My name is James Gregory Stokes and I would like to thank Following doctors with the success of my illness I had stage three non-Hodgkin’s lymph Cancer with the help of Dr. Sheikh and Dr. Mohammadi which is my primary care I am in remission for over a year and a half if and when were these doctors with their influence in their care it gave me a lot of hope to beat this cancer but the main person I want to thank his God for putting these two doctors in my life by the way this is my second time having cancer that First was Renal Cancer Bay Pines is awesome

I just had an endoscopy in the gastroenterology department. My last one was 10 years ago at the Nashville VA. I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism, friendliness and thoroughness at Bay Pines from start to finish. It was SO superior to my previous procedure. Two thumbs up!

Begged a friend go to the ER today and he was treated without any empathy whatsoever. Had to explain his personal situation in front of other patients. It took me a long while to get him to seek help. After calling Bay Pines and being told to send him through the ER for the best results he was turned away. He drove over an hour to get there. Horrible nurse, Anecia Pearson. Since when do nurse evaluate a patient? Vets need to be respected. Their injuries come from protecting this country. What a disgrace this ER is and that awful nurse.

The wife and I were up last week for a consultation. I have to say the difference between this place and the VA hospitals in Chicagoland is night and day. We got in fast, helpful staff moved us in the right direction. The department staff and doctors were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. My first impression of Bay Pines is a very positive one. I won't mind driving up here from Punta Gorda if the service is always this good.

Always taken care. I have no issues, they found my prostrate cancer when my civilian Dr said they were showing no signs so very greatful for that.Receiving radiation now and every one is is very great in there treatment of all the patients, top of the line equilment.Very happy with the services.

ISMET SAIFULLAH By far is the worst doctor I've ever had. She doesn't understand english or she doesn't speak english well enough to know what you're talking about. I told her my wrist had been hurting. I needed it to be looked at by somebody who actually knew what I was saying. And I'm not being rude I am being factual. Which is even sad to me to say. But let's call a spade a spade. She told me nothing was wrong with my wrist as far as she could tell. But after I add an m r I i not only have a torn ligament but I also have a cyst and its sitting on top of my artery. But this has been going on since december. Because the battle has been over her english. I have been swept to the side countless times. Do yourself a favor if you're a woman and find a different place to go.

Bay Pines V.A Saint Petersburg FL About the Facility: Stay Away. If you seek treatment for any type of Combat related or S.A. then This is not the place for you. Their staff is ill prepare and poorly train. There is no privacy when it comes to disclose your medical history. Most Doctors at this particular hospital are past their retirement age. If you still decide to seek treatment for any type of combat related or SA then the most you going to get assign to you is a 'Case Workers' that even the ER staff wants nothing to do with the old lady, or a Nurse assign to your case. Yea you hear that right. They have nurses doing the job of Specialty Doctors because they're short on Staff. The nurses like to pass judgement or make diagnoses far from their line of expertise. Also Stay Away from "Dr. Estefano" again Stay away from Estefano. she's not a real doctor. The V.A. had her assign to work with combat vets and SA victims but she's far off from that type of expertise and line of work that's need it to work with combat vets. The nurses have to cover for her because she lacks the credentials to work with vets. I am making these statements as unbiased as possible. In all seriousness if you have a friend who's a vet or a love one or yourself Do not attend this hospital. Make the long trip to Orlando or some other place in Florida; or if you that serious about your health that constantly needs medical treatment then plan on relocating.

Mixed feelings about this VA. The PTSD program helped me but 2 guys in my group committed suicide within a year after d/c. The doctor was terrible. He cut my blood pressure meds in half and changed my trazadone (for sleep) which caused my b/p to get very high. 380/290. I couldn't sleep and he cut off my insulin.i asked him to change my meds back twice and he refused. I went to the head of pharmacy and got that switched back. His name is Dr Later and I hope he is gone from there.

Since my last review, the Bay Pines VA hospital has resurrected my faith in them. The Community Care has done a wonderful job helping with filings, phone calls but could be faster at getting my authorization paperwork out to me faster. But, I have to say, they have come a long ways and I am now happy to work with them again. Keep up the great job.

Seriously, they just don't care. Went in for emergency dr appt to handle a huge list of issues. Communication is horrible, no urgency in making appointments for scans and tests. I felt that those were important and we should had that done right there and then. Nope. Left on Thursday it's Monday no call back yet. Called to schedule myself for my husband and the phone system is the WORST EVER!! I go in circles and circles I can only get help lady who redirects me. And I get hung up on I hit the number for choice to be redirected it doesn't go through. You just can't get to person you need to.This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!This is for veterans and their issues and half can't go through this process of their dealing with issues how can you focus and be patient to deal with this Garbage system. How in 2022 does the VA not have a simple phone service. Be directly to who ever or what ever sept you need to. I feel like I'm calling Nothing. I'm pist. My husband dealing with his problems and we need to get stuff done.We were there on Thurs day and a guy was begging the lady at counter for help in getting appt for his eye. They outsource to these idiot dr office who do not communicate with VA properly and he's in limbo. He has eye retina barely hanging on been through 3 surgeries needs last one to fix can't get appointment just run around and not at any time he can go blind in that eye for good because VA and Subs Peps DONT CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES AND WHAT THEY GET OUT OF IT!!Disgusting My husbands loosing his mind has serious issues and they send me home with him. He has been also since last Sept (2021) been trying replace tooth they put in before Covid. It broke and they needed to replace its July and still getting run around. This country is Garbage I'm tired of people looking out for themselves first or a way to scam someone. Politicians wanna scare people with one word that will scare voters into their agenda.Fact is- greed and lazy and not caring are killing people. Ignorance is killing. A system needs to work and people need to be trained and cared for. That guys ganna go blind because no one is helping him!My husband might just Die because the system has me going in circles.It's Wrong
