If you want wildly unreliable service, outages for 6+ hours on a daily basis, zero customer support or help with issues, and overall an extremely poorly managed entity that provides a service, then Spectrum is for you.
It is baffling this company is even in business with loyal customers at this point. My new provider is installing in a week and I’ll be switching over… I cannot wait.
Stay far, FAR away from Spectrum and its internet services; you’ll be highly upset if not.

I have overall been very happy with Spectrum. Customer Service has been awesome and things have been fine overall. Unfortunately we just got hit by Helene and Milton back to back and have been without Internet for far more than a reasonable amount of time. We have had power and water back for several days and are trying to get back to life as normal. We lost our fence and had a lot of damage around the outside of the house. We can not connect with family online, we can not look for companies to help us get our home back in order. My husband works from home and I do part time, we can not work and we need to work to pay for the labor to fix our property. I have no reliable way to look for a hotel, connect with people that I love, complete my studies, anything. We have been told it was fixed days and days ago. It has been one broken promise/ lie after another. They say 8,000 people are working on this?? I have seen ONE truck on the road. ONE!!!! We ae hot spotting for the basics and it is negaqtively affecting everything. Life revolves around the internet these days and Spectrum does not seem to care at all. They have been rude to my husband and ZERO percent of what they have said has been true. We have had power back for nearly a week and still no internet. It is really hard to get back to normal and hire help for the projects we need when there is no internet. St Pete is hurting and Spectrum does not seem to care, does not seem to be trying. How have I seen one truck, why is there a need to be rude to customers that need to work??? Power trucks from TX have been heros- Spectrum has been a big ZERO. How can there be that many workers and I have seen one truck. I use internet to take care of my demented mother... NOTHING I need is working and the worst part is you do not seem to care.

I've been using their internet and phone services for two years, mainly because they were the only provider available in the 33716 area. I just called to inform them that I'm moving out of state and will be canceling the service on October 1st, giving them 25 days' notice. They're telling me I'll be charged for the full month on the 12th, with no refund for the extra two weeks. I've never experienced this kind of billing trap with any other service providers.
Btw, their billing increased by $20 after the first year. Their mobile service is awful, with almost no signal most of the time, even in Florida. I’ll be canceling both services on the 30th.

Two years later, now 8-30-2024, I need to talk to a agent to change service because of the outrageous rate hike. I've been on hold after getting live person for 45 minutes as of now. 20 minutes prior after being disconnected on a transfer. what a monopoly! Too many problems with them for the 5 years I had with them. During the time I had with them, the cable boxes all had the same issue. I replaced one box with the one I am using now. Same problem, it doesn't record the show or doesn't record it fully. By the screen indicates that it did record, but when playing it you just get a black screen or only a portion of the recording. You call them and the same story... unplug the cable box for 30 seconds, plug back in. Then wait and and see if it reoccurs, and when it fails again, we need to exchange the box at their location across the city and wait because we did not make a appointment to exchange the box with another (refurbished) box. Now I wasted a half a day, not counting the time with the automated call distribution system and then put in queue for a agent, (if not disconnected) to tell you the same thing, unplug the box, see if it happens again, exchange it, etc. What ever happened to the serviceman who was dispatched to your home to troubleshoot the problem? Well, now we the customer are the troubleshooters. It's about I don't care if it works or not, we're not going to get off out butts to help you, but we hope you heard our recording while in queue on how to make a direct payment for your service so it will be quicker and easier for us. This is too crazy to make up.

I signed up for internet at a good deal . Was offered a cell phone for free for a year. Got the service, the internet is spotty but it may suit your needs . I cannot recommend their phone service. It works ok, especially for the price but all day and night I am bombarded with Spam calls. Constantly. I had 4 other service providers and this was never an issue until now so Spectrum must be selling phone numbers (my friend also has their service...same thing)I will continue to use it since it is free but once my year is up I won't be reupping with them. It so bad my phone rings constantly which is problematic when you are at work. They should disclose that they are doing this before you shell out the money for a new phone ( the one requirement).

Had Spectrum Wifi for years along with Spectrum mobile which I still have but not for much longer. I moved out of my residence and called to find out how to disconnect my services and return my equipment.
At that time their customer service rep informed me that by doing this my mobile monthly service would go up $20. I originally only had wifi for yrs before moving to their cell service so was confused why disconnecting Wi-Fi had anything to do with my mobile.
He explained that if I just suspended my service and paid $5 bucks a month until I was ready to reconnect I could keep my monthly Mobil rate. I agreed, he set me up till Oct.
All to find out a few months later that if someone else connects Spectrum services in my old residence I lose the deal. Now I’m getting threatening calls that I’m going to be sent to collections for not returning their equipment which is somewhere packed in a box in a 10x20 storage I can not get to. My bill is paid off, their customer service IS COMPLETELY RUDE. I tried explaining to them what their reps told me. I told them the equipment is fine and as soon as I can physically get to it they will have it. Really can’t find any decent customer service people these days. They’re all miserable and obviously very underpaid. Hopefully they will be bought out soon.

Called this morning and Jason ( St.petersburg ) without any doubt he's the best representative for spectrum. His knowledge and caring was great. I felt better taking with him and he fixed the problem. Thanks

Be aware, Spectrum cable TV is the most expensive of all the cable providers in the St. Pete area. For example, the cost for a DVR is $12/mo for renting the DVR PLUS, $12/mo for the service! That is over $26/mo including tax! DTV & Xfinity are less.

Beware of the price multiplier after the first year. You'll be paying 4x as much as any other company provider
