PLEASE READ before deciding to send your child here! Teachers HIT KIDS HERE! My brother has been going here for a while but recently we've been having HORRENDOUS experiences. My brother is a three year old that had Ms. Siddiqui as his teacher. First a couple months ago she had fed him beef (in our religion we don't eat beef and had wrote it as an allergy) Imagine your child getting fed food that they're ALLERGIC to. Not just that, yesterday my brother, Brian had gone to school with no marks on his face but once he got home we noticed a blood stain and dry blood on the side of her lip near his cheek. We were concerned seeing it since he said it pained so much plus I don't think any parent would expect that. Brian even stated what happened when we had asked, he is a baby that will tell you everything! If you touch him he'll tell his parents and siblings, so Im sure whatever he said did happen. He stated that a teacher hit him and it hurt. My father had called the school to ask about it and they didn't take the situation seriously, it seemed like a joke for them. They called us in 5 minutes, I don't think the manager/principal even cared to check properly. We asked if they can confirm what exactly happened. Instead of handling the situation, they unprofessionally started blaming a 3 year innocent child for lying and making up stories? HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHAT LYING MEANS! When we said not to blame a child, Ms.Jenny blamed my dad of making a story up? Why would a parent make a story regarding their child getting hurt? If a teacher didnt hit him how was he bleeding, they had NO EXPLANTATION! Its ridiculous. We went back to the school and my brother was terrified seeing the teacher, when asked he stated INFRONT of the school staff what happened, he said teacher names and explained the situation. Yet the school failed to acknowledge what had occurred. Walking out of the school Ms.Jenny said do whatever you want we didn't do anything. When a parent waiting for their child had asked what happened, and we were explaining we were stopped by school staff? why? is it because they are actual at fault? YES! Beware of them, today we called before taking legal actions and they started getting disrespectful and saying that my dad is expelled from the school? Who said he goes there, no one is allowed to stop us from getting our voice heard! Please Please Please, don't let your children get tortured here, there are many better schools out there! These outdated reviews do no justice for them. Ive complained to CPS, Broward County school licensing department, ELC, Florida Department of Education and many other platforms. If your child goes here please take your time and ask them if they've ever got hit.

The worst school day school EVER don't owner and most of the staffing is TRASH. Don't do it put your child somewhere that has a corporate office. Do not put you child there. If anything happens the owner will not do anything to help you or care about your complaints. The teachers squeezes your kids and aren't always nice. And the Manager in the front is the worst she does not know how to deal with kids.

If I can give 0 stars I will. My son has attended this school twice before for summer break. And for when public school was virtual during Covid. I had no issues before. But winter break I called them last min for him to attend. He felt ill no fever just stomach aches. Took him to the ER only to find out he was positive for Covid. I called and told them. And ask if I can get a credit since he will not be there the remaining of the week which it was a short week anyway being it was Christmas week. I never got a call back so I follow up today only to find out that the owners said no because their policy is they don't have part-time tuition. The OWNER is being money hungry because he does not attend this school regularly therefore it's not like his tuition is pre-planned. And also I did not sign any new registration forms that states this policy. $150 for 1 day basically.

I love this school!! Never have I felt my children did not receive the proper care or attention. The new director is amazing and very loving. When my son was sick, Ms.Tissia would personally call me to let me know how he was feeling, they don't wait until pick up to let me know.. She is very involved with the children at the school! I recently received a promotion and will be relocating. If I could take her with me I would! My expierence at this school was incredible. The entire school staff made it a point to greet me every morning and every afternoon. My daughter is always held and loved on which made me feel secure she was always properly looked after. Rarely did my kids get sick unlike my first experience at another daycare. School is ALWAYS Verly clean!!! No urine or poop smell. My children always came home clean without injuries. Staff appearance was very clean and professional!! May be a little pricey for some but you truly get what you pay for. They do tons of activities throughout the year and are very big on parent involvement which made me feel even more secure. O.A is the place to be!!!!

