I am newer to this area, and wanted to check out the craft/art selection at Michaels. I do a lot of shopping as I sell hand crafted items as local venues.For the most part, I was pleased with their selection. The 40% off of Christmas items was a nice plus.When I approached the cashier; I asked if I could apply for their credit card as I would have gotten another 40% off. The cashier had not offered that when my items were totaled. The gal said it would not count on that days visit. I was disappointed as my total was over $250. She did not offer anymore details, and seemed put out at my request. I later found out that I COULD have saved 40% and an extra 20%. Needless to say; this led to my 1 star review. I can't say that I will never return there, but it certainly won't be my "go to" place. Think some training in customer service is warranted!!!

They have everything you need for any project your doing, and several of the employees know where everything is in the store.I was looking for name tag attachments and the young lady at the register literally knew where 2 different items were, blew me away how she knew !

I love Michaels, usually. I can't go to this one anymore because I've been twice and each time I go the only woman at the checkout is so aggressive. I just want to buy my item, I don't want to sign up for anything and I get "so you don't like saving money?" "You know everyone already has your information anyway?"...WTH? I had to defend myself at length twice to this woman when I'm just trying to buy some dang felt. Maybe it's the stores fault for making her hit quotas, I don't know. But I'm uncomfortable ever going to that location again because there is no one else to check out with.

False online advertising regarding discounts if you give them your email and phone number. When you try to buy they refuse to give you discount. .Joanna much better to customers.

Matthew in the framing section was SO nice and helpful. There was an issue with one of my pieces and he really went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I appreciated that. Service like that goes very far in my book. His overall vibe and attitude are stellar. I hope Michael's takes care of employees like him. I would steal him to work at my company in a second lol it's hard to find people like that and it's rare for employees like him to be compensated and treated fairly at large corporate box stores.
