It’s taking me a few months to write this review, but I really felt it was necessary to do this. Sadly, I recently lost my six teen year-old Maltese. I could not have had a better experience than I had at Surfside. I purposely left my other vet when I knew my dog would not be with me forever because I wanted to have someone who truly cared and was kind to be with me when the time came. While sadly, the time came in June. Dr. Abadia and technician Stacey especially we’re so very very kind and patient with me. I had never experienced a pet passing before and they made the experience so humane and as positive as it possibly could be. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for taking such great and kind care of Toby and I. You guys helped me so much during a difficult time. Also, id like to say to anyone looking for a vet that I would highly recommend going to see Dr. Abadia . Thank you . Lisa C

I brought my eight-year-old Chihuahua into them and they did a thorough check up and was supposed to do a dental cleaning. They said he needed a teeth pulled. I agreed upon it. They pulled teeth and soon after his surgery. A lot of issues breathing coughing up water and I kept on bringing him back. I believe three different times and every time one guy said he’s an old dog another time he’s fine. He’ll live a long life. Just getting the runaround finally I brought them in. They said oh we have to put him down and then a girl comes in asking me. How much did I want to spend? I want to earn I want burial plot. I just wanted to treat the dog from the get-go after I went to them and they refused to the dog should’ve had a round of antibiotics before he had his Teeth pulled to make sure there was no infection going on in the gums. I give them a big fat F for not caring enough for my animal and blowing me off.

I am so happy to have found surfside. Dr Abadia and his staff are such incredible and kind people. They will love your pet like their own. I have had four of my animals treated there and have never once been disappointed. Their pricing is more than fair, and they will go above and beyond for your fur baby. Even in heartbreaking circumstances where I have had to euthanize, I was met with such compassion and love for my animals from the team here. I cannot reccomend them enough ?

Dr Abadia failed to fully remove the nail bed on a simple puppy dewclaw removal. At 5 mo. 1 has poked through and the other is bulging the skin. We contacted the office and over a couple days tried to get them to correct the botched surgery. I even offered to PAY for a spay and chip surgery and while she is under anesthesia he can do the corrective surgery at his expense - still doesn't want to correct his careless procedure. "Dr" Abadia is in violation of his AVMA code of ethics and demonstrates poor business practices. A good vet with ethics would have apologized this happed at all, and covered the corrective surgery. The breeder admitted she's had issues with him before and will not use him in the future. Find another vet...

Our family vet for over 10 years. Dr Americo is fantastic. He has helped us with several of our pets from their early checkups to the heartbreaking day when we had to euthanize. We could not ask for better service, and the people are top notch. Highly recommended.

Charming doctor, nice neighborhood, what could be bad ?. I've been going to Surfside for about 6 years and I'm a fool for staying that long. One screw up after another. Simply put Dr Abadia has shown total incompetence with ( my) 13yo dogs care. He's a hot mess on so many levels. Fed up and done.
