We took our Rabbit to St. Johns for an emergency appointment due to the bun not eating in 12 hours. During the appointment, Dr. Ashley Siders told us the physical exam showed a healthy bunny and they would like to do an x-ray plus blood work to rule out any illnesses. We were told the blood results would be back in two days at most and were sent home with critical care feed. An hour after leaving the vet, our bunny passed. We contacted the vet the next day and were told Dr. Siders would call us back within the hour. A different Dr. called and explained that rabbits who refuse to eat are normally severely ill and there isn't much to do for them. If this is the case, why were we recommended to get an x-ray and blood work done? Why did they put our rabbit under more stress instead of telling is to take her home and make her comfortable? We asked the doctor this and she refused to give us a direct answer. We were then told again that Dr. Siders would call when the blood work came back. Two days later we received an email from Dr. Siders explaining half of the blood work results. Again she stated the rabbit was very sick and there wasn't anything they could have done. We called the vet asking to speak with the Dr. Over the phone but never received a call back. A week later another email comes in with the rest of the blood results which should have taken only two days. All in all the doctors at this clinic are unprofessional, lack empathy, and also lack responsibility. Instead of telling us to cherish the few moments we had left with our rabbit, they charged us $750 for an x-ray, blood work, and critical feed we did not need.

Dr. Eva is tremendous. We've brought two ailing cats here. One was referred to an excellent eye specialist in Jacksonville. The old boy today just had too many issues to deal with effectively. Dr. Eva conveyed the news with empathy and data. I would advise discussing the authority for resuscitation before signing any paperwork.

Not there for you when you need them. After being a client for 9 years I was denied emergency service. Be careful with these people. Is all about money. Saving life is not their goal. They also have a receptionist that play God by deciding who live or who dies.

The communication between billing and service is inconsistent. They will provide you with a quote and will then change theIr minds. What's worse, we knew what was wrong and had a plan of action that we wanted to take, just to be jerked around so they could get as much money as possible. Not happy and definitely looking forward to going back to our old vet.

Huh, I hope staff and vets are keeping up with the science! I'm sure you have lost lots of clients. Face coverings don't work office manager. N95 masks don't work. If you are that d*** and woke, St. Augustine is not for you! Is it okay if we don't wear a mask, but hold our breath Like Mayor Garcettie of Los Angeles and Gavin Newsom? I would never let d*** highly educated professionals like your clinic staff touch my animal!

Unfortunately we had to go to St. John's when our 17 year old cat became very I'll over night. We are from Atlanta so lucked out when we called and they could see us quickly and we're incredibly kind and compassionate when we had to say goodbye to Cotton. A horrible morning for us but so grateful for the vet and staff. I highly recommend.

I would give them a zero if I could. There is a pervasive rudeness among the staff. The heavy set lady at front desk is particularly rude. They used to make you sit in your car when picking up meds or dropping your pet off. Now, they say nothing about masks till you get in the door. They appear to be too lazy to come out to your car. They seem angry and treat customers with a condescending attitude. They also keep you on hold for sometimes up to 15 mins. Not sure their mask mandate is legal. Dirty clinic. Lost my business.

This place was recommended to me by the Emergency vet clinic across the street. They are sister companies. I'm new to the area and have no family here. After spending $2200 at St Augustine regional veterinary emergency center I needed to bring my dog to another location to be monitor after being bite by a water moccasin. My first red flag should have been the vet tech being more concerned about my mask not being on then my dying dog. Second red flag should have been that the veterinary spoke to me for 2 minutes before they took my dog back. They never called me to let me know what was going on or to give me an update. They never called me to inform me what treatments they were giving my dog and the Veterinary didn't even have the decency to speak to me when I picked her up even after I spent $1100 with them. These people don't care about you nor the well being of your animal. They should have been honest from the start and told me the likelihood of my dog surviving was slim to none. I never experienced this and I'm looking for help from a professional and they steered me in the wrong direction. I do not recommend them or any other sister company of theirs. I spent $8200 between 3 different clinics of theirs and not one person called me to check on my dog after we left. $8200 in the hole and my dog still died. Go elsewhere

Wonderful staff and doctors. Great care to pets. Been coming for almost 14 years and wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

Dr Franz' expertise and involvement has been invaluable as my beloved dog ages and has multiple health concerns. This is a very organized and well run facility.

We actually had to take our kitten to the ER and because she needed oxygen, the ER suggested this practice. The ER vet guy takes his dogs here, which made us feel good about taking our kitten. St. Johns went above and beyond trying to help our kitten. There are multiple vets and they work together, which is great. If you have a tricky case, you have multiple minds working on it. They didn't even use the initial amount of money they said it would cost, and did some testing for free! Honestly, I've been searching for a vet practice that cares more about the pet than money, and I found them. They go above and beyond trying to fix your pet. Also, I greatly appreciate the fact that they are taking the corona virus seriously and doing curbside drop off and wearing masks, which our last vet was not doing. We will be switching vets and taking our pets here from now on.

Have been going to St.Johns for over 3 years for veterinary services, boarding and play-day care. The 1st dog was a white Shepard, Matisse who had extreme separation anxiety. I left him overnight at another facility for a trial run. He broke the bed, torn the water bowl off the wall and managed to open the door and get to the open kennel. He never had a problem at St. Johns. He was boarded on many occasions for up to 10 days. The Veterinarians are great. They gentle, knowledgeable and work with each dog according to their personality. Our current dog, Josephine goes to play care Monday through Friday. She leafs out of the car and is ready to play. Never hesitates even when going for boarding. She loves all of the play care staff and stands up to kiss them. We have had a dog since 1970 and have been to practices all over the country when traveling with our pet. This is the best veterinary practice I have ever experienced.

We took our darling Maxie to be seen by the doctor. The Staff, all of them, were very nice to us and to the dog. However, I am agreeing with some other bloggers, the prices are stiff. In order to diagnose to find the problem, a long list of tests are ordered and the huge bill presented. Turns out, a simple, single blood test would have told us how sick our baby was. Unfortunately we had to decide to leave her in their arms and crying, we said our final good byes. At this time we were offered service for over $500 for cremation etc, $100 for leaving her with them, or $300 if we chose to take the ashes, This is not nice at all