This school is extremely unprofessional and I am extremely disappointed in ever enrolling my little baby here. My son has only been enrolled for two months and at first he adjust fine. Then the last two weeks it's been terrible. He would cry every single drop off and ultimately cry the entire day. My son is a happy baby, not saying that because he's my son but literally like any other child he will cry at first in a new environment but he will eventually adjust. I believe my son has been traumatized in some way, shape, or form from attending this specific school. I leave him with any other babysitter and he does amazing... also, this school called me to pick my son up after an hour of drop off because he was crying. Shows incompetence that they cannot handle a crying baby and makes me believe my son is being mistreated. After I picked him up, they gave me all his belongings as if I was unenrolling him from this school. I advised them to keep the items because I never said I was removing him from the school. Well, later that day I receive the daily report and in the daily report it includes the feedings schedule, in the report it stated specifically that my son ate and in detail how much of what specific foods, when mentioned to the school they stated it could've have been a mistake. I never questioned why my son was unreasonably hungry and thirsty leaving school. Parents depend on these reports on their children. It had details for example "he ate some of the broccoli, all of the lasagna, none of the milk" mind you MY SON WAS HOME WITH ME AT LUNCH TIME! This is falsifying daily student reports. Now I am questioning if they are even feeding my child correctly. To top it off. In his belongings they did not return the three packs of wipes i including. Like overall this school I 10/10 DO NOT recommend. They refuse to be bothered by a 1 year old crying, lying on reports, and keeping wipes for themselves. This is one of the reasons I even debated on putting my son in such a big daycare.

The staff are really friendly, loving, and Professional. I Mean my daughter cant get enough of them, she gets upset if I pick her up early.Prior to Oakland Academy, my Daughter was very shy but now! Her overall communication and Interpersonal skills have increased tremendously.Did I mention they care about your child's well being, My Daughter has a strict diet and the Staff doesn't have a problem catering to her needs.Due to Pandemic, I love the additional steps taken to keep our child safe healthy.Being a First Responder, this is definitely a peace of mind. Thank you Oakland Academy.

This school is the best. The directors and teachers are so nurturing. I ABSOLUTELY love Ms.Kelly and Ms.ROSA. My daughter Brianna has been there for two years now. I am devastated that she will graduate this year. I NEVER had to worry about her and I am actually a helicopter parent. They have amazing amazing amazing teachers! Ms. BRI is one of thee best she teaches shining stars! My daughter adores all of her teachers. If you are looking for a place this is it. The school is always clean, Ms. Kelly and ms. ROSA always pick up the phone, and are ALWAYS available to answer any questions, there is absolutely no fast turnaround. All the teachers remain there. It seems to good to be true but HONESTLY IT IS Not. Try this school you will NOT regret it. Trust me I am a no nonsense mom who doesn't just take anything for my child. Therefore, if i am writing this it is worth trying.

This school is amazing! Ms. Kelly and Ms. Rosa are a dynamic duo and run the facility very well. My two children have attended OA since 8/2019 and it has truly been a pleasure, they've learned so much since then. I appreciate everyone's effort to make sure the children are happy and safe. Communication is on point! I've never had an issue that was not addressed immediately. If your children need extra TLC while learning, this is the place! Shout outs also to the amazing teachers! Ms. Hycinth, Ms. Bree, Ms.Tabby, they are all that and a bag of chips. And can’t forget about Ms.Gayle and Ms.Gracia.:-)-Mecca and Malik's Mommy

Pretty great school my oldest kid loves it there, the only problem i have is when my baby goes to sleep theyre not aloud to put a blanket on her and and the building is a little cold, my kid sleeps pretty much the whole day if she could. Shed usually come home with a cold. Also somebody's kid gave my kid pink eye there once or it was some form of pink eye which was a little annoying, but other than that the place is nice.

My daughter started to attend this school in August of 2017 and I must admit that I absolutely love it. I wish she came here from the start. Not only is it closer to home than the one she attend prior but I the staff is AMAZING!!! The VPK teachers are outstanding and I admire their love for the kids and also their passion for wanting their students to learn. I recently learned that the original owners have chosen to pursue a new path in life and I am a little bit sad by this news but totally understand. I just hope that their high standards will continue with the new owners . From our family to yours we love you guys and wish you the best! #AwesomeSchool

Amazing director, staff, and school environment! My two girls have been at Oakland Academy for the past 3 years and it has been an awesome experience. I even substituted as a teacher in the baby room and the 2 year old room, and the experience was fantastic. Very thorough, clean, fair treatment of every child, truly caring and attentive staff- and this is coming from a Broward County school teacher! Miss Michelle, you and your certified teachers do inspiring work with the children and community and for that we are thankful!
