We tried hard to like the YMCA. With young kids there's few options for gyms with childcare. When we started we noticed the childcare staff would open late or close early whenever they wanted. They would have their boyfriend/girlfriend come in to talk while they are supposed to be watching kids. These issues were raised to management and they never got back to us about it. When we cancelled they provided nothing to show our membership was cancelled. Sure enough the YMCA still tried to charge for the next month and have tried to charge us 5 times in the past two weeks. Management says there is nothing they can do to stop it.

Water discovery class. Not sure I would pay for this class. We received free. But I'm sure the Y got paid by the State.
Last 2 weeks with new instructor, Kevin, has immensely improved this class. He's great with the kids. Patient, works individually as well as with group. Kevin was great.
Unorganized: week 1 great, week 2 had different instructor. young, just learning, not a good commu icator for being an instructor. Lesson was same as week 1. Week 3 was great, advanced from Week 1/2, with more underwater activities. Week 4 canceled for weather. Week 5 back to week 1/2 lesson barely getting head wet.
Expected at least some kind of followed weekly progressive lesson plan. That way even if there are different instructors. There's a plan. Nope. Instructor sometimes more than 1, stand around thinking of different activities to do.

Really disappointed, my 2 year old was taking a swimming class...the teacher was never on time, they didn't communicate when there were no classes, it's 40 minutes from my house...we got up early. ..when you arrive no one knows anything...if you call to confirm If I opened classes they would respond very poorly…8 children started…the parents left frustrated…in 3rd class there were only 3 children left….A waste of time and money

Love the clean facilities and friendly staff. I like to ride my bike over and use the pool in the summertime?

I have been a member for many years, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The facilities and workout equipment clean and up to date. The YMCA strives to be community driven and inclusive in every way.

I have been a YMCA member over 8 years, it is a great community of people with great care taken in hiring smiling faces and caring individuals. I strongly recommend chair yoga with Kathy, she is unique and a gas.
I have been to other facilities throughout the country, while I have been met by friendly people, YMCA Stuart is my home y. The staff is authentic and all inclusive.

Going to be brutally honest with this one. I've been to a lot of YMCA's. I loved the Y in New Jersey and North Carolina. This one is the worst I've gone to. At night, it seems to be anything goes with teenagers cussing loudly in the gym. The employees working in the workout center sit on their phones and don't look at anyone. During the day all I see is an employee down the hall by the gym letting kids do whatever they want in the gym. Other YMCAS had friendly people who worked there and this one just has a closed kids center, dirty pool, rude (what I see on her door her title is) CEO who has given me dirty looks several times, and absolutely no one monitoring who comes in and out of the gym. Save your money its not worth it. I canceled after two months.

The truth is, I don't recommend day care because I had my children there and they told me that they had lice and I went to pick them up and they didn't have them, just because they had changed teachers and the teacher complained that La Niña was restless but it wasn't enough for her and I took my girl classroom by classroom so they could see that they had lice. My 4-year-old son says he doesn't want to go to school anymore because he doesn't have lice and they tell him that if the truth is, that is child abuse, exposing the children like that and but when they already understand and know, they do not have a director there or anyone who can say what happened or from service that it was a lie from the teacher, they do not have any representative there, the teachers do what they want, but to send the bill to collect for that, they are good but not to call and ask what was happening

What’s going on with this place? Showed up there today to use child drop which is primary reason we maintain our membership; that and the pool, which seems to be shut down every other week. Child drop room was empty and nobody knew why. Took 15 minutes for them to find out the person working the room was out sick. How is there only one person that can work that room? No email sent out either notifying parents the room would be closed that day. Disappointing.

I really enjoy being a member of Stuart’s Ymca. The facility is kept clean, the people are nice and I am able to get a great work out.One of my favorite parts of the day is arriving and Gia at the front desk greeting me so kindly, she is such a breath of fresh air!

I’ve gained friends, confidence and learned crucial works out skills at the Y! You can’t beat the price!
