal or the beeping noise comes on, and it says, “shift car into Park” and my car shuts off so I have to press the push to start , and then push it to turn it on. And it’s trying to start but it takes a-little while. They referred me to AMMCO, and my car had been in there parking lot for always 2 weeks. I get no call no pick up from them , no communication from them on what’s going on. American car center I call them trying to get ahold of someone everyday, nobody picks up there phone…I go up to American car center I talk to Terrance about what’s going on he shows no concern , no sincere, what so ever. And he knew that AMMCO was closed. I get no communication or reach out from American car center what so ever about what’s going on…so im clueless and i am reaching out but nobody is reaching out to me or picking up my calls. Just horrible customer service when I pay more than what I’m supposed to pay on my payments for that car and this is the service I get …..just terrible. If I could a got my car from somewhere else I would of , or if I could trade my car in and go to a different car dealership, I would.

Don't go here, they will sale you a bad car, then give you the run around about it. Take your payments and then put your car in discovery, to be picked up. ??

Do not go here .. service is terrible paying the bill is terrible. The people that work there esp the women , terrible. Once my car paid off in a year , I will never have to deal with that place again. Scale one to ten for their customer service skills and how condescending they were to my wife ZERO NEGATIVE ZERO . SAVE YOUR MONEY TIL YOU FIND BETTER . It just have to be more cars in a better area with better service. I'm saving you 3 years .

Bought a car from these scam artists and it was the worst thing I could have even done! Didn't notice till it got nice out that the car is covered with scratches from top to bottom and the front bumper is 3 shades different then the car and they put there tag on the front to cover up the paint chipping of! The manager Terence will not do anything nor will he return my calls! Then I find out that he lied to there corporate office and said that he has talked to me several times and that he told me to bring the car in to look at it and that never happened! He's a scammer and sells lemons I now have to hire a lawyer so I can get this issue resolved! Stay way from this place they take your money and will not help you with anything after that! I wouldn't go there if it was the last dealership on the planet! Scam scam scam! This is not just a review this is facts!
