I have always gone in this establishment with a positive experience. That was until this past Friday on 5/24. I always go through the proper check out sequence. I wanted to get 2 10 packs of pink Whitney which are the past checkout counters. There was zero customers checking out or going to checkout. I went around to grab the 10 packs of pink Whitney's. There was a gentleman that had a buzz cut at the counter in the middle asking if I'm checking out. I said not yet I'm going to grab a few more items and will be checking out. He proceeded to follow me and say that that's not allowed and we have a problem with theft and it's very serious.. basically making me feel like I'm going to steal. I go in there every Friday practically and it's pain to walk past the counters go grab what you need and go back. I gave no clear indication I was walking towards the door and I was going to pay for my items. Because of that guy I won't be going to that location for a while. I know I didn't spend a lot but in a world where brick and mortar shops are hurting every cent counts. I suggest they move the 10 pack cases towards where you walk through to checkout and not at the end.

a waste of gas! the guy working here (i hope to god not a manger) absolutely sucks and has terrible customer service skills. Worst experience started with asking about an item they show “in stock” on their website but homie tells me “they are not in stock at any abc” what’s the point of having a website if you’re not even going to update it? then i browse around the store and get what i need. a very nice lady offers us a sample of margarita and IDs us to see we are 21+. when we get up to the register to pay the rude guy cashier says he can’t sell to us and we can’t “browse” without being ID yet let us browse around to get our liquor and a sample? this man was just straight up rude and had some power complex. There’s ways to talk to paying customers and he’s not it.

For my wine shopping experience, I decided to head on down to my local ABC here in beautiful Tallahassee, Florida. Upon arrival, I was overwhelmed with the vast amounts of alcohol that could be held within 4 walls. I thought to myself, how is this possible? If you want to talk about the closest thing to heaven on earth, I will consider ABC Fine Wine and Spirits to be a fine example. Jesus did turn water into wine, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was in the back contributing to the magic that goes on within this place. With all these thoughts running through my head, I was approached fairly quickly by a guy name Larry. This guy was on a mission to make sure I left here satisfied and hungry for more. I told him that I was having a graduation party with my family and wanted to be pointed in the right direction on a budget friendly, while still a great tasting Cabernet Sauvignon. As his eyes lit up and congratulated me on my success here at The Florida State University, he quickly showed me to an isle and instantly picked up a bottle of La Cappuccina Madégo Cabernet Sauvignon. “This is what you need” he said, and man did he have all the information to back his reasoning. He continued to give me facts about the grape as well as how the family has been in business since 1890. I could tell Larry loved his job and how excited he was for a youngster like me to come into his store seeking his knowledge. The label was nice but did not change my buying decision because Larry knew best, and you can’t ever judge a book by its cover. Overall, my shopping experience at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits was more than a success. I would have gotten a picture with him, but I didn’t want to put him in an uncomfortable situation. I purchased the wine and it has some tasting notes of oak, raspberry, and cherries. I left feeling valued and happier than when I walked in. Not all heroes wear capes. Cheers Larry.

I work close by and was coming in, about three times a week, and I enjoyed being greeted by the cashiers. One day I came in, second week in April, and the newest cashier was extremely rude. She had her back to the desk and told me "this is NOT the check out line". I am not going back.

I've been coming here for *months*, but all of a sudden I'm getting kicked out for having an out of state ID? This doesn't even seem to be a law in Florida, and I'm almost 27 so I surely don't look underage. Whatever, all I know is that you guys lost two loyal customers from us. Beware that if you're traveling from out of state or have even just not gotten a new ID yet, you probably won't be welcome here. -_-

Staff greeting as we walked in the door. Ask if we needed help. He walked us to the Jeam Beam family. Very nice staff. Prices are awesome.
