Gary was great! He was very helpful. They were able to get a line bent for me in only a few hours. Their pricing seemed very fair. I will definitely be coming back! Felt like one of those great small town shops that does amazing work at the friend and family prices. Places like that are hard to find these days.

Not the same as years past. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, bringing multiple different family cars here for various reasons. My last few visits have been disappointing in one way or another. Out of fairness to the company and our past business together I will not claim minor nuisances. However, the buildup to this last grievance, which I am making the review about, is the final reason I have to take my loyal business elsewhere. I had a routine oil change/vehicle checkup in the beginning of April. My car, like many others, has a skid plate/engine splash guard that needs to be removed to access the oil filter and drain the oil. I have good reason to believe that the technician who worked on my car did not reinstall it properly. Namely, the car was parked at an airport parking lot more than it was driven since being serviced, proveable by company expense reports. It had barely been driven, I had not hit anything, and I had not had any problems with it previously. Driving on 95 I heard it scrape, and then drag, as the front end dropped. Of course this happened on the weekend when the shop was closed. Due to this, I tried to resecure it myself. But the plate was too damaged from dropping on 95. When this was not an option, on Monday, I called Stuart Brake and Auto to tell them about the situation. I have never called to complain about any work they had done in our years of business. However, they could not commit to look at my car the next morning because they had a few other jobs. I understand having other business, but you would think when a loyal customer makes a rare complaint about previous work, you would try to fit them in. I was asked to leave my car in the morning and they’d get to it when they could. They could not even spare 5 minutes to verify my story was true and give me options. I know it would only take 5 minutes because I ended up taking my car somewhere else, without and appointment, 30 minutes before they closed, and they lifted my car to remove the dragging skid plate. My ultimate frustration lies in the fact that there was no respect for my time or previous business. It was even suggested that it was common for people to drive over concrete parking stops and I may have done the same. I assure you that a lot more of my car would have been damaged if that were the case. I tried to leave this review as fair as possible. The star rating is due to respect for past times. However, I will no longer be bringing my vehicles here.

Couldn’t ask for a nicer bunch of guys. Got my girlfriend’s mini Cooper in there right away and diagnosed it was just a coil told them to look over the whole vehicle. They could’ve picked it apart but they said it was in really good shape. Highly recommended. Well trusted guys.

We had a breakdown while traveling in the area. We had our car towed to Wallace Chevrolet for repair. They charged us 200 to diagnose. They came back wanting another $1000 to disassemble and further diagnose. Estimating the repair could be
$5000 +.citing things that were not even related.
We had our car towed to Stuart Brake and Auto.
Doug was super helpful explaining exactly the issue was. They straightened things out and had it back on the road the next day with total cost of $1000. Fair, honest folks.
Thanks to Doug and team!

Quoted $1200 for a new starter and battery. Took my car to another local repair shop. Got the job done for $450 for the starter and battery OK as is.

I got an estimate on a brake problem , they said, It needs fluid flush and it needs A caliper, Resurface a rotor. I paid almost $200 to get it diagnosed. Which I understand, but then that should be deducted - if you go forward with the service. Bottom line; what they wanted $2200 for, I got fixed by a professional in the area for $300. And no- it didn’t need everything that they said.

Took my jeep on Black Friday for assumption of my alternator being broken. They very kindly sat on the phone and explained possibilities and how to safely arrive to them. Upon arrival they quickly started on my car & within the hour called me back to let me know I had dead cells in my battery. They called auto zone where I previously purchased my battery & had it delivered & installed for me. Fantastic service will be recommending!

They are very knowledgeable and professional! Quality work.
I have been their customer for over 30 years. However, on this day I was only getting my oil changed and waited for my vehicle. They had other bigger projects to attend, and I was like a tiny job to them. I felt rather unimportant. I was asked to come in between 7:30 - 8am, and arrived at 7:33am… My car was ready after 9:30am and I felt that I was wasting their time. They do good work and probably want to focus on bigger projects.
