This review is all about Marie who is one of the agents in the office.
Recently I decided to leave my long time insurance company because the service turned bad and the prices were just too high - I knew I could do better. I heard State Farm had decent rates and they actually had offices with real life people. So I found the office nearest me and gave them a ring.
Marie picked up. She is the nicest and most patient person I ever could have hoped for. She took the time with me over the next couple of weeks. She was not persistent at all. She won me over with her calm demeanor, insurance knowledge, excellent follow up and late hours. Even if I paid a tiny bit more then one of those GEICO type of places, who cares? I am super happy that I made the choice to go with State Farm and the agent that I now refer to as “Sweet Marie” – she is someone I know will always pick up.
I shouldn’t need anything for a while since I just signed up for both Auto and Condo insurance for the year, but I am 100% confident that if I ever do need them they will help me out right away.

I worked with Marie out of Mimi's office and she was an absolute delight. I had to switch over to Florida insurance from out-of-state which I thought would be a strenuous process, but Marie made it quick and easy. She helped me get coverage that was comparable to my previous out-of-state institution, but at a much better price. Marie is amazing!

I've been with State Farm for car & home for about 40 years in various parts of the country, and with this office in DTSP for about 7 years (through 1 or 2 agent changes). Mimi is great, and so is her team. Their current 2nd floor office on Central Ave is fun, with airplane seating (literally) and stuff to occupy kids. Not that you usually need to go to the office since everything can be done online these days, including a claim I made a couple of years ago after hitting a deer. That process went very smoothly.
Originally State Farm underwrote my condo insurance through Citizens, but Citizens canceled me a few years ago as part of the "depopulation" effort to decrease the number of FL residents insured with one company. Since my building's structure is insured by the HOA, I decided to self-insure the "studs-in" content of my unit. Mimi's team helped set up my policy appropriately so I still have liability coverage.
