Great place to work, professional/courteous employees, all boat maintenance can be done here in water or dry docked by certified technicians. A beautiful, historic town is at your fingertips while you wait for your water transport vehicle to be completed.

Not a place I would do business again.
Disappointing…I have waited just under 1 year to write this review to determine the longevity of their work. Well I’m sad to say, the bottom job we had done by SAMC is blistering off in many places after being in the water less than 10 months. This is on top of paying additional fees for extra prep work to ensure a quality bottom job.
Add this to the fact it took them over 1.5 months from start to “finish” to complete the bottom job. I had to travel in from out of state on numerous occasions to find out that they had not fully completed the work despite being told and billed for a completed job. They also put the wrong product on my props and got that overspray onto my brand new zincs.
As another reviewer mentioned, I also was locked out of the yard after traveling in from out of state with no email communication that gate access had or was going to change.
I would get billed for electric despite my cord being unplugged everything I came back to the yard.
There was never a delay in the yard requesting payment for services, but unfortunately the accuracy of their services did not match the timeliness of their billing.
You’ve been warned.
UPDATE: following the reply from SAMC it is worth nothing they charge for extra prep services but wont provide and sort of warranty…so why do I need extra work if it is not going to last any longer….basically asking for me to waste money.
Also note, they clearly didn’t address their obvious mistakes in the reply. More trying to deflect ownership and accountability for poor craftsmanship and commuinicaton.

We had a great experience with SAMC. We kept our vessel on the hard there for a few months and the marine center preformed several repairs. I can’t say enough about the great level of communication with staff and the quality of work that was performed.

5 stars aren’t enough. All the ladies in the office were incredibly helpful with answering my questions and providing me with logistical solutions. And the guys on the dock helping us launch ahead of schedule were tremendous!! It’s great to have another business contact such as St Aug Marine Center.

Saint Augustine Marine Center is located in beautiful Saint Augustine, Florida.
Everything about Saint Augustine is sought after and expensive. It’s a major tourist attraction and it is gorgeous.
So far everyone that we have talked to at Saint Augustine Marine Center has been professional and they know what they are doing.

Stellar Marine is your answer if you want turnkey experience in boat work or upgrades. Mark and the crew were incredible from start to finish. We purchased new motors from Stellar Marine. Within a few days, we were testing them out on the water. They even helped with packaging/shipping of the old motors to a new home. They were incredibly responsive throughout the process and delivered top-notch service. I cannot recommend them enough.

Frankly, I waited to post this review.
I got out of the yard in November 2023 after being there for a couple of years after I bought a project boat. The yard went from a mild pain to get work completed to a complete waste of time.
During my final visit to the yard to get launched they chained everyone out of the yard during thanksgiving week (After I'd scheduled to launch the following Monday). I got email on the Friday before when I was already committed to travel. I had to punt my launch date, it screwed me over for my crew who was flying in - they got hotel time and yard work instead of sailing. It completely ruined their trip. I also got to pay for another two weeks of storage instead of getting a refund as planned. On launch day they changed my launch time without any warning, resulting in an exhausting day where I almost sank my boat since I didn't have my planned final morning check over time. I was told they had to make time for an additional boat that morning. After all of that, I noted that they didn't launch a single boat the next day.
After management said that yard access would continue until the end of the year, they turned off the gate access with no warning on a Friday afternoon. When several of us checked with the staff, we were told that it would be fixed... fast forward to the following Monday when I turned in my remote to get my deposit back and I got confirmation that management did it on purpose and did not tell anyone who worked in the front office about it. Several customers along with myself were wrapping work up that weekend and this caused all of us to lose work time. (I'm fully aware of exactly who did this, but I'm leaving out their name as a curtesy.)
I had some work performed by the yard, it was decently done, but I had to remind them to come finish the job they'd started after they forgot about it for three months after pausing in the middle of the work.
In my final two weeks in the yard, another customer asked them 'what parts did you use for this service on my sail drive' the staff told them 'I'm not allowed to tell you'. (That customer provided several of the parts for the work, but were charged as if they yard provided all the parts.) I happened to witness this, and I asked the boat owner about it afterward to make sure I understood the situation.
Also of note, while I had my boat there, I worked with several local shops for things like sail repair, upholstery, machine work and parts. More than one of them told me that they were avoiding taking on new work within the yard with all the recent changes. If you have to come here for haul out and outside work, check with your contractors first!
To summarize:
AVOID this yard unless you are desperate. If you do have them do work, you better supervise it if possible and should probably document before and after. Maybe it'll get better, but after multiple phone calls and conversations with staff and management, there was no effort made to actually address customer concerns.

Brought my center console to have the poling platform cut and welded. Not only was the quote very reasonable, they invoiced me for less than the quote. Very rarely does that happen anywhere. Keith was the fabricator and he drops dimes... These welds are the best I've ever seen in person. The yard manager Morgan was extremely professional and seemed to know exactly what we needed and new a lot. We are definitely coming back for more work and going to tell everyone. Thanks guys!

New management is implementing rules without any notice and locking us out from our boat for days…. Gates were chained! 10 days without access to the boat during holiday and prices doubled while amenities decreased. Unless you have to, avoid at all cost!

Terrible recent changes in yard rules, you can't even check on your own boat without yard staff following you. No cars, no ladders, no gate access. I've been a long time commercial customer and I'm canceling my haul out contracts ASAP. AVOID.

Had our SeaRay 480 hauled out here. Easy to schedule and guys on the travel lift were ready when we arrived and within minutes had her hauled out and ready to survey.
