The pearl I purchased was fresh from its shell. She showed me how she cleans them before it went into my dolphin cage pendant. All metal was sterling silver. A+ 5 stars! Just my experience.

What a charming and beautiful store! Barbara was so sweet and taught us all about pearls. She helped us choose some gorgeous pieces- a necklace and earrings for me and a bracelet for my daughter. They made the experience special and unique. Highly recommend!

My husband took me here and bought me a beautiful pearl necklace. Years later took our girls here and bought them a pearl drop necklace. Very cute. They got to pick the clam and the person who was working cracks it open. It was very fun to watch and see how excited they were about the color they got!

Nice little pearl store with very friendly service. I talked to the lady who was attending the store for awhile about Saint Augustine's history and my own family's history with the city (though I currently reside in Washington State).Great selection of pearls and my daughter bought some nice keepsakes for my granddaughters.

The lady and her store are absolutely amazing, I've been waiting to get my daughter her first real pearl necklace, and you can't get more authentic than this store, all natural pearls strung with silk, the quality is amazing and the prices are great. She also gives with the purchase the chance to come back and get a broken necklace that came from there fixed, or exchanged out for another of same price, which makes the deal that much sweeter.

I sent my husband and daughter to get his Tigers Eye bracelet fixed at a different shop but, it was closed. His elastic bad had broken and he needed it restrung. He happened into this place and they sold him fake Jade beads and restrung his bracelet on fishing wire, which they told him was a braided wire and would last a long time. It broke within three days. I don't know about the authenticity of their pearls but, they should stick to that.

I happened upon this store while visiting St Augstine. I had lost a pearl earring and went to a jewelry store for replacement in Orlando. The cost was way too much. I ended up buying a small matching pair for 100.00 on sale at a mall. I almost fell over when I went into this store. The selection was beyond belief and the prices incredible. I bought a larger size pink hued pair. I love them. Wish I had bought a black set. The lady was so helpful. You might need help …the selection is so large lol.

Brought the wife here for our 40th wedding anniversary and myself and my wife were 100% satisfied with this experience…got one white pearl, one champagne pearl and one black pearl. The couple that own the place were so accommodating and friendly. Well worth the price. Picking your own oyster and watching them open it was kind of exciting. And to top that off military and veterans get a discount. Loved this place will definitely go back the next time we are here….very soon I hope

In 2019, I and a family member, found this unassuming, little shop tucked away in a side alley in StAugustine's Historic area. BEST find ever because it is the only shop I have ever found button pearls used in jewelry (and I have been fortunate enough to do worldwide travels). Even Google has not been helpful to find these unique pearls. This year post-CoVid, my husband returned to the StAugustine area armed w/my request to go back to the Pearl Shop for the button pearl jewelry. Being married for 48 years, I do not usually make any requests to my husband for jewelry of any kind. Additionally, I requested he ask the owners of the possibility to restring the original bracelet I purchased. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the owner and we are presently working for restringing and strengthening my bracelets w/a suggestion the owner relayed to me. Yes, The Pearl Shop is a real keeper while remaining professional, friendly and helpful from a little shop that has a very unique, one-of-a-kind pearl. Cannot get any better than that in this somewhat topsy-turvy world. These pearls remind me of my family and the great times we had in StAugustine every day they are on my wrist. Always, puts a smile on my face when I look at my unique pearls. Thank You. RutchenB.

One of my Mom's beloved and very valuable saltwater pearl necklaces broke at the clasp and needed to be restrung. The Pearl Shop does this in store, so Mom decided to give them a try. Best. Decision. Ever! This shop is owned by a husband/wife team and she has been restringing for 20+ years. Her work is extraordinary!! and Mom's pearl necklace is now better than new because small gold balls were added adjacent the clasp to prevent the wear that broke the strand, and to allow the clasp to be changed (if she ever wants to) without restringing. To top it off, the price was less than half the cost of sending it off to be restrung. Though we weren't shopping, we couldn't help but notice the beautiful collection of unique fresh water pearl jewelry available. A variety of lovely pearl colors and sizes, many paired with colorful crystals. We can't wait to go back to take a closer look!
