I got married over this last weekend, and I booked a room last minute and not only did they accommodate incredibly, but they were so hospitable and informative. There happened to be an art fest in downtown and they even had a whole map made up for easier access through the area. As a local in the area, it was my first time staying in a local hotel, and their beautiful cottages did not disappoint! I will be visiting and staying again, hopefully sometime in the near future!

If you stay in Stuart this the the place to go. I got a suite and it was a perfect location, very nice and clean and everyone was friendly. Also the entrance to the riverwalk and all the restaurants and bars is on the same street just a block away. I rode my scooter ?
Walkability: Near everything

Picturesque stay in Stuart, FL! The Old Colorado Inn has all the charm and character of an historical hotel with the cleanliness and attentive service no “chain” hotel can possibly match! Set in the heart of downtown Stuart, plenty of restaurant, coffee, shopping and beverage options within a couple minute walk. I suggest opening a window in the evenings, embrace the cool breeze of the St. Lucie River only steps away. Can’t wait to visit again!

I would give more stars if that were an option. From the moment we checked in, our stay was fantastic. Quaint and charming, quiet, but close enough to upbeat if you choose. Room was very clean, smelled fresh, and very well equipped. I loved the fact that there was a small kitchen, even a kuerig, a few coffee pods and creamers were there to start our day (I loved that I didnt have to leave the room to run for coffee in the morning). The location could not be better! Within a very short walking distance of everything we wanted to do and see. Every person we came in contact with on site was super friendly, from the owners, to housekeeping. Love the history of the property as well. We can't wait to return, and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Stuart.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Old Colorado Inn in downtown Stuart, Florida, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality from the staff. Actually, *BEFORE the moment I arrived, Steven and his son Chris were nothing short of exemplary to ensure I was putting my family in a winning position around his suggestion of a cottage.
The location of the hotel is simply perfect. Nestled right on the waterfront, the views of the sparkling Intercoastal were breathtaking. I loved walking down to the end of the block and strolling alongside their Riverwalk which runs along the water.
The cottage at the Old Colorado Inn is nothing short of luxurious, and includes a full kitchen. Our cottage was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with on-theme knickknacks and comfortable furnishings. The beds were incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day (and night) of exploring the charming town of Stuart and Elliot Museum on Hutchinson Island (about 10 minutes away on the beach).
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service. Steven and Chris went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They were always available to assist with any requests and offered great recommendations for local attractions and dining options.
The location of the resort also made it easy to explore Stuart and its many attractions. I had a wonderful time visiting the nearby beaches, shopping in the quaint downtown area, and taking a scenic tour to the parks.
Overall, my stay at the Old Colorado Inn was a dream come true. The combination of stunning views, luxurious accommodations, excellent amenities, and outstanding service made it a truly unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Stuart, Florida. I can't wait to return!

We stayed here for a family reunion and it was just perfect! All of us out-of-towners got our own houses for each family and because some were staying in the houses around the pool, we had pool access, which the kids loved. My family stayed in the Owl House and the location and accommodation was spectacular. Now, remember, these are old historic homes so expect creaky floors, squeaky doors, and general quirkiness. But it was just like staying in your well-maintained grandma's house, with daily housekeeping service. The best of VRBO with the best of a hotel. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked great (important for the middle of June), and we enjoyed the amenities. Highly recommend!

We wanted to get away for a couple days and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We were upgraded to a different suite and when we walked in, we were amazed at how huge it was. I loved the décor and reading the history of the building from a poster on the wall. Unfortunately it was raining most of our time, so we didn't get to enjoy the pool or really sit outside on one of the porches. They have a book with menus from most of the restaurants within walking distance. We also used the 25% off coupon at the little Italian restaurant next door. Trust me and get the meatball appetizer, you will thank me! All in all, the place was fabulous and we will be back soon!! Thank you for having us.
