Went shopping for a new Surfboard and Chuck helped me out. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! He got me all set up with a great new board. His passion for surfing was clear. I live closer to the Neptune Beach location but will go to St Augustine just to work with Chuck next time I need anything surfing related.

Wasn't greeted upon arrival. Girls and manager on duty were gossiping and trash talking peers. Made for a very bad vibe in the air. Swim suit selection is very poor, mainly millennial triangle tops and bottoms.

Excellent service. We walked in, went to the skateboard section and right away Matt came over and helped us. He asked us what we were looking for and took the time to listen. He explained the different skateboard options and stayed close the entire time so that when we had questions, he was available to answer them. He directed us towards something that worked perfectly for us. Very happy with our purchase and Matt’s customer service.

Top notch! Friendly staff that greets you when you walk in. That sounds like something simple, but a lot of shops don't do that anymore, and It really makes customers feel welcome.Chuck, I think it was. (Long-haired surfer dude) was super cool and helpful.Place was clean and well lit.The only thing that would make it better would be a larger clearance section lol.

In May I bought two pairs of "Reef" flip flops at Aqua East, one for me and one for my ten year old son. This weekend, one of my sandals had the strap come completely off while I was vacuuming my house. The flip flops are otherwise in like new condition. I went into the store today and the two young women at the cash register snootily told me that the store has a strict ten day return policy and no exchanges after that period. In other words, they told me that there's nothing to be done other than me contacting the maker of the flip flops. Aqua East charges top prices for merchandise but doesn't stand behind that merchandise. Buyer beware! They also employ people who'd rather act cool (and condescending) than to help customers.

Excellent selection and brands. Great shopping. Friendly customer service and help with selecting merchandise. Made exchanging a pair of defective sandals a simple, no-hassle process.

This is a very nice surf shop. In comparison, I went back to the 17th Street Surf Shop in Virginia Beach recently where all the staff acted like we didn't belong there because we don't look like surfers. At Aqua East, the sales ladies were helpful and friendly. We purchased good quality Catch Surf boogie boards and I had fun reliving my summers boogie boarding as a child.

One of my favorite stores in st aug! Woody was the biggest help in the world to us and so kind. For sure a 1 of a kind store! Everyone there is always willing to help a local or tourist out. Love it!
