Its been a long time since I’ve been able to walk-into a salon to get serviced without having an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Fort Lauderdale. The atmosphere is positive, the salon is clean, everyone here is respectful. The hair stylists are quick, efficient and NEAT. For me personally the best part of it all is that they are Haitian. I will definitely be back.
Requested style: The style requested is called “tribal braids in the front with plaits in the back”

I visited Impressions Hair Salon and Ketoise was the stylist assigned to me, when I tell you I LOVE my hair!! The service is as phenomenal and the other staff were super sweet as well!! They arrived on time for my 7am appointment and for the size and length of my knotless, she didn’t take long at all. I look forward to booking with them again in the near future. <3
PS: as women I hope you all come in and treat these ladies with respect because I did see and unruly client disrespect another stylist for absolutely no reason at all. So treat these women who stand up on their feet all day for a living with some dignity and respect.

I would recommend this salon honestly only for convenience and something needed fast. Maybe I just didn’t care for the braider but my aunt has also went here and didn’t really enjoy the experience either but this is just my truth not to bash black business for trying but doesn’t mean we shouldn’t hold others accountable. So I booked this hairstyle within the same week read their rules/fees and ensured to come with my hair washed and blow dried. I suffer from dry scalp which as most black ppl do so I personally always try to keep my scalp and hair somewhat moisturized because it is a MUST(either with grease, shea butter, or light hair moisturizer) Which goes into my next thing if you’re a natural girlie like me and do try to have a hair regimen and healthy hair practices this place really isn’t for you. Anyway,I get there it’s early so I don’t really expect anyone to be upbeat it’s early I don’t really wanna talk but was taught to say good morning and those things, get in the chair and the lady ask what color hair and ask black? I let her no my hair is actually a brownish with blonde-like undertones. The moment I pulled the bonnet off I was met with a her head being tilted back mouth open and almost disturbance in the face? Ig as if I answered wrong lol idk. She takes time to find my hair color we get started she blow dries my hair again I accept cause I don’t really want to be met with attitude but then once we’re done she begins to comb my hair with the rat tail comb which I kindly ask her to not do so and if she may have a separate comb or brush to use but I’m met with attitude as if I asked for too much but she stops but sooner then later she begins again and this time I can feel and hear my hair ripping atp I accepted it cause Ik I’m getting a trim soon so I’ll just cut off the more damage she creates sadly and try not to bud in anymore. As she begins to do the style it seems they use edge control to do styles which I didn’t realize but now know this is just gonna bother the heck out of my scalp do too how much product was used as you can see in the pictures but this is just my honest experience and opinion it didn’t give salon experience I would say. Btw I tipped the lady $15 as well.
Hair type: I have type 4 hair idk what’s the obsession of getting str8 blown out hair defeats the purpose of it actually being a protective style if y’all can’t operate on the hair in it’s natural state den not putting back in any moisture nor oil after all that blow-DRYING

They told me to come washed even tho they had a hair washing station and charged me full price. The girls were sweet and I’m happy they got me in the same day I called, but she did my feed ins crooked :(. Most of them were symmetrical but one in the middle (the most noticeable one) was way off going in a totally different direction. I was pressed for time so I just left and ended up taking them out after a week. Also she didn’t dip my hair in hot water or wrap it after the mouse and only passed the hand blow dryer over my head a few times. I think it’s cause I’m American light skin girl, the workers were only Haitian & we all know how us light skins be getting treated some times. Oh well, 2 stars ?

I love that it’s Haitian owned black women business. The ladies were very nice. I think it’s a bit pricey but I’m willing to pay for good service and fast service. Bring cash to for tips for your braiders. It’s just easier for them. Bring cash for tips for your braiders. I started out at 8:30am finished my boho braids by 2:30 and I have thick hair. She did smedium but honestly they more small so it might’ve be shorter time for everyone else.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Owner “ms lovely” was the absolute most disrespectful and disgusting person ive ever had to meet. She was very rude, lazy, and highly unprofessional. Entire salon lacks organization and class will not start your appointment on time and will make you pay upfront then refuse to complete services. Owner insulted me multiple times and refused to fix the middle of my braids that were crooked and honestly very poor quality and frankly not what i asked for at all. I was in the salon for 8 hours on a Saturday and “ms lovely” Became very hostile and VIOLENT, THREATENED me multiple time. Her and multiple Other stylists tried to PHYSICALLY JUMP me and put their hands on me !!!!

I drove all the way from Pembroke Pines to Sunrise only for them to tell me the person who was supposed to do my hair was still working on someone else and I have to wait over an hour. I left. They could even called and told me that before I got there. And today's my birthday. I'm extremely disappointed.

I was so comfortable in this salon I kept falling asleep in the chair. My stylist was so patient and understanding that I was extremely tired and she was so gentle when adjusting my head. She took her time and my hair is absolutely beautiful! I love this salon! I’ll definitely be back! Thank you Ladies ❤️?

Made an appointment in advance, was very clear on what I wanted and confirmed the day before. Once I got there, they told me they “misunderstood “ what I wanted and tried to upcharge me $160. Nope. Didn’t even try to compromise. Almost like they didn’t want to do my hair anyway so giving me my deposit back was easier. Smh
