horrible horrible horrible. I can’t wait for the day a competing gas company opens in st Pete and these guys lose half their customer base. People only use them bc they HAVE to. You have to jump through hoops just to get any work done.

Less than 6 months ago, TECO made me spend hundreds of dollars to drill through the wall to have direct ventilation from the regulator to the outside because "not enough ventilation" in the room outside of my house. 2 weeks ago they ran a new gas line and moved the meter IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE! Checking with state and local governments to find the legality and safety concerns.

Absolutely the worst they came out to fix my gas line at the meter and never turned my gas back on they come out today I'm in my house never bother knock on the door that leave a note on the front door and now I can't get my gas turned back on till Monday after the holidays that's 11 days without hot water good job people's gas you good you can bite me

As a resident of Shore Acres, one is generally aware of our tidal surges that submerge some of our streets. Fellow residents usually are aware of this and show common courtesy when navigating our flooded streets by avoiding, as best we can, the standing salt water in the streets. As a utility company, TECO Peoples Gas and its service technicians should be even more keenly aware of this fact. Nonetheless, this afternoon several cars were slowly navigating around a large submerged area near the intersection of Bayou Grande and Venetian Blvd when a TECO Peoples Gas pick up truck accelerated through an area with over a foot of water - spraying salt water on several cars awaiting their turn to navigate the water. I can only hope that was a new employee who was not aware that was salt water he rudely sprayed on everyone's car. However, I doubt that was the case.

Contacting them to get a new gas installation, you get the impression they really don't want any more business! Going from free installation of you commit to gas hot water to now charging several hundred dollars to do the same installation seems like they are discouraging any new customers. Then, once they get the order they'll tale SIXTEEN WEEKS to schedule the installstion?!! Wow. Why bother??Unfortunately we planned and purchased some equipment before we found out how bad TECO was.Personnel ate polite. That's the only reason for 2 stars.

Maybe I got lucky, but I received excellent service from TECO. I called and let them know that I wasn’t getting any gas. An hour later a nice gentleman came with his truck and got things going. He was very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised in a world where service seems to be going down the toilet.

absolutely the worst gas company on the face of the earth.they wont send you a paper bill.But they send you a notice thats back dated so they can turn your gas off and collect the reconnect fee..no wonder they have a 2.8 on google...ceo makes millions and we get hijacked for reconnect fees.solar power will free us all from all utility providers...

Hello, is anyone working at this company?Can't find a phone number to reach a person. All published numbers default to a fully automated phone system that is NOT user friendly and offers limited choices for service assistance, then when you select an option, you hear another automated menu with additional choices, and so on.... What happened to speaking with a real human. I finally found an emergency number and they transferred me to customer service and I have now been on hold for over 20 minutes, and still on hold, as I write this review. I wish I had a choice of gas providers, I would definitely look into changing providers. I've now been on hold for more than 30 minutes and I'm hanging up. I have no confidence that anyone will ever answer my call.

Marcus is the best !! He came to my house on an emergency call and I couldn’t be happier with him!! Teco People’s Gas is extremely lucky to have such an amazing employee!!

My friend had a gas leak in her apartment building, and we could smell gas faintly. Granted, this was late at night and we had no faith TECO would come out this late. The representative who answered the phone was so helpful and gave us all safety instructions. The technician Marcus got there within the hour and was so efficient in finding the source of the leak. I could tell he really cared about helping people and keeping us safe, and he made sure to explain everything as he went. He was also super friendly and made us feel comfortable the whole time. Super glad we called because there was actually a leak and he was able to get it fixed.

It would be less than one star if I could. I signed up in the middle of February. The TECO Partners Account Manager was very helpful and in contact with me during the signing of the hook up. Right after that NO COMMUNICATIONS with her. She failed to return calls and emails. I was told by a technician at my house that he will be back to install the meter, the week of April 4th. Well, the week of the 11th they installed the pipe to the location, without the meter. I made several calls and emails to complete the meter install. As of Friday, the 16th I received a call instructing me to have someone home Monday, 19th that they will be there to finish. The 19th came and gone with no call from TECO. I waited all day on Tuesday and another "No Show". I called and emailed again. I got a scheduled morning appointment between 8 and 12 for the 21st. Again, another NO SHOW and no communication between TECO and the customer, until I again called them. Customer Service stated that he would be here later in the day. I am waiting at this point. They haven’t completed the job yet, but I am so mad I needed to report this in their rating, not that they care.I came to them for a product and service. Almost any other company would have a drive to satisfy a customer for their business when they knock on their door for business. In Massachusetts, I called the local gas company and had gas less then a week.Here’s the problem I have with them as of yet:1. I had to hunt someone from TECO down to attempt to havethis install completed.2. I spent over three thousand dollars in appliances and piping to havethem. Now, I am stuck with them.3. I spent countless hours in queue on hold to talk to customer service with agents that were not properly trained to help customers.As I see it, they are a monopoly in this area and careless about the customer here.
