On Halloween my family and I rented a golf cart to go trick or treating, this was our second time using the company. I was 8 months pregnant with twins and on modified bed rest, we had our 4 year old with us… and I didn’t want to miss out on a Halloween with her so we figured a golf cart rental would be a great way to still go trick or treating just a mile away from the shop in uptown. First of all, we figured something was wrong because it smelled SO strongly of gasoline once we got going. It didn’t feel safe. Within the first hour the golf cart was not starting. We could get it back on with someone pushing but eventually it was totally off in the middle of a neighborhood with no after hours number. The lights worked so we didn’t think it was a battery issue, plenty of gas, and the red check engine light was on. We had strangers coming out of their home to try and help, people ended up helping push to a church sidewalk and we cut our 4 year olds Halloween early. We left several messages, not knowing what to do, took the keys and called an uber to take us to solano where our car was. Needless to say it was not the best Halloween…. Even with all that happening we would have been okay and probably rented from them again with good customer service because things happen, we’re all human, and we understand… but weeks later we still keep getting the run around. Apparently only the owner can issue a refund or even talk to us about the issue and all the employees just say he will “call us back. They have our info”. My husband has been into the shop MULTIPLE times to try and talk to someone and we’ve collectively called maybe 10 times in the past few weeks. One employee tried to blame us for the issue saying we probably were “stopping and going too much and that could flood the engine” to which my husband replied “well why weren’t we told this? There was no safety briefing or anything. We are trick or treating obviously there is stop and go.” And the employee said “yeah we should have told you.” We paid cash so we can’t dispute with our card. It wasn’t even that much money, maybe $122 but it’s the principal at this point. Will never rent from them again, horrible customer service and an owner that truly doesn’t care about the people and just their money. 0/10 recommend. Go to the place on the corner of ice plant instead.

Worst buying experience of my life. They either avoid calls or flat out lie. After 2 and a half months of problems every single step of the way they have now taken so long to deal with the tags for the bike that I have expired temporary plates on the bike and they are simply stringing me along with lie after lie of when things will be taken care of. A month ago, it would be all set in a few weeks. A week and a half ago after not hearing anything from them, I called and they said Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. No call this week. Called them Friday. They were "picking up the tags this afternoon, come to the shop first thing tomorrow." Stood outside until they opened the doors at 10:15 (supposed to open at 10) and they still don't have them, come back later. Absolute garbage business with people who don't care a single bit about customers, do absolutely nothing to make good on their end, and simply are the most unreliable, dishonest business I have dealt with to date.Plenty of other bike shops around, avoid Solano Cycles at all costs or you will regret it.

Went by to learn about some E-Bikes. Two guys were very helpful (Matt and ?). Matt really took his time with us and was able to answer so many questions.

Service is a joke! Took my scooter to have carburetor work done and it looks like they never took the carburetor off and bike runs worse than it did when I brought it to them. They had the scooter for about a month and my bill was $500. I asked what work was done and they couldn't tell me. The mechanic didn't give me a definite answer on what was done to rack up a $500 bill. I was told that they changed the fluids, new battery which I did not get and capped a vacuum line. They said it seems to be running better with the capped line. When I got the bike home I took it apart to look for work they have done. No capped line! No carburetor work was done and I was charged a ridiculous amount of money for my bike to run the exact same as it did when I dropped it off. You can buy a new scooter from this place but be ready to not be able to get it serviced anywhere! Once it doesn't run right you either need to do the work yourself or sell it for pennies. I will not go back to this shop and I highly do not recommend!

Poor service took 3 months to get my kymco agility motor rebuilt under warranty, when I picked up the scooter and loading it, decided to crank it and guess what no battery in bike. It's a long way from GA for my battery that was in scooter when dropped off. Do yourself a favor and don't use there dealership's for serious repairs. Bike didn't last long after cylinder head replacement.

As much as I do not like to write reviews, unfortunately I feel the need to write this one.Last week I experienced what I can easily rank as my Worst customer service experience at least in my last 25 years, in Solano Cycles of St. Augustine. Before I describe my experience, in my personal opinion I can say that it seems that the main thing that they are good at is at rentals.A month before, I bought a $10K bike from them. I made an appointment to pick it up after it arrived. After I got there, I had to wait like 2 hours to pick it up mainly because they were too busy taking care of the people that kept coming in AFTER me to rent bikes. Not necessarily because of my paperwork. Now here comes the Worst. Three weeks ago, they called me that a part I had ordered arrived. That same day, I made an appointment with 2 weeks of anticipation (last week) to get the part installed and have an oil change. Martin told me that he had to order the oil filter in advance, and I agreed. Two weeks later, after a 1 hour distance ride I arrived to my appointment on time. I had explained to him before that because of the distance I could not drop the bike to pick it up the next day, that I had to wait there for the bike. He agreed. I arrived at 11am per the appointment and turned in the key.Since I was in the middle of St. Augustine's attractions, I told him that I was gonna go out have some lunch and do some sight seeing walking. He agreed.I came back two and a half hours later and my bike was not ready. He told me that the cargo box was already installed, but that the kymco oil filter that he "ordered" 2 weeks ago had not arrived yet. He told me that he had to research and order a compatible one from a near auto parts shop.A person with an Auto Zone or Advance Auto parts (can't recall) shirt arrived 45 minutes later with a STP oil filter. An hour later, Martin told me that they can't remove the original filter, that they do not have a tool to remove it. He left to get a tool to remove that oil filter and returned 25 minutes later. To summarize, I arrived at daylight, 11am and did not leave their shop until 6:15pm (already dark). I was literally their last person in the shop before they turned off their lights. I had to ride back home 1hr at night (I don't like long rides at night) under rain.7 Hours waiting for a 2hr job at the most. I told him right then how I felt. He didn't even apologized, looking for excuses. He still charged me for the full oil change and said he gave me a discount...I just have to LOL now! I do not care much about "discounts", I care about good quality work and customer service. By the way, the whole time I was there I had to approach him for updates. He never cared to come to me for updates.I will never do business with them again! Not even a rental.

Bahaha... these things can be fun I suppose. We thought it would be a fun way to scurry along St Augustin's narrow streets. Should you decide to try it out for yourself toss the map and follow your own instinct. We got hung up trying to follow that map. Be sure to smile and wave to the kiddos along the way.

We rented a 4 seater golf cart to drive around Historic St. Augustine. It was great! Got to see a lot more than the tour gives & we controlled where we went. It was quick & easy to rent. Very affordable. Recommended ?

Great customer service ! The prices weren't bad at all , they have a variety of motorized vehicles good to rent and exploring the town.
