Didn’t stay at the hotel but stopped at the hotel for drinks. They seemed understaffed as one guy was working as the bartender, checking people in and working the whole floor. We got drinks at the bar and they were great! Shout out to the guy working the bar who normally didn’t work behind the bar, I didn’t get his name but we all were super impressed with his service!

Most of the stay was enjoyable, most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. HOWEVER, ON THE DAY OF DEPARTURE! The elevator had been malfunctioning but we were told Sunday that it was alright to use although there may be a hesitation between floors. Early Monday morning I used the elevator to take my bags down to the truck. I returned to the lobby to get some coffee and was approached by a person (in a very aggressive and confrontational manner) who later identified himself as Les the night manager. "the elevator is out of order" I replied that I had been told the previous day that it was okay to use. "they would have taken the sign off" I repeated that I had been told it was okay to use "They would have taken the sign off. If you get stuck I am not getting you out" I told him that is fine but again sir I was told it was okay. "I am an ex-cop you cannot talk to me that way". I walked over to the coffee pot and he pursued me very aggressively in a threatening manner. I stated that I had told him several times that I had been told it was okay to use "no you haven't you just said it now a couple times". It seemed he was trying to escalate the situation. At this point I turned and walked away holding my hand up behind me and said let it go. Future visits will not be spent here and I feel you should address this before it becomes a very serious situation.

Easy parking. Nice bar in lobby. Easy walk to food and night life. We walked to Odd Bird for dinner, the concierge recommended this place it was a great choice. Room was decent. Nice touch to rooms was nespresso machine with cute coffee cups and water. Mini fridge worked great! Linens and pillows were nice and soft. A/C unit had nice cool air but had a bit of a smell. Shower head is detachable which is great but water temp was cold and pressure was not as strong, we have the same moen shower head at our house. Showers need to be upgraded to tile walk-in with full glass door instead of half glass door, as the water splashes out and soaked the bathroom floor. The shower is narrow and body wash bottles are in the way. Would stay again but would love upgraded shower experience, as the shower is the best part of a hotel stay.Walkability: We walked to the bridge to see the night of lights and we walked to dinner at "odd birds"Food & drinks: Nice bar in hotel lobby

So we got a good deal on Expedia and having decent reviews, good pictures and great location we chose this over others. Definitely one of the nicer/updated non haunted hotels in the area. The young man at the front desk helped up both days and was very nice. The entrance is awkward and uninviting but it's what they could make of the weird setup. The lobby is small but very pretty and clean. The building overall is quite small, but it worked. We got a room on the top floor (floor 2). Everything seemed clean, definitely moisture issue signs on the paint in the bathroom but nothing health threatening. The cracked sink should be replaced but I feel they save the rougher rooms for guests that use a third party. We called in about not having hot water, but not having time for it to be fixed before we had to go sort of stunk. Starting my day with a cold shower isn't ideal! Also, one of our bath towels had a hole in it. I didn't mean to be so negative, I would stay here again, at the right price ($130 or less), but the $300 they are getting right now is a bit crazy. The service and appearance and cleanliness is there, just needs some TLC!

Stayed here for a night with my girlfriend last week. Check-in went smoothly, guy was nice, rooms were pretty nice and clean as well.My gf and I went to bar to have a drink. We ordered old fashioned's and they we're ok but could have been better. I got my bill and said to charge it to my room and asked if I could add a tip, which he said yes so I left a tip. When I got my room bill the next day I noticed that there was already a gratuity added to my bill before I tipped which the bartender did not let me know the previous day. So I ended up tipping twice. I don't know if it was intentional or not as the front desk guy was also working as the bartender but every other place I have been to that automatically adds gratuity tells you up front.I would still probably stay again as it was good location / decent price but would think twice about going to the bar.*edit - I changed my review to a 4. Overall the hotel was really great and that is what matters.

I’m not one to complain or leave reviews, especially since I have worked in the hotel industry for 6 years. However, I feel the need to inform people about my experience. There were questionable things I saw wrong with the room but other than that the stay as okay until breakfast. I’m not sure if people called out or they are understaffed right now, but for them to have a breakfast restaurant where you pay for overpriced food.. it should’ve been way better. I’ve had free breakfast better than that. The sausage patties served to us were cold. The “toast” wasn’t toasted. We were just given white bread. My over-medium eggs were over-easy. The potatoes were the only good part. I think the chef must have heard us complaining about the food because he came and sat down with us and started talking badly about the staff and saying it was their fault that the food was bad which doesn’t make any sense. He said the staff doesn’t know what they’re doing and they must’ve gotten too drunk last night. He bragged about how he was the best chef at a fancy hotel for years and people always tipped him big (sounded like he was trying to get us to tip him) it was super strange. I definitely wouldn’t have paid $12 per meal if I had known the food would be cold or not cooked right. He did offer to remake the sausage and give us more toast which was nice but the “toast” still was barely even toasted. The sausage was good the second time. When ordering a specialty coffee that you pay for, the lady said she wasn’t a barista but she’ll try her best.. I just think management isn’t training these employees right. When checking out there was someone behind the desk that I tried to give my keys to and tell them I was checking out since the other lady was on the phone. And he wouldn’t take the keys and said he’s off the clock.. so unprofessional. The room also had a dead roach in the bathroom (which I honestly wasn’t that concerned about since I only saw one and it was dead) but I saw hairs on the toilet and food on the floor by the bed. The outside and inside of the hotel looks great and inviting.. but there needs to be better management and training. I will say that the gentlemen that checked us in, I think his name is Jace, got us checked in early and was very nice. And during breakfast, I saw him running around trying to take orders and do a bunch of other tasks. It seemed like he was probably trying to do other peoples jobs and I commend him for that. He was very kind.

