Astonishing lack of professionalism. When you walk into a supposedly high-end auction house and the first question they ask is how much you think your item is worth, you need to beware. In my opinion this place is little better than a pawn shop with delusions of grandeur.

Today my husband and I went to Hess Fine Art in St Petersburg. We had two oil paintings from around 1810 to ask questions about. The staff were so very friendly and welcoming. Mr Hess and Daniel were absolutely brilliant in finding out information about the paintings. We learned a lot and had a lot of questions answered. We recommend them to anyone needing their expert advice or have questions about the value of some items.

I will never go to another jeweler again, for I have found a true gem.
Jeffrey Hess was once named in Forbes Magazine with the likes of Christie’s Auction House and the head of Tiffany’s - a true visionary of the jewelry and watch industry.
Even so, Mr. Hess remains humble and kind. He treats everyone who walks into his store like they are worthy of the same value and dignity. Whether you come in with rags or riches, Mr. Hess and his entire staff’s kindness knows no bounds. Throughout my encounters here, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Steven, Alex, Anthony, and Kyla. Each staff member is polite, dedicated, and proficient.
I feel confident knowing that I am getting an honest price, thoughtful expertise, and top dollar for my items. Hess Fine Art beats all the other competitors in the area and I’m confident that you’ll come to find that out too!

I bought an item from Hess Fine Arts Mar 5, 2024 on Ebay. HFA was a pleasure to do business with. They are very customer friendly. I promptly paid, they promptly shipped, and I received my item on Mar 9, 2024 in Charlotte, NC. Couldn’t be any better than that! Telephoned in several times leaving detailed messages/questions for the Hess staff about an item for sale and then left voice messages for the boss Mr. & Mrs. HESS...NOBODY bothered to call back!Looking over their Google reviews, I see similar comments, concerns and complaints. Life is too short to get POOR customer service.!!!UNNECESSARY!!!!!BEWARE!!
