They are trying to ban backpacks. They don't care that people need backpacks to bring there food home. Don't shop here.

They are banning people with backpacks. How do you carry your purchases home? Discrimination against walkers. Most young people use backpacks to carry everything everywhere and especially to carry water when walking in Florida is extremely important. It makes no sense to stop people shopping there because they have a backpack.....

The cashiers are always super nice and helpful. Even though it's a new store, I'm a regular, was a regular at the other one on SR16, but now this one is closer to home, and as far as some other "rude" reviews, the cashiers rarely get smoke break and have NEVER made anyone wait! (Just because you don't smoke, you shouldn't judge another persons ability to work that has nothing to do with it) This is the best Dollar General in St. Johns.

Smoke breaks should be done when you take your lunch break, before your shift or afterwards. Doesn't make sense why anyone has to wait for your addiction to kick in. Gross.

The store is awesome. I love the cashiers. I like to think of myself as a new regular. Awesome service. However, store management needs to get their act together and give some of those ladies a break. They have on person in store most of the time working. That's alot of strain on a person. Not to mention not very safe, especially on the night shift. They do a great job, dont get me wrong. But they deserve a little help. 3 stars only because of that. Management needs to get their act together.
