Looking for LVP flooring, haven't been able to find the right color/texture at the big box stores, so starting to look at carpet & flooring stores. Bob's had a good variety over LVP, possibly one or two that might work in our space. The salesman was very helpful, explained where things were, let us look around without interrupting, and checked back every so often. All in all we had a good experience with Bob's and they are in the running. We'll keep looking right now and see if we can find the exact flooring we want.

My husband and I went into Bob’s carpet on Central Avenue in Saint Pete to have an area rug made for our condo. We chose to have the rug made from a mid grade IN STOCKbcarpet as we needed it before Thanksgiving. The gentleman who Helped us was nice and assured us we should have the rug before Thanksgiving, which was still two weeks away. He said that the rug would be cut and sent to the binder and we would pick it up at the warehouse in Largo and he would call us when it was ready. After a week I called and he said the rug was at the binder. He was just waiting for them to call and let him know it was done, he again assured me I would have it before Thanksgiving. Today, Monday, November 21 three days before Thanksgiving, my husband calls, and is being told he doesn’t know when the binders will be done with the rug. I’m upset with first being led to believe I would have this rug before Thanksgiving , and to the lack of communication my husband and I both have been the ones to make contact in regards to our order. Had I known it wouldn’t be done in time for the holiday I would’ve not ordered now I am out over $600 for a 12 x 10 rug that I don’t know when I willget!! with their no refund on special order policy they’ve got you no matter what! BUYER BEWARE

Just a horrid experience. Did not finish the job, took weeks to get someone back in there. Forgot to hook up my washer drain, flooded my downstairs neighbor - admitted to wrongdoing yet told me that it wasn't their problem and that either I or my neighbor would have to pay the $1400 deductible. Even went as far as to say call me a liar and say they would call me back after he "re-read" the exchange - never had the courage to contact me again - will be reporting them to the BBB and CFPB - I have it all documented.EDIT: In response to the owner on the time question - I do not reside there all year round so the neglect was not immediately apparent and the insurance letter from my neighbor took that long to make it to me.

Do not buy from this Pasadena store. Manager Gene is a Con Artist in sheep clothes. He has Absolutely No Customer service feelings and is unyielding in giving customer friendly solutions for any order issues. Just his sick agenda. There are 20 BBB flooring complaints against Bob carpets on installations and other problems. You will not able to get rid of him without Gene demanding new monetary demands and you hiring lawyer. They would not refund my $1300 deposit for vinyl flooring, says it was a Special order, but they buy locally from MSI in Tampa!! My contractor picked it up and was unable to use as it was breaking apart. I had to buy new flooring at floor decor add $800 expense.

The wife went to Bobs Carpet she picked a better top Quality carpet for $3200 and that consist of only two bedrooms. Gene came out the owner. He measured the bedrooms gave the quote quote we agreed on the better carpet and we gave him 50% down, the installers came out very nice guys carefully removed furniture removed old carpet installed a very thin poor quality Carpet. My wife talk to the installers asking him why this type of carpet they said we don’t know quality we just install. My wife went back to the store to show Bob the difference from what he showed her and what we got and the owner Gene disagreed saying was nothing thicker. The day my wife was in the store and pick the carpet there was three grades to pick from after the fact and installed there was only two grades to pick from. Be careful it’ was not the grade she picked, we’ve installed better in our rentals.. I even spoke with Gene the owner at my house and told him I’m only having you because you did my friends house. And your reviews don’t look very well and I guess past customers were right, Buyer beware!

Had two rooms of not-cheap carpeting installed. In one room no one ever walks. The carpet looks brand new. It started getting rolls bigger and bigger. I called Bob's three times and left messages for Gene to return my call. Never got a response.

If you are looking for a truly terrible flooring experience, you have come to the right place. Salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. Installation was a nightmare. Carpet not stretched, bad cuts, and seams split before the installer left. Our condo, common hallways, elevator and parking area were left in shambles. It took us HOURS to clean up the mess. Repairs were made two weeks after the initial installation. No consideration for the problems as the contract states, "WE DO NOT PAY FOR INCONVENIENCE." Perhaps the contract should read, "WE DO NOT COMPENSATE FOR OUR INCOMPETENCE."
