I was not happy with my mother's furniture purchase. I felt we were lied to about the timing of the arrival and if Doug had just been honest we would have been fine. The furniture is beautiful but alot more transparency is needed.

We purchased a leather sofa, dining room set, and bedroom set
from Doug at Payne's Furniture Outlet. Doug is very knowledgeable on product and pricing. The quality of his furniture is superior to any other furniture store in the area. We shopped price and quality of furniture at every store here in the villages, Ocala, Leesburg and nothing compared to What Payne's has to offer. If the furniture was not in stock, there was a extended waiting period, beyond Payne's Furniture's control.
Shipping is still a huge issue, that the media does not discuss.
Overall, Payne's Furniture is the best deal in the area

We saw this place when we were looking for furniture and it was a lot better quality than the box stores. We were there for a couple hours the owner was very helpful and patient and just let us look around. We left then went back later and got a sofa and loveseat, dining room table and server. The prices were better than other places we looked at and we weren’t pressured by the owner. Better quality is what we were looking for if you have a problem there it just might be you.

Our recently purchased bedroom set, plus extra bed, was delivered professionally soon after we ordered. We were extremely happy with Doug and our sales experience. We recommend giving Paynes Furniture a closer look.

This is a wonderful store to shop for furniture in. Doug is easy to talk with and gave us a great trade in on our old furniture and upgraded us into a wonderful leather couch loveseat set. Pickup and delivery was fast and the guys were through. He only carries the best furniture. Thanks again for the easy transition.

Beware of this establishment. If you do decide to try it, DO NOT pay for anything in advance! I did and boy did I regret it after about 1.5 months after I was supposed to receive my furniture. When "Doug" tells you that he will deliver it next week, you should automatically assume that you won't see it until at least a month later, this is even after calling him every other day asking where my furniture is. After paying him in full, the next week came and went so, the second week I called for status, he said "My guys have to unload it from the trailer" he told me this for several weeks until I finally told him that I would unload the trailer myself. Then he said the furniture had to be put together, this lasted another two weeks until finally I said, I will put the furniture together just give me what I paid for! finally after 1.5 months, I rented a truck and drove and walked into Payne's Furniture only to find out that half my items were there, he never told me that he couldn't fulfil part of my order so he finally reimbursed me for the item I paid for but couldn't procure. Bottom line, "Buyer Beware" and don't say I didn't warn you.

Really enjoy shopping at this store. They have a great selection of high-quality furniture and accent pieces, at reasonable prices. Shortly after we purchased a living room set, a storm knocked out a surge protector in the power recliner, and the store replaced the part free of charge. We will definitely be back!

If I could rate this company a ZERO i would. This company preys on the elderly and does not follow through with promises made. Many lawsuits have been filed (Marion County Court public record) and even if he loses the case does not pay or settle the debt in any way, leaving the person that sued with no closure.You will have to jump through hoops and navigate the legal system in efforts to recover YOUR money or property, which they will ignore anyway. In the event you win your case, the court will not help you recover damages.So save yourself the hassle and find a reputable seller. Do not become prey.
