This is a lovely thrift store supporting a great cause. The prices are cheap; clothing ranges from 3-10$. The store utilizes "tags of the week" in which items of one tag color are 1.25 each and items of another color are 2.50 each. Items are mostly fogey, but there are a handful of trendy and timeless pieces as well. The staff was very friendly. The store is on the smaller size, but provides a wide variety of items- clothing, furniture, housewares, etc. This is a great spot to hunt for finds! Note: This review is based on one visit to the store in late March 2024.

Prices are crazy high there. For free stuff they got and free help volunteers. They shouldn’t be charging so much for items.

What is going on? I used to never leave there without spending money. Their prices are just CUCKOO lately! Come on people, the items are donated and they are sitting there for months because of the ridiculous prices.

Been going there for years however the prices have gone up and up most items are not worth the price for donated items. I just call it the Humane Society Boutique instead of thrift.

Use to donate stuff several times a year. They have gotten so picky. They want to pick and choose. I'm not going to drop off stuff to two different thrift stores. And no Christmas stuff sometimes. One small mark on a table. Won't pick up more than four boxes when doing a furniture pick-up. I'm giving up on them.

I drove up to the donation area and they would not take my items out of my car, no exceptions, I am physically limited, my husband loaded the car and he is also disabled so he was not with me, thank God their was someone behind me that would help. So if you can't remove your donations out of your car yourself do not go there. I did not even get a Thank You ?

Over the years, I've adopted 2 cats and 1 dog from the Humane Society. I donate money annually and have been contributing to this store for over 10 years. The Humane Society is near and dear to my heart. Today I tried to donate a Zero Gravity Lounge Chair which we were using up to the night prior. It worked fine but was the legs were rusting, more than I originally thought when I brought it in. The first woman that I encountered told me that they don't take my trash. I was offended and explained that it worked and I didn't realize it was as rusted as it was. The 2nd lady (boss) was much nicer and more tactful and said the buyers are fussy, etc. I get this and took it back. I think the employees should be trained not to be so rude. Sadly, I will not donate here again, due to one employee. Thank you.

The manager was extremely rude when asked to look at a few times she had near the back. There was an entire rack I was interested in looking at; when I asked if she minded if I looked at it she snapped back at me stating I could not look at it becuase she was not ready to price it. I was taken aback and apologized. It was very unfortunate becuase there were many items I was interested on the rack and wanted to help support the animals. I would not recommend this location.

Great clothes - clean store - really good prices, especially for designer clothes. Some things even still have the tags on!

Funds from this thrift store goes to supporting the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC) which was founded in 1955. According to their web site "It is the only open access, no-kill animal welfare organization operating in Martin County". Every year they find homes for 3,000 animals and since being founded they have helped over 350,000 animals. They provide pet adoptions, spay and neuter services, county licensing, community TNVR, education, pet therapy, and obedience training. All of my pets through the years including my current two best buddies have been rescues so I have a particular affinity for this type of charity and I make a point of stopping when ever I see a thrift store that helps my furry friends. The HSTC operates this thrift store in Stuart that is listed as central and they have a north Stuart store located at 1099 NE 21st St. Inside the store was one large room with merchandise that included holiday decorations and costumes, home goods, clothing, accessories, a small amount of furniture, and books. In addition to shopping here they also gratefully accept your donations at the rear of the store between the hours of 10 and 4. This organization really puts your money to good use so please consider supporting their efforts to save pet lives by both shopping here and donating to them.
