I just have a give credit to this wonderful bank. Every time I step in, it’s always a warm welcome no matter what. I was upset with a discrepancy with my car loan, and immediately it was handled and clarified to me. I obviously misunderstood, but I was treated with so much love. Andre one of the managers is absolutely phenomenal. He brought my grandmother and into his office , explained the situation and clarified it with me with such grace. My grandmother was so impressed, she ended up opening an account as well. I just want to thank you Navy Federal for everything your company has done for me from the start when I joined in 2018.

I recently transferred my accounts from another credit union to Tyrone Navy Federal.A complication occurred, and it appeared my credit would nosedive after 50 years of being perfect.I saw the branch manager Andre, who spent quite a few hours over two weeks working on my problem.Just when I was about to give up on this, Andre called me and announced that the problem was resolved and my credit was restored.I'm sure if Andre did not persist there would have been a completely different outcome.I am truly grateful for the excellent customer service I received at Tyrone Navy Federal.

Rode my bike here from across town to use the ATM to deposit come cash. Despite trying 6 times the ATM was giving me the “transaction failed, returning cash” message. Great. Can’t even perform a simple deposit transaction. Complete waste of my time. Nice job Navy Fed!!

On August 12, 2023 I went into a Navy Federal Credit Union (2172 Tyrone Blvd N Saint Petersburg, Florida 33710) around 10 am to withdraw funds that had cleared on my account for a life insurance claim for my late wife. I originally came through the drive up teller lane and was advised that I needed to come inside to withdraw funds for the requested amount, I then parked and went inside to proceed with the transaction. I spoke with the representative Sara a she proceeded to get my Identification and have me swipe my debit card. It took her a substantial amount of time before she proceeded to tell me that I had to do further verification before receiving my funds. I waited for about 30-35 minutes as I watched Sara on the computer as it appeared that she was google researching information concerning my check. Nancy who stated she was the Assistant manager, told me that my funds had been placed on hold due to the check image appearing to be altered and not appearing to match other checks from the company and also stating checks from the company in questioned had been returned often due to not being legitimate; however the customer representative via phone stated that per Nancy’s notes she deemed my request for funds suspicious because of the timeframe I attempted to repay my debt to Davis and Davis Funeral Services. I returned to the facility close to 1130-12 to speak with Nancy again regarding the reasoning for her decision to mark my account as fraud, her attitude was very nonchalant and passive aggressive as I explained my frustration with their branch flagging my account and withholding my funds as I was five hours from my residence. I felt racially profiled as Sara made me feel uncomfortable from the start of the transaction of my funds and Nancy’s accusations of me submitting a fraudulent check. This facility questioned me about a check they physically had no access to and then deemed my check as fraudulent because of the amount requested when the amount deposited was a lot higher than the requested amount in cash and had already been cleared for access. I am very disappointed as I have been a member with them for years and the fact that I was flagged for suspicious behavior due to a life insurance check from my late spouse that I had deposited 3 days prior at another branch had cleared! The assistant manager had no valid reason to assume that my check was fraudulent as her employee never physically deposited my check and to flag my account as I am 5 hours away from home with no other funds is obscured.

Useless location. Unable to "help". I love that vets are still getting the shaft.Edit for teller id: C1703 should probably seek employment elsewhere.

NOT VETERAN FRIENDLY. I've only been a Customer for less than two years, but I find Navy Federal anything but Veteran Friendly. They took over two weeks to get me a denial decision on my mortgage application while two others Veterans United and Rocket got me preapprovals within two "days". It shouldn't surprise me they quickly denied my auto loan too. I briefly filed for bankruptcy when I lost my job during covid, but had the court voluntarily dismiss it when I got a new job. My credit score is 700+, good enough for all other Lenders, but not Navy Federal. Save your time!

My entire family is with NFCU and I was convinced to join due to their certificates. I opened three accounts over the phone; myself and my two sons. I added a checking to mine with intention of moving my services primarily to them. Opened a certificate for each of us. They asked for routing and account numbers to auto draft funds from my other credit unions to fund the new accounts. I asked if I could use saving account numbers and was told yes. I have all the details. 10 days ago by; no deposits. I finally call and I'm told they didn't work because it has to come from a checking. And now NFCU has charged me "return check fees" on all three savings accounts. Also, they decided to auto close my son's accounts. No one ever called me at all. Then I'm told there's an issue with my account in general due to not being able to verify my social.... You know, the social I've had for 37 years of my life. So I do verification paperwork and submit it. I took my time to get a cashier's check (good as cash) from my current credit union and took it into the branch to fund all accounts (they cannot reopen my son's accounts until the social verification completes in 3-5 business days). I'm told there will be a one day hold on my cashier's check. Whatever at this point. The next day, I get an email that my cashier's check will now be held for FIVE business days. After calling three times I'm told it's because the original auto transfers to fund the account didn't go through (because THEIR rep told me we could use a savings account which was not true) and to ensure my funds are LEGITIMATE (like I'm a criminal) they're holding it for five days. Un-be-lievable. And I was told the certificates would be dates for the day I called in to open them and once funded the interest would be back dated. Now that's not even happening. But I was offered a "gift card" of undisclosed amount for my "troubles" that they didn't actually give me. My submarine Lieutenant Commander grandfather, who got us this "perk" of membership, would not be happy to hear any of this. God rest his soul.

Never bank here. This is for the rich and elite only. They fee you to death and take your money and force pay your debt without permission.