We decided our way to see family in Georgia during a holiday to make a stop. The hotel has interesting architecture and rooms were super clean. The AC needed some TLC. The only other negative was the elevator...we and some other guests got stuck in it ...then it was out of order for the remainder of our stay. However the staff was very nice, the small touches like cold water bottles and Nespresso coffee in the rooms made up for the elevator. Overall it's was nice for quick getaway. Hotel within walking distance to Bridge of Lions.Nearby activities: Walking distance to Bridge of Lions and old St Augustine. Less than a mile.Food & drinks: I would do everything off site. Except for what's in room and complimentary coffee all has a cost.

Outstanding in every aspect. We are diamond members and this is definitely a top 5 of our many choices of IHG options. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Clean updated hotel. Zero complaints and not even a '"wish they could do better at" to add. We parked and walked everywhere from here. Veteran parking right up front. Great food and definitely the best all around service we have received at and IHG. The first 2 restaurants across the bridge of Lions are Harry's and Casa Reina Taqueria & Tequila. Both 5 star food, service and atmosphere with very fair pricing.Rooms: Perfect and updatedNearby activities: All walkableWalkability: Perfect. Our vehicle was not used for 4 days while there.Food & drinks: Top notchNoteworthy details: Outstanding staff

David and Lisa May really make your stay amazing. Their level of care and customer service are rare and refreshing especially now a days. The hotel is clean and inviting. My only complaint is the showers were not made for a 6'4" guy, but that is hard to come across in general. Will definitely come back!

Was one of my favorite hotels and are IHG. As a platinum elite member, according to IHG’s site, you can get the benefit of a late checkout until 2pm, if it’s available. The several times I’ve stayed here, even during the week when no one is here, the front desk is conditioned to say that late checkout is only until 12:00pm and cannot go later. This particular time, I am being picked up at the voco at 12:30pm for a flight, and they couldn’t accommodate nor grant the member benefit past noon. This recurring benefit limitation is probably something to report to IHG. Maybe other members will notice this as well.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. We were in town for a night for a concert in July. Location is convenient to downtown as well as to the St. Augustine Amphitheater. Hotel was clean and modern and the staff were very friendly. Parking is easy as well. Saw a review that complained about the size of the pool, but we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, though it was not busy. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the half glass shower wall instead of a full wall/door, so water sprays/splashes out. The shower head pressure was actually really good which is highly unusual for most hotels I’ve been in. So if a full shower door or curtain could be added, that would make the shower better and more practical. We would definitely stay here again due to location and convenience.

Horrible experience! Rooms were definitely not up to par. I gave them the benefit of the doubt by allowing them to put me in 7 DIFFERENT ROOMS. All 7 rooms were to me, not up to standard. The first room was upstairs. I immediately smelled bleach as I walked in, which would have given me a headache. The next 4 rooms were downstairs. 3 of the 4 had horrible old smelling A/C units, and 2 of the rooms' phones didn't work. The 4th room downstairs smelled normal...the only thing about that room was it was too close to the bar, elevators and the front desk...i got no sleep that one night and was irate because i heard people outside the room door and outside the room window. I woke up the next morning requesting another room. He put me upstairs. The next room was even worse! There was mold on the bed skirt and little black bugs flying around my ankle. I requested one last room. I was assured that this room was perfect. As i entered this room... no smell... no mold. I felt a little better until i pulled back the sheets. There was a long strand of hair in between the sheets that told me to get the hell out of the hotel. That i did. Strands of hair were throughout every single room. O yea rust was EVERYWHERE, including the showers, light fixtures, and even on every clock on the bedside tables, which was weird to me...why not have those replaced??? I was able to find a BETTER hotel for the rest of my stay in St. Augustine, but I definitely wouldn't suggest staying here...my opinion.

Overall the hotel was good. The rooms were clean but no sound barrier. We could hear the car alarm from downstairs and the rowdy people in the street when the bar closed. The shower was horrible because it only had half a glass door set up. We were looking forward to getting in the pool to cool down until we saw it was about a 10' x 10' square. An advantage was that it is close to downtown so you could walk if you wanted.

Very nice place. Good location if you don't mind or prefer to be out of historical district. A real plus is Lloyd the 12 passenger golf cart driver that will take you to many places including the amphitheater & historic district. The bar area is also great and stay open until at least 10 on weekends. Nice size rooms, clean, cool. Only downside to room is the shower door swings & is dangerous. Breakfast was good too.

We really tried liking this place, and we did, for the most part.Pros - nice staff, great pool, amazing lobby and a brand new restaurant.Cons - 1. Our room smelled very funky, and it really wasn’t spacious (we got a double queen bed)2. When we were leaving and we’re fifteen minutes late for the check out, they called us six (!!!) times to get us outta there. For a place that we paid $500, we expected to be treated differently, especially considering the fact that we were with a little baby.3. The Wifi stopped working for hours in the middle of a work day, which is completely unacceptable for the type of hotel this is.
