I was a patient for about two years for BHRT. I first saw Binsey Babu and started with troches (oral lozenge). I wasn't asked to return for lab work to assess levels and finally asked myself six months after starting. The follow up nearly turned argumentative when I was told I must be doing something in my diet causing Estrone to skyrocket when in reality it was caused by oral testosterone converting to Estrone. This is a common phenomenon and should have been known by the practice. I switched delivery methods as well as providers within the practice due to issues with her medical assistant and the argumentative nature of the visit. Since then, each provider has left as well as several medical assistants. Had I stayed, I would be on provider #5. That in and of itself is disconcerting to a patient but along the way it was just painful getting prescriptions sent to the pharmacy or written for me to pick up. Multiple times it took them 1 1/2 - 2 weeks to get the correct drug sent to the pharmacy. After speaking with the medical assistant (different one than previously mentioned) about delays with prescription sent to pharmacy, she alleged never having heard back from the pharmacy regarding any issues. I called the pharmacy who read to me every interaction they had through their electronic prescription system. It would seem the medical assistant was lying about the delays. After finally receiving the prescription, I lowered the prescribed dosage and increased frequency knowing it was written far too high and too infrequent. Each of the PAs has to consult with the doctors because they themselves don't know about BHRT. I asked for injectable testosterone at the beginning since I was converting it with the delivery method I was taking and you would have thought I had asked for crack. Really! I couldn't get an answer from Ms Babu's medical assistant, Heather, for the longest time as to how to proceed if they didn't want to prescribe injectable - only that they wouldn't do it which wasn't helpful. I, the patient, finally came up with a solution by suggesting topical testosterone but that's not working out for me either. This was where we left things when I left the practice. It's not just the Physician Assistants and medical assistants, the front desk staff is a revolving door of different faces. They need to attract employees who will stay and that's either better management or better salaries or both. A revolving door of employees is noticed by patients. I'm saddened because their holistic approach is desperately needed these days and I want to be a patient, but they're just too disorganized.

Horrible 35 second session with physician. Physician was beyond RUDE. There was no level of care provided. Those seconds included a yank to the skin around the eye without warning, without allowing me to remove glasses, AND on an eye that is recovering from retinol surgery. One star was earned because the office staff was pleasant.

As someone who practices holistic healthcare and wellness, and avoided doctors for years, this is by far the best experience with doctors I've ever had. I have never felt safer, more seen and heard. If you're looking for people to give you true health and wellness recommendations with individualized care, go here. I couldn't recommend them more.

Too busy now to care about patients. I needed my hormones tested and they tested everything except for the hormones I needed tested. I didn't find this out until after I no longer had health insurance. So, I got them done in Mexico where it's actually affordable. They refilled one of my hormones, but I can't get anyone to refill my hormone prescription after several messages on the portal and phone calls. This is unacceptable.

I am so fortunate to have found Docs Outside The Box. I did have a 30 minute wait, otherwise would give 5 stars...however, it was the first morning after a long weekend, so I was not upset at all. Happy to be treated so well: great staff, courteous, kind, concerned for my needs. I have found "My Docs"

I've always had a good experience with the Drs & I LOVE their holistic approach. In addition, I'm a vegan and have done my own research on what I think best for my body and the Planet, and although they don't always agree with my food choices, they support me. I've been with them for years and believe they are growing so sometimes have a bit of training issues.

When I began with this office a couple of years ago, they couldn't have been nicer or more on top of things. They made appointments which they kept on time and Binzi took a ton of time to really get to know my history and health. Since then, they make appointments that they cancel at the last minute or make you wait more than 30 min even if you are the 1st appt of the day. The most recent disappointment resulted from a telemedicine appt that I waited a half hour and finally called then waited on the phone for another 15 min. This was for a bloodwork review that lasted approx 10 min and involved a sales pitch for their supplements. Then I was left on hold for another 15 min supposedly to speak with the front desk and I finally hung up. So I wasted more than an hour for a 10 min sales pitch which they charged me $128.00. It's truly unfortunate as I prefer a holistic approach but not at the expense of my time and money. I did attempt to notify the office of my dissatisfaction but the email address that I had for grievances is no longer working.

I would have left zero stars but that is not an option. We encountered problems from the first visit. Lab draws were unprofessional. They lost my blood samples resulting in another unnecessary lab draw. They caused my to have a hematoma. They make clients come in to review normal labs to generate more revenue. Staff is not professional. No introduction of names, etc. Overall, this is the worst practice I have ever been to and they try to oversell supplements to generate more income. PAs handle visits and they charge more to see a MD. Since the MDs work in tandem, they charge for two providers. They overcharged me for visits even after I asked to not run through my insurance. This resulted in me paying more than if someone has no insurance. They violated HIPAA by leaving other client’s information when I was having a test. I brought this to the practice management’s attention. Portal had messages from last year that were deleted but not by me. I do not recommend this banana republic practice. Also, they took my BP and gave me the results of a very high reading. I had to ask for it to be taken by the PA manually which resulted in a perfectly normal reading. Had I not asked for that, they would have recorded the abnormal value. This is very concerning!!

My insurance company literally told me "their system is broken, make sure you do not give them any more money".We hit our out of pocket maximum at the hospital when my son was born. Then we started going to Kids Outside the Box, part of Doctors Outside the Box. Despite being told over and over that we hit our out of pocket maximum, they kept charging me every visit. After this happened the third or fourth time I called them and they said they would stop doing that and reverse the charges.Next time we went they charged me again. Holy smokes. Called them back, they demanded to know who i talked to last time because it was all wrong. I told the lady, who didnt introduce herself when she answered the phone, that i had no idea who i talked to last time because it's clearly not their policy to identify themselves when they answer the phone. She didn't like that and said i had to call my insurance company and hung up.Called my insurance company, and they told me "their system is broken, make sure you do not give them any more money". Filed a claim with the insurance company. Called Docs back and gave them the claim number and told them they had to refund my charges and stop charging me copays. Told me they'd look into it.Another visit, another charge. This is getting insane. They won't see your kid unless they have your credit card on file.I must have called them every day for two weeks. They stopped answering my calls, and kept sending me bills. You might think, well maybe its worth the billing nightmare if they provide good pediatric care. They don't. They kept trying to give my son shots he wasn't old enough to receive (jokes on me for reading the national schedule for shots), they would ask us the same question 4 or 5 times in the same visit like they were stoned or something, they once got my son's name wrong while reading his chart. Made me question which room they were supposed to be in. One time when my son was 3 or 4 weeks old he got sick and was running a fever of 99.9, which according to their paperwork a fever of 100 is very serious and needs immediate attention. They told me that he's fine, "he is just a little furnace." Your paperwork says he isn't fine. Make up your mind.At this point, my wife was very upset and left a negative review. We were shopping for a new doctor but hadn't found one yet so she gives them one last chance. Big mistake because THIS IS WHEN IT GETS WEIRD. The owner of the business, Dr. Leah Teekell-Taylor (who at this point had never met me or my wife, but knew my wife's name from the review), pulls my wife into a patient room with our baby (I was not there this time) closes the door and scolds my wife for leaving a bad review. This doctor blocked the door with her body and locked my wife and baby in a room to yell at her. My wife was crying in the corner of the room covering an also crying baby while this doctor screamed at her for leaving a bad review.I wonder if Dr. Leah Teekell-Taylor would have given me the same treatment or if this only happened because she thinks it's ok to bully 4'10" tall women. You're lucky I don't have the money to sue you.
