This three-month-old antique store is twenty-five hundred square feet of BEAUTIFUL mid-century furniture! That's L---A---R---G---E! Also included is mid-century lighting & wall decor. Ingrid & husband Mick have staged the showroom perfectly, adding touches of modern decor to complement the sleek, clean lines of furniture from the 50's thru the 70's. SHOULD YOU LOVE MID-CENTURY FURNITURE, THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO BE! (Phone or email first--
[email protected]) Once you arrive for your scheduled appointment, you'll be greeted by some big names in furniture from the mid-century period, but many pieces are brandless-- nevertheless EXQUISITE. Their condition is usually excellent. Any piece w/ a flaw is identified; this husband & wife team present their findings honestly. Some furniture will not be on the showroom floor; it awaits refinishing & at times new upholstery. You may want to request a glimpse. Ingrid continuously scours the internet for quality furniture to add to their collection. Every piece you'll see in the store was acquired within a 1.5 hour radius. Often while Ingrid remains behind to handle business & greet scheduled patrons, Mick & the couple's adult daughter travel to retrieve furniture that will soon occupy space on the floor. Some of it is from individual sellers while others originate @ estate liquidations & sales. Im Vintage is truly a locally-owned, family business-- & definitely worthy! This location opened in 2021. Prior to that time, much of the merchandise you see today was housed in thirteen storage units. Currently open Monday thru Sunday from 8 AM to 6 PM, YOU MUST PHONE or EMAIL to arrange an appointment. There are NO WALK-INS; the door remains locked. Do not let the neighboring businesses concern you; the majority of them open late in the evening. When we arrived during the morning hours, not one was open. No shipping is offered; however, if a customer arranges his/her own shipping thru uShip, Ingrid will happily work w/ the shipping company. Preferred payment is Venmo; Cash App; & cash. However, if absolutely necessary, credit card payments are accepted thru Square. If it's a purchase discount you seek & request, you may get lucky & receive a $25 to $50 discount, but don't expect it. Appropriate pricing has already been carefully determined. Should you arrive here looking for amazing vintage bargains, you will be disappointed; this is not an antique mall w/ multiple vendors & varying level of quality. But if you know the worth of popular mid-century furniture & appreciate quality pieces, you'll be very happy you scheduled an appointment. We have no regrets even though neither of us made a purchase-- this time. I enjoyed talking w/ the owners, browsing the immense collection of beautiful pieces, & thinking about all the return trips I'll make here from the Tampa area. But prior to making the drive, I'll follow 'Im Vintage' on One Stop Mid Century Shop of Florida (a Facebook group). That's where antique-lovers will likely see the newest arrivals. Kudos Ingrid & Mick on a GORGEOUS collection of Mid-century furniture!
