I love this salon! They have a very diverse selection of stylists and they specialize in a variety of areas: natural hair, extensions, braids, hair coloring, cuts, relaxers, perms and etc. Sunkys is a full-service salon and all are trained beauticians. They don't just do hair lol. Sunky is a whiz with the blow dryer and brush. Her blowouts are full of volume and bounce.
The salon takes walk-ins and appointments depending on the style/availability. What I love most is the vibe. It such an old school feel and it takes me back to when I would frequent the salon with my mother as a child. Everyone is so positive, full of life and hospitable. Such a rare gem in today's modern world. They value your time and in doing so they get you in/out.
The salon has several wash stations, several hair dryers and a hair steamer. It's always clean and comfortable. Lastly, have a variety of hair products available for purchase.

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience at Sunkys Hair Salon. I went in for a Keratin treatment, and the owner recommended Botox instead. Unfortunately, this was a costly mistake. The Botox seemed old, and I could tell it wasn't effective. My hair ended up looking like I had done it myself at home.To make matters worse, they upsold me on hair products, claiming they would help with hair growth. They asked me to bring those products back for my next visit. Given my busy schedule, I couldn't find the time for a return visit. After reaching out to express my concerns, they invited me back to inspect my hair. However, I consulted with other professionals, and they confirmed that the products used on my hair were outdated.I had been a loyal customer since I was 9 years old, with a go-to stylist, Mercedes. Unfortunately, she is no longer there. My family and I will not be returning. This experience was disappointing and costly.Services: Blowouts

I Whent There 2Day And I Got MY Hair Cut There. I Gave Them A 1 ⭐ Star Because I Got MY Hair Bleach And Colored There And I Did I Like The Hair Cut But I Don't Like The Color Because They Made ME Look Like Big Bird And I SO! Disappointing Because The Color IS Really Bad And For ME TO Pay 206 With Not Liking The Color Then Looking Like Big Bird.

After having dreadlocks for 10 years and taking them out took 5 weeks. I knew I wanted something different but still able to keep my natural hair without chemicals. So I asked my boyfriend to find me the best salon for silk press. And when I tell you that Sunky changed my life SUNKY CHANGED MY LIFE ? The outcome was so amazing. I feel so beautiful and my hair is too die for!!!! As soon as I was done I had to make an appointment for my Aunt. I know she is going to love the results. So soft and flowing head of hair. Wilka GURL YOU ARE SIMPLY AMAZING AT WHAT YOU DO ????????????

The stylist ruined my hair as well as my two daughters! :( We decided to get a blowout for the holidays but when we left, our hair was scorched and it smelled that way for months nor would our natural hair pattern revert to its curly state. After nearly a year and many desperate attempts to treat our hair, we had to result to big chopping. Our hair was healthy and down our backs before… we believe that the high heat and/or chemicals in the conditioner permanently damaged our hair. If you are a person of color who wants to maintain your natural curl/kinks, I would avoid this salon.Service: Blowouts

Well FINALLY.. I found somewhere that can to do my hair!! Sunkys..you will NOT be disappointed. I asked for it and I got it...ABSOLUTELY a nice layered cut & style. Sunky did my hair today and it was a really good experience. I had grown out highlights on my natural brown hair when I went in wanting to go a darker brown all over. I knew it was a long shot to get everythin g one solid color but it turned out perfectly! I showed her one reference pic and she was able to do exactly what I wanted: All of the other hair dressers' clients in the salon looked beautiful as well. My hair has never felt healthier and I will definitely be going back:)Service: Hair coloring

Great service left with a beautiful hair color and great style. I've went here a few times but never colored my hair. Sunky did the color and it came Out amazing! I will definitely be back. Thank you for getting me wedding ready; I received lots of complaints. See you soon .

Live this place... great place for my natural girls..The staff is very professional and they get u in and out, no 4 hours in the salon. I will always go here to my hair straighten.
