This is by far the best veterinary experience I’ve had in my whole 30 years of ownership. Since being on the phone I felt very accommodated and that my dog would be in good hands. I recommend asking for Dr. Rodriguez! His very kind natured, loving, and professional attitude is why I will not be going anywhere else for my fur children!

Great place with specialty Drs including Avian. Someone brought me an infant pigeon because they found. I have some experience raising baby wildlife, mainly domestic and wild birds I was able to get an appt the very next morning with an Avian specialist. The Vet tech Rachel was the best, having alot of experience with wildlife especially birds. Dr. Rodriguez was able to determine the age and the health of the baby. I was impressed. Baby is doing good Happy and Healthy

I have been taking my puppy to Welleby Veterinary Hospital and it is a great experience from the moment I walk in. I really like that I actually get to be in the room with my puppy and the doctor, because any concerns or questions are answered readily. The receptionists are also always very nice.

I wouldn’t recommend bringing your pets or rescues here. I brought a cat that I rescued from the street in late March to see if she was chipped and to get her the shots ready because I was willing to adopt her. Since the cat wasn’t chipped, we started the process of vaccinations, tests, etc. This is the first time that I rescued a cat from the street so everything was very new to me. She got the shots she needed during that first visit and we were told to come back in three weeks (we got charged $500 for this).
This is where the problem started. Three weeks later, my husband and I took the cat back for the second doses. As soon as the nurse came in the room, she noticed that the cat looked “big” and asked us if we had noticed it, and proceeded to call the doctor. The doctor came and told us that there was a big possibility that this cat was pregnant and that she needed to do an ultrasound to confirm. My husband and I were in shock. Why didn’t they check her when I took her the first time? This cat was very big and ended up giving birth DAYS after the second visit, which clearly indicates that they could’ve checked her during the first visit!!! These “professionals” gave my cat vaccines during the first visit that should not have been given because she was pregnant. They never acknowledged their mistake and all they said after they confirmed the pregnancy was that “she should be fine anyway” regarding the vaccines that they shouldn’t have given to my cat. Excuse me??? We paid more than $1000 in less than a month for all these tests and vaccines that we did not anticipate and could’ve been prevented if they actually did their job and checked the cat during the first visit. Everyone’s reaction in that room was very distasteful, like making jokes and congratulating us for becoming “grandparents”, when we clearly didn’t feel that way at the time because it was a huge shock. We also let the nurse know that we didn’t know how we would afford all the bills for the kittens and the only thing she said to us was that we should “get the financial arrangements ready so we can bring the kittens”. Again, very unprofessional. There was another instance where I called because my cat had a little bit of blood a few days after giving birth. Over the phone, I was told by the receptionist who checked with the doctor that I should bring the cat asap because that wasn’t normal and wanted to check her. However, as soon as I get there and of course get charged $75 for this visit, this SAME doctor tells me that the bleeding was normal and that I shouldn’t worry about it???? I just can’t believe it. Btw, they wanted me to bring the kittens 4 weeks after they were born for their first round of vaccines, just to get more money out of us.
I’m VERY glad I went to get a second opinion in a place where they actually care about cats. They told me that what they did at this place is unacceptable and very unprofessional and dangerous. Never coming back to this place. So glad all our cats are healthy now and taken care of by another amazing vet.

Very friendly staff. They were as concerned for my kitten as I was when I told them what was wrong. Definitely a devoted group of people who have a heart I’m so glad I got this vet to bring my fur babies to. I’ll continue to use this vet only.

I found Welleby Vet Hospital when having an emergency with my parrot. I called around and was turned down by multiple exotic vets but Welleby said to bring him right in. They did everything they could to make my parrot comfortable and start to diagnose. They sent us home with a care plan but also clearly explained risks with his condition.
Every single person who works there is so sweet, knowledgeable, and clearly loves their job. The office is clean and very calming. Even with my parrot in such critical condition, they maintained a calm demeanor which helped me to as well.
I would highly recommend this office.

I take my cat to Welleby and love it! The staff is very friendly, the facility is very clean, and the vet’s are very empathetic when it comes to my concerns! They’ve always been so helpful whether it was getting my cat neutered, refilling a prescription, or just addressing my worries when it came to him. Would highly recommend!
