Our poor Halo had some severe GI issues yesterday that warranted an emergency trip. Staff were incredibly friendly and very understanding of Halo puking in the waiting room multiple times. They mopped it up and never made it feel like an inconvenience. We were seen quickly and the vet who took care of us was fantastic. Younger gentleman (I'll need to edit this with his name). I was very concerned with price as previously for an emergency obstruction surgery elsewhere we felt taken advantage of. That was NOT THE CASE here. They only did what was necessary and the cost was very reasonable for emergency care at midnight. Honestly it shocked me how low it was. Halo came home and slept really well. Woke up in good spirits and ate a little food. I am so thankful we came in last night and were able to ease her discomfort. Thank you!!

I just wanted to first take the time to say thank you to any of those in this position and doing what you do, vet techs, vets, even reception. It's a very difficult job and the encounter I received was nothing but great. Took my little guy Apollo in for something wrong with his eye. I was greeted by a nice empathetic lady asking why he's there. After waiting around 20 minutes (with two other others ahead) we were called back. Almost minutes later we were taken care of and they took him back for vitals. The part that took the longest was waiting during this time. There happened to have been an emergency during this time and that is why the wait was longer than expected. The veterinarian came in and was apologetic, empathetic, and explained what was going on with my dog. She then asked if we had anymore questions. The vet tech (I'm assuming vet tech) came in minutes later with the bill, explained it, and gave us options of treatment rather than just forcing unnecessary tests. Overall the experience was very pleasant for the circumstance. Everyone there was nice, cared for the owners animals, and did their best with limited staffing and a high number of animal intakes. Pricing was expensive but it's just like our hospitals so nothing surprising. Also like hospitals, sometimes cases come in that need higher tend of care, which could mean longer wait times. Please know this has nothing to do with your animal not being important, rather, they might be saving another's life. Apollo is doing great!

they lost my dog !!!!!! place is awful! never a manager on duty! my dog was ill while we were on vacation in st augustine on new years eve. they made us wait six hours. our dog died. we paid them to cremate the dog in full! we got a phone call a week ago saying whoops we left him in the freezer !!!!!!!!!!!!!! its now 20 days and my pet is missing . no remians . no closure ! no apologies and no one to be in contact with as they only have a manager whenever they feel like. today is friday morning no one till tomorrow afternoon! do not bring your loved pet here !!!!

We are so grateful to the amazing staff for saving our sweet dog Kai's life this weekend . After taking him to another vet and getting no help or answers we scooped Kai up and went straight here. He had not ate in 5 days or kept water down for 4 days. He was extremely dehydrated, lethargic and he was deteriorating by the hour. This staff and amazing veterinarian immediately gave fluids, steroids, antibiotics, nausea meds, and we left with high hopes. He kept all fluids down and began eating slowly. By yesterday Kai was running down the stairs happy wagging his tail wanting to eat everything! He's back to playing with his toys. Thank you all for saving Kai and the professionalism, empathy and quick action for our fur baby. I did leave a honest review of the vet that treated our dog like a money sign and not concerned of his health at all. That vet was Del Mar veterinary hospital. This man Ramon Nieves is not a qualified veterinarian and has no business treating animals. Here is a picture of Kai today so happy and back to life!!!

9 pm sept 7 Staff quick to act. This was an Emergency, the ladies ran out to my car lifted up my Pet placed her on the bed and quickly rolled her back into the Room. They took quick action. The staff is understanding and kind. The Doctor on staff that night was kind and caring for our feelings as we had to make the decision to part with our beloved pet. He walked us into a comfortable grieving room, and we had time to spend with our Pet. Thanks to the Doctor and staff for the care and understanding.

My worst nightmare (as most pet parents) is having to visit the emergency vet late at night. My husky got into rat poison at someone's else's house and thankfully I caught her eating it. We rushed to the vet and they were able to give her medication to throw it up and activated charcoal to detoxify if anything got in her system. It is an emergency vet so you can expect it to be expensive. Unfortunately that's just the price of emergency care. The vet techs were fantastic! They were great at calming my anxiety around the situation and were the sweetest to my husky. If it weren't for the emergency pricing, I would debate taking my dog here for all vet visits. Good job to their team for saving my husky!

In times of emergency with your furkid - they are a lifesaver . Literally. The staff are warm and receptive to your needs as well as your furbaby. Wait times are usually quick. Thank Goodness they are close by and open 7 days a week .

unfortunately this is the closest ER and I had to have immediate care for my cat. due to countless mistakes by the staff my cat has gone through a week and 1/2 of non stop overnights at the er and the vet. upon transfer from my vet Saturday to the ER for weekend care the staff informed the other owner of my cat that I was banned from the facility. I am no longer allowed to bring my cat or any of my other pets in for care. I have paid thousands of dollars to them. I do not have any outstanding debts with them. they have given me no reason. I can only be left to think it is to protect themselves from a lawsuit. they are aware of their mistakes. I would not recommend using them if you have the choice to go elsewhere. communication between vets and staff is extremely poor and accidents and wrong decisions happen when there is no communication. at this point they have probably cost my cat his life due to their negligence.

We have had to take our cat Adam for emergency care 3 times in the last month! We are very satisfied with the knowledge and perseverance of the staff who took a personal interest in Adam. They listened closely with what we had to say in diagnosing and treating Adam. We give a big thanks to Amber, Justin and Dr. Pokorny!

Very pricey. 3+ hour wait. My cat had X-rays, informed a mass was found along with back issue. I saw our regular vet and no mass or spine issues.

Unsatisfactory visit with our elderly cat. Our main concern was extreme constipation. The vet examined her and reported "no stool felt" but, at the same time prescribed lactulose (a stool softener). Subsequently our regular vet found massive constipation requiring two enemas. They promised to email a report to our regular vet and to our personal email and never did so. It seems to be impossible to speak directly with the director. Staff was unhelpful in providing specificinformation. Definitely not recommended.

We had to take our fur babies( lolau0026 Kobe) because of a vomiting u0026 diarrhea trying to figure out what they had going on for more than 24hrs. All the Staff and Vet were very friendly, so attentive, very explained how was the procedures, they kept contact with us and took a great care of both for those extra hrs at the ER room. They are happy now, feeling better with the medication ?. Thank you ?

My dog had heart failure and sadly passed away. The folks at this hospital were very kind and helped me with final arrangements.
